I had high expectations based on their Google reviews and clear communication with dispatch. Sadly, the experience I had was unlike anything I have ever experienced in my 20 years of homeownership. Here are things to watch out for with Pride Plumbing of Redlands and Palm Desert: 1) bait and switch service scope and pricing; 2) sloppy and legally-insufficient estimates; 3) inexperienced plumbers with very poor communication and interpersonal skills; 4) promised and broken arrival times; 5) inability to work cooperatively with other tradesmen (by their own admission); 6) customer blaming for their miscommunication; 7) unfamiliarity with high-end, European-made gas appliances (by their own admission); 8) leaving metal debris behind for the customer to dispose of; 9) not providing customers timely copies of their estimates; and 10) not providing customers copies of paid receipts for work. If you have a mid-mod in Palm Springs or a kitchen renovation with high-end European appliances, I do not recommend Pride based on my experience. They'll arrive late, argue with you, overcharge you, waste your time, and then not give you a receipt.

He replaced all of our ancient sewer lines and even threw the repair of a toilet and shower into the deal for no additional charge! He also gave us a deal on the installation of a new water main, which wasn't really necessary, but we took advantage of the fact that it was very easy and cost effective to do since the water main was running parallel to the trenches that had already been dug. Bill's work is impeccable and he's honest to a fault too. He followed through on his promise to come back after the job was done in order to patch up the areas in the concrete sidewalk that were slightly damaged by the installation of the new piping. He also came to me and confessed that one of his workers had broken a water valve on the City side of the property, and he kept his promise to reimburse me for the City charge when it showed up on my bill. Kudos to this small but totally professional and totally honest father and son business. A-Advantage really is the best plumbing service in the area.

He's pretty booked up which he told us about in advance but it wasn't a problem to wait a few weeks considering the issues were old themselves. Robert came to do the estimate as promised, sent it, I approved and he came to do the work this week. We are SO impressed with the quality of his workmanship and attention to detail. Everything looks perfect and more importantly we now won't have leaking or damage when the rains come. He matched the paint perfectly and did really beautiful repair work on our front door. As he was doing the front door repair he noticed that the weather stripping seals were bad, so he let me know and replaced those too. He also replaced a latch on a slider that's been broken for a while, repaired a garage side door with terrible weather stripping, installed a couple of new electric lights that have not worked for a year and took care of a long to do list that we are not skilled enough to do ourselves.
