One of the dentists is completely unprofessional and rough. They slightly sliced my gums and which caused me to get an infection and when I went back the dentist said that what I was claiming to be an infection was already there, but she can prescribe me antibiotics. The first dentist, who did my cleaning, did not mention any problems and it never bothered me until the second dentist was incredibly rough with my mouth and in turn, sliced my gums near my molars. ( I have gotten a second opinion from another establishment) My whole experience felt demeaning and I invested quite a bit of money to get my teeth fixed. I regret doing it here. It just feels like a business with bad leadership and a lot of unprofessionalism. read more

I bought a Groupon for a cleaning and x-ray. Called the office multiple times (during office hours) in an attempt to setup an appointment but no one ever answered the phone. I decided to leave a voicemail hoping they would call me back, but they never responded, so I tried once more. Nothing. In a last-ditch effort, I went to their website to schedule an online appointment and was directed to send an email. I did and never heard back. It seems that in order to make an appointment here you have to go in person or chance simply show up and hope they'll see you on the spot. With my schedule, that's not possible. The doctors are awesome here. I have been a patient here for over 6 years. The service and professionalism are always top notch. The office is nice and clean. I recently got Invisalign here. Importing my review from another review site back when I visited Absolute Smile over a year ago. My traumatic experience is still fresh in my memory. I only hope we did not contract any diseases from Absolute smile. 1. We were around 500 dollars poorer and we left with an absolute FROWN 2. They book a lot of patients at the same time. The wait time was not long but the service and care we received were very disappointing 3. When I was ushered in to get my x-ray done, I had to ask the dental assistant for the protective cover! Apparently it slipped her mind. From that point onwards I was ready to walk out of the dental office and I was feeling very nervous about what other serious mishaps might happen. 4.The dentist slipped into my side of the wall when she was half done with the other patient next to me. She worked on my teeth, numbed my gums and proceeded to the next patient onto the other side of the wall. Then the dental assistant took over. Doubt she really did anything to my teeth. The way she worked on my teeth felt as though it was her first time doing dental work. 5 minutes later, the dentist popped back to my side of the wall and started working on my teeth again. At the point I was trying to be very vigilant. I was afraid that she would somehow forget to change her disposable gloves when she was popping back and forth. I could go on and on but overall I was absolutely disappointed with Absolute smile. They ripped me off my money and provided shoddy service; I hate to say this but I am sure even 3rd world countries provide better dental care and service for a fraction of their price. read more

Since my initial procedures I have had to go back roughly 9 different times to get things fixed correctly and I am still having issues stemming all the way back to my initial visit in May. I am not having to fly to Nashville,TN to go to my families dental office to get things done correctly. Needless to say I am not a happy camper and this boarders on negligence on the part of the dental office. Since visiting and posting my initial reviews they have asked me several times to change my reviews and that bad reviews look bad on their business. Well too bad...maybe good work should be the standard here instead of worrying about your reviews that are true! I had my teeth cleaned here a few months ago and let me just say that the staff and doctors here are wonderful. They were very helpful and knowledgable when it came to my teeth. I highly recommond everyone in Denton to go here. Dr. Nguyen hands are so gentle when she was cleaning my teeth. I brought my mom with me and she also had her teeth cleaned. She said that no one ever cleaned her teeth like Dr. Nguyen and that she would come back next time because Dr. Nguyen did not hurt her. I didn't have any issues with the appointment time or had to wait at all. I left there with a fresh mouth and pearly white teeth. This place is a bit far for my convenience but a good friend of mine referred me to them and when it comes to my pearly whites, I don't mind going the distance! Right when I walked in I felt comfortable. The waiting area was nice and spacious and the receptionist greeted me promptly with a smile. I filled out some paperwork and 5mins later a young lady took me back for my xrays. I've never been in an office where there were TVs in the rooms so that was a great surprise. I hate thinking about getting my teeth cleaned so that was a nice distraction. Dr. Nguyen came in right after to examine my xrays and she was awesome. I love it when someone makes you feel comfortable right away and she did just that. She answered any questions I had before we got started very thoroughly and I really appreciated that. I've had some doctors that would just hurry or convince me that I needed work done that I didn't really need. She was honest and very knowledgeable. I was referred by my sister-in-law as I was looking for a dentist for a consultation, as well as looking for an ortho since I was thinking about getting braces. I have not been to the dentist in a long time, I am not a fan. It is a bit far for my convenience, but I am glad I came here. Rest assured, I felt like home when I first walked in. I was greeted nicely by the front desk and filled out all the necessary paperwork. The office was very busy and the lobby was full with patients, but the wait was not long. Dr. Nguyen was friendly and nice. She made me feel comfortable and at ease, as I have not had my teeth cleaned in a long time. She answered all my questions thoroughly and she took time with me answering my concern questions. I have also met the Ortho and had my consultation for braces. I came back for the 2nd time to get my teeth extracted. I was scared, but Dr. Nguyen made me feel safe and comfortable during the process. I am coming back again every month to this office, as I have chosen to do my braces with the Orthodontist that they have on site. I previously had dental insurance coverage, but not anymore. Absolute Dental had worked with me to set up a payment plan that works with my budget. I am glad that I have chosen this place to take care of my dental work. My ortho experience here was practically the worst experience I've ever had. I don't think the orthodontist there actually knows what he's doing, and neither do the staff. I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money at this place. There were times when I would go in for adjustments and the assistants would place the bands incorrectly or place the wrong bands all together and I had to be the one to correct them. For ex, at one of my visits I was supposed to get a power chain put on but the assistant forgot to put it on so I had to remind them about it. Also, whenever I would ask the doctor questions about my treatment I would always be given a vague answer. It really made me feel as though they just did not care. read more

I gave them two stars because they saw me for free, on some new patient special. I went there because I had a tooth infection and I also wanted to discuss option for replacing several missing teeth. I arrived on time, I was not greeted immediately because the receptionist was busy LOUDLY talking to her car finance company about her payments, the girl next to her more interested in her colleague's phone conversation that me. Eventually, the call ended, and she gave me a laminated patient form with a visa vis marker...even signatures and patient notices? Looking on the counter, she was busy with a STACK of these and a wet paper towel cleaning them off. HOW is this legal? Is is REALLY that expensive to print every patient their own copy? WHERE are they storing this data, and if they wipe off your signature how do they prove you ever signed it??! Ok, whatever, I filled it out the best I could considering a marker has a very thick tip and the forms were small, meant for a standard ball point pen...I waited about 10 minutes to go back. I got several xrays and then waited another 20 minutes for the doctor. I can't remember his name because I saw him so quickly. He poked in my mouth, shouted information to his assistant very quickly - including wrong information - he told her I had a bridge where I had none, they were all individual crowns...wonder what else he missed in his haste?! I started to ask questions about possible treatment, but he just told me I needed my bad tooth pulled (it had a root canal and a crown done last year), that there was no saving it. I protested because it is literally the last spot in the back of my mouth I can chew due to other missing teeth. He told me he could give me a partial denture, that his assistant will fill me in on the details, and then took off for the next patient. No other questions allowed, no discussing other treatments I was wondering about, no time to correct him on his mistakes. I got prescriptions for my infection and told to come back when I was ready for the treatment. I already have made an appointment with another dentist. Edit in reply to below: Please re-look at the x-rays. He claimed I had TWO bridges, on the top 6 front teeth of my mouth, one on each side. That is not true. I have bridge on one side, and three individual crowns on the other side. I know what teeth are missing in my mouth and the differences between crowns, bridges and and pontics. That seems to be a little more than you do. I visited student dentists after this appointment, and they correctly identified the teeth and dental work in my mouth as well. I am not the type to write reviews but felt like this office deserves some recognition. I was referred here by my coworkers who takes her entire family here. She talks highly of the doctors here so i decided to give them a chance and i am so glad i did. Everyone was extremely professional and my family got seen right away. The office was very clean (very important for a dental office). The doctor that saw my kids was extremely nice and informative. I asked her a lot of questions and she spent a long time with us answering everything. I felt very comfortable here. One of my kids is very scared and The assistant made sure he was comfortable and gave him sunglasses to wear so the lights dont blind him. I felt like they go above and beyond for everyone. This place SAVED my life (and prevented me from social suicide). I'm from New Orleans and went to Dallas a week ago to visit my relatives. So one day, I was happily eating at a Thai place that I absolutely LOVE in Dallas and my front filling chipped off. This was not a small chip but a VERY NOTICEABLE chip (I got a filling done to my two front teeth 6 years ago and it went hollow over the years so I had a dark mark on my two front teeth). I was mortified because I looked so ugly!! I seriously cried when it happened because the restaurant was packed and i was causing attention. Anyway, so I immediately contacted a friend to inquire about good dental offices. She recommended absolute smile dental In Denton, Texas and I immediately made an appointment. The receptionist squeezed me in and I arrived there 3 hours later. The staff there were so nice! They didn't laugh at my chipped teeth when I clearly expressed my frustration and instead consoled me and said everything would be okay. So l was taken care of by Dr. Cecile? I think that was her name and she told me that everything would be okay and started working on my teeth. My situation was difficult because my previous filling was extremely close to my nerve so i would maybe have to get a root canal. Luckily she worked her magic and I didn't have to get a root canal done. I LOVED what she did. She completely fixed my front teeth and whitened it. you couldn't even tell that it was chipped. I went front crying and thinking I'd be humiliated back home and around Dallas to whiter teeth and a more confident smile! I definitely don't even have to worry about being self conscious of my black mark anymore and my teeth being yellow. She did a marvelous job and I'd definitely recommend people to go to her. if I could post a before and after picture of my teeth then I would. My teeth were CRAY. Seriously. Every single cleaning I have had in my 34 years has consisted of at least a plague scrape, gum measurement, flossing, overbite check. This was a complete rip off!! I wasn't impressed with my experience at this office. I scheduled an exam, x-ray and cleaning, it's been over a year and half since my last cleaning. I had the exam, all was good, x-rays, all was good. And by "exam" I mean she opened my mouth and looked at my teeth. No gum check, no overbite check. Then a woman came in to "clean" my teeth, she said, "I polish you then the doctor will clean." Odd I thought, usually they clean first. She did a terrible job, it was as if it was the first time she had used the tools, polish was all over my face and she barely touch any of my teeth! Then she said "ok you are done." I explained that I scheduled a cleaning, she is confused, gets the doctor and the doctor says, "that was the cleaning." $100 and a few frustrating "are you kidding me" moments later I left. Oh and they did offer me a "deep clean" which they said I didn't need, it was priced at $300. Update: While I was able to see the actual doctor that works at the business full time, I would like to point out that they do no,t or did not, offer a dental hygienist to perform a proper cleaning as I had requested when making the appointment. On the second visit the dentist, Dr. Nguyen, did measure my gums and check my teeth telling me that everything looked good and I didn't need a cleaning. So I suppose if you want preventative dental care, twice a year cleanings, don't make an appointment with this practice. You won't get that here. And even though everything "looked fine" I had two cavities and a filling that was crumbling. But I suppose they would rather wait until those got worse. So in all, I'd say no, I didn't leave "satisfied." But the effort to contact me and attempt to make me feel like I received proper dental care gets this practice a little more credit than previously reviewed. read more

I brought a friend here that needed emergency dental treatment for a tooth that was giving her unbearable pain and the staff did a great job to get her in. Dr. Kulkarni saw her and was polite, gentle and always checked on her to make sure she was ok and comfortable. He quickly removed the tooth and answered any questions she had and made sure she had the clinic's contact information if she had any issues. Had a good experience at this dental office! read more

I called them at 1:00pm today, due to a tooth ache that was unforgiving! They squeezed me in for a 1:30pm appointment. They were super friendly, super willing to answer ALL my questions, and were so good at explaining the answer to my questions. I will never go to another dentist! The staff at this facility went above and beyond!! I'm not good with dental work and I asked them to play music for me and instead of brushing my request off and just taking my money, they played the music I wanted! I have nothing but respect for this facility and everyone that works here! Not to mention they do quality work! I've gone to other dentist and have been very disappointed, but for the first time, I walked out with a smile on my face! Everything seemed to go okay until it wasn't, I had an appt. at 2:30 I walked in at 2:20 and signed in and waited in an empty waiting room for about 20 min to be seen and at first I was taken to the x-ray machine, Then they put me in a room with a wet chair and told me to just wait it for it to dry after being told to wait I wasn't spoken to for 45 min, meanwhile there was NO AIR-CONDITIONING and all I hear are the hygienist and front desk girls gossiping and not being considerate of the fact that they have a customer in a chair not being told how long of a wait when I clearly had an appt. for 2:30 I wasn't seen till an hour later. I came in for a simple cleaning and to obtain an upper and lower retainer all and all a pretty simple routine check up. The doctor came and sat down and a hygienist finally brought a fan over while she was working on my teeth. After being seen by the dentist which took 10 min max and then the dentist left and I never saw her again. Then 2 hygienist came to do my upper and lower retainers both were inexperienced on how to make the right texture for the impressions of my teeth. At one point one of the hygienist got the mold all over my face, hair and clothes and proceeded to just gossip with the other hygienist not ever apologizing. While also aggressively shoving the mold filling in my mouth and pressing way harder then needed to be. They tried 7 more times at creating a mold and still they could not create one. After all the gossiping and mold in my hair and clothes I didn't feel comfortable and I did not want them to touch my mouth any more and so I left. If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service was terrible and I will not return to this establishment. read more

This is my go-to place to get my dental work. I have seen Dr. Nguyen multiple times for different purposes including cleanings, cavities, a root canal, crown restoration, etc. I am happy with all their services. They always exceed my expectations and I know I can always count on them to do a great job! Dr Nguyen and her staff take great care of me and I am in and out of the office in no time. I never have to wait long to be seen. Not only are they efficient, but they are also very thorough. They talk me through the procedure and give me clear instructions afterwards. Each room has a TV so it makes the experience very enjoyable. There are also very cute cartoon pictures with silly dental jokes posted throughout the office. You feel right at ease when you come here. The prices are also very reasonable. Attention to detail, quick services, and good prices - everything you need in a dental office! Don t waste your TIME people. That s exactly what happened to me. I went in May for a cleaning and to have my permanent crown re-cemented. My appointment (I was not a walk-in) was at 3:30. I waited in the lobby for over 2 and a half hours. When they finally called my name, they took my x-rays then i waited an additional hour before i was seen by the dentist. When she finally took a look she told me she would recement the crown. I had to remind her I was also getting a cleaning and her response was oh you want to do that today. I told her I made an appointment (again not a walk-in) and that YES i was expecting a cleaning today. My x-ray revealed i had a filling that need to be filled again. I thought ok, sure let s do it......but because it was after closing time when the dentist got to me and I m taking a wild guess that she was ready to go home, she told me i d have to come in another day to do the filling. Very annoying! After she finished with me, I went to the front desk to check out, the dentist followed me with her purse and belongings and told me to have a nice day as she rushed out the door to leave. I got home very angry & did what any customer would do, i wrote a review online. The following day one of the owners called me. I m guessing he read my review. Anyways I explained to him what happened and he apologized. I told him that I had to get a filling but i didn t want to go back to his office, because my time is very valuable (i m a business owner and a mother of 2 toddlers). He assured me I wouldn t have to wait again. You see the reason i waited over 3 and a half hours is because 1. they overbooked and 2. even though i HAD an APPOINTMENT the office saw the walk-ins that arrived oh but a few minutes before me. I told the owner, Terry, that it was very disappointing to wait so long and to have to remind the dentist to clean my teeth (one of the reasons i made the appointment in the first place). Again he assured me & actually thanked me for bringing the issue to light to him and said he d give me a discount for the filling. I said ok. The following day he called me again and actually offered to do the filling for free. Again i said ok. Then the owner Terry asked me if i could remove my review i had written about his office. I agreed even though my gut told me if was a mistake. A HUGE HUGE mistake of me to remove my review and go back to this office. Once again, i made an appointment. Actually when i called and gave them my name the receptionist told me i would be waiting if i came in on a tuesday because they were going to be very busy that day. She suggested I come in monday (the day i was calling), but she suggested i come in at 3:30, because when i was calling it was around noon she said they were busy and that i d be waiting. She told me at 3:30 they had an appointment for one person and i d be the 2nd person there. I appreciated her telling me this so based on her suggestion I made the appointment for 3:30pm. This time i waited about 30 mins in the waiting room, i was called back and waited on the chair for over an hour. I couldn t take it anymore and my husband and I started complaining to the manager on duty. She immeditely called the owner on the phone and the owner wanted to talk to me on the phone. I did not want to talk to her because i was numb, i couldn t talk comfortably and i was upset to talk.The manager stood there on the phone with the owner & she said the owner said i wouldn t have to pay for the filling because of the wait time. I was appalled. The other owner, Terry, the husband already said the filling would be covered. I told the manager that and I guess after that the owner had nothing to say. After the dentist finally came in, he did my filling. He told me the tooth would be sensitive for several months. Unfortunetly for me, my tooth is killing me. It feels like i now need a root canal for that tooth. I lost a lot of time just waiting around at that office. DON T WASTE YOUR TIME PEOPLE!! read more
