This place quotes you a lower price to get you to commit to having someone come out. I called them to come out. They said it would be 25 dollar service charge and 29 minimum labor. I let them know it was a simple doorknob, no deadbolts or anything. Would take seconds! When the locksmith came out he quoted me 125 bucks! On top of the high charge, the technician was extremely rude. We called back the place and they said "well that's roughly what they charge". They should start with saying that rather than give a lower quote to make it seem we found a great deal. The request was under my husbands name not my own. And I am not in any way connected to another locksmith company. Just naming another business that helped us after this one tried to scam us. I removed the name of the other business to prove this is a real review. The business manager of absolute locksmith tried to report and flag my review as inappropriate. read more

My car key broke and I bought an empty shell case online with a blank blade and they were so accommodating to my need to just show up, have it cut to the original, and reprogrammed to my car. I needed an interactive multi lock key to be copied. I called several locksmiths and they didn't do it. Finally I found Absolute. So kind, great customer service and very friendly. They really want to help you. Once I was done, I came home and unfortunately the keys didn't work. I called them and explained the situation and asked for a refund. They were kind and said that they will honor the refund. However, an hour later, I received a call saying that the manager was going to drive to my house- for free to check out the keys out himself and see if he can fix it. He drove from Laguna Niguel all the way to Newport Coast without a house visit fee, worked on the keys and fixed. This is such unbelievable customer service!! I can't say enough. AND.....AND $20 because I did not have the original key. Pardon me but that's part of your business, me calling you out because I'm either locked out or something's broken. Don't be fooled into thinking these guys are locksmiths - they're more like "guys with a drill." Had a simple BEDROOM DOOR that I accidentally got locked out of. Had these guys come over. He couldn't pick it, he couldn't use his little metal sheet to slide the lock open, he couldn't do anything a brain-dead locksmith should be able to do. Remember, this is a SIMPLE BEDROOM LOCK. When this guy told me he had to resort to using a DRILL and told me it would be 2x more expensive, I called the owner to complain about what kind of useless locksmith they sent me. His reply - "You can't always pick a lock - it's not like in the movies." I retorted with, "I'M NOT ASKING HIM TO CRACK OPEN A SAFE - IT'S A BEDROOM DOOR LOCK FOR CHRIST-SAKE!" Well, I had no choice but to let this guy drill my door since he was an incompetent locksmith, but I refused to pay him what he asked, so he settled for less. The woman working both days I needed help was very friendly and helpful! She saved me a bunch of money from having to go to the dealership to get a new key cut for my 2019 Toyota. Granted, I had done a lot of the heavy lifting by getting the key programmed and put together but the final step was to get the old key cut on a new key fob and everywhere told me this wasn't something they did and I was starting to feel hopeless. After a quick call they told me to come by and if they couldn't do it there they could send a technician to me (which would cost extra but still reasonable).
