Unfortunately for me, this discovery of mine occurred on the evening of July 3rd, so it took me a while to get someone out to take care of it, but Prodigy came as quick as they could. When the mouse got loose in the house, he coached us through how to catch it live on the phone, and came by the next day to check on us. The guy who seems as far as I can tell to be the only employee, said he wasn't sure he was allowed to discuss that with me and had to have his manager call me. It was a huge red flag because all pest control people who are licensed should know that they are required by law to not only tell you what chemicals they use, but show you the labels of their chemicals as well as their license number before providing a service. I told him there was no way I was going to let him spray in my house.

We found a few termites in our house and had Shur Kill do the treatment as they have been highly…read morerecommended by others. Not sure why those rave reviews are not making it onto Yelp. Greg the owner has always been nothing but pleasant, and gave us a couple different options. We took the more environmentally friendly route, did a treatment around the localized area of sighting and then placed bait traps all around the perimeter of house. Every three months he would come out and check the traps for any sign of termites. In March every year he would offer a free home inspection as part of the subscription. Never had any termites again after the initial treatment. He never did a hard sell, when I asked if we really needed to continue with traps after three years of them being empty, he did not try to sell me on continuing the service but left it up to us as to whether we wanted this insurance policy. He even seem to be leaning towards getting rid of them though not quite saying so. All in all, a pleasant experience. I will say that our neighbors had ant treatment done by them, and had to have Greg come out a second time as the first treatment was not completely effective. But that was a year when our neighborhood was completely inundated with hoards of ants.

We're selling now and need a current WDI Certification and the guy argued with me for 10 minutes about whether Shurkill did the original job (I have the receipt) and then told me if they didn't do the job in '98 he wouldn't come out for a new WDI certification. ???? Dude - just do your job! Either there are termites present now or not, right? SOMEONE did a treatment after your inspection in '98 - there are holes drilled all over the concrete floors and foundation with corks in them! When I asked what it matters who did the original treatment he says to me, "For all I know, someone could have poured water instead of insecticide down those holes." HUH? After hanging up and finding another company on the very next call my guess is either Greg doesn't want to stand behind his own work OR maybe he has intimate knowledge of exterminators using water instead of bug killer. Either way, don't waste your time with this fast-talker. Give your money to someone who WANTS to work.
