We booked this tour because it had a later start and we were driving in from houston the same morning. We were told we would be picked up between 12:55-1PM for the 1PM tour start time. The driver came at 12:49 and was rushing us to come out. We came out at 12:57 within the given window. The bus was packed and we still picked up one more couple to fill every seat. We went to 3 tasting rooms. Some with grapes growing, some not. We really liked 1 of the wineries (Bingham), disliked the first stop (pontotoc) and indifferent to the last stop (Ari's$. Our driver Barry played the piano the whole time we were at Bingham which was cool. Overall it's a solid option at a mid range price for the area. read more

We booked this tour several weeks in advance and got an email less than 24 hours before the tour was scheduled to start that it had been canceled with no explanation. We have tried calling the company several times and have been unable to get a response. Very unreliable and would not recommend booking with this company. read more

First thing I will say, ladies take a sweater! We went in OCT & it's hot in San Antonio but in Fredericksburg it's windy. BUT if you forget one, our lovely tour guide Brian provided some jackets. We got the safari tour and meeting the giraffes was an experience so worth it. The 3 wine facilities we visited were different layouts but all great overall. 5 out 5 stars, highly recommend them! We had a great time on the wine tour! Our very kind tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable along the way. Loved the variety of wines we tasted and the comfort of being driven to the wineries. At the beginning of the ride the whole group was quiet and a bit timid. Toward the end of the tour everyone was friendly with another and having a grand time. Highly recommend! Had a wonderful private wine tour with Mike. Mike is awesome - perfect mix of professional yet fun. He has tons of knowledge of the surrounding area history and wineries. He also shared with us lots of recommendations for restaurants in Fredericksburg. We went to Untamed, Signor & Mendelbaum. Each of these experiences was unique and made for a well rounded afternoon. Everyone knew Mike upon arrival and we were treated like VIP's. My Mom, Sister and I enjoyed the day very much and it is an experience we will always remember. Next time we are in Fredericksburg, I would tour with Mike again. read more

After attempting to call and going to voicemail, I walked to their office and booked a tour same day in person. The woman who helped me was very kind. I was told the van would pick us up at our hotel (owned by the same owner). 30 minutes after pick-up time I called back and no one answered. I tried texting the number which was mentioned by their answering machine, and received a text back that they forgot to add us to the pickup. They did not call or mention rescheduling. It seems like there may be poor communication between their booking, tour coordinator, and driver. I'd recommend finding another tour. read more

Had a great time but no info on the area or wines from our driver. Very disappointed Mendelbaum Cellars was on our tour. All their vineyards and production is grown and made in Israel. It's simply a sales office here in Texas. Nothing to "tour." I would request a tour without that winery next time. read more

We've been on several wine tours, so we chose the Safari Tour for the experience. Bryan, our driver, was awesome - very friendly and kind. We just expected a little more for the price. We went on an extremely hot day. The vehicle should've had a few fans and screens for shade. We had an ounce poor of Prosecco upon boarding. The first stop didn't have any covered areas and 1 bathroom. The giraffes were beautiful, but we were very limited on time. The first winery was lovely. We ordered some boards, but again because of time constraints we weren't able to explore or take pictures in the outdoors scenery. The ride to the 2nd winery was long and hot. The sun was blaring. The male host (from the winery)was rude. This was the Rhino winery. The wine we tasted was somewhat 'vinegary', it may have been due to the heat and we were at the bottom of the bottle, but it wasn't great. There was no food. The tour said snacks were provided, but we never got any. I think that this type of tour certainly has the potential to be great, but for $200 per person, wine should be offered between stops (especially on the longer drives) and snacks should definitely be provided (especially when the wineries we visit don't offer food). There should be speakers and cooling options to make the whole experience enjoyable. I gave them three stars because the giraffes were majestic, but for this to be worth the price it needs some work. read more

We went on a Thursday so it wasn't really too busy so we got the driver, Barry's, full attention and he was fantastic. We are new at wine tasting and it was our first time in Fredericksburg but he made us feel comfortable and welcome every step of the way. Update: Finally heard back and was told they would give 50% refund. We were happy to get any back...stupid Covid! First, Barry was AWESOME!! We had such a great time and he did an excellent job giving us info on the town, restaurants, etc. However, we had one person in our group have to cancel due to COVID and were told we could get a refund for her tour. Was told I would get an email with refund details. I have called each day for 4 days straight, emailed and texted and have gotten no responses. Great tour but you better hope you dont have to cancel... I will be happy to amend this review if I ever hear back from company. read more

This was our first ever wine tour and we had a blast. We shared a Mercedes Sprinter van with two other couples and spent the afternoon at three wineries: Hilmy, Bingham and Lost Creek. Our driver, Barry, was both informing as well as solicitous of our needs. All couples made purchases at all three wineries and Barry helped us store all our packages. I can't begin to describe how wonderful the accommodations were from Absolute Charm! The arrival packet was left for our convenience after business hours and the drop off was just as convenient and seamless. Wow! They've got the process perfected! I booked us a wine tour through AC, and a driver picked us up and dropped us back off at our rental's front door! Talk about great service! We were taken to several wineries and stayed a generous amount of time until we were ready and just able to stay on track to visit the ones he recommended. I've been to Fredericksburg several times though never to any of the wonderful wineries we visited this trip, and the atmosphere and experience was impeccable at each. Went with a bunch of girl-friends and had the most wonderful afternoon! This was such a great way to enjoy the Texas hill country and spend time with friends. Barry the driver was personable, fun, and took care of every last detail so we could just enjoy. The tour felt personal and intimate (much nicer than being bussed around with crowds of people). There was good variety in the wineries we visited and I felt like we got to experience a little bit of everything.
