I've seen Japanese, Korean, and Chinese so far in facial care and hair care. And BB creams! What a selection of BB creams! The staff here was very helpful too. They approach and ask every now and then to make sure potential customers aren't lost and confused (might feel awkward if you're just browsing). I bought some sunscreen here and they gave toner/emulsion samples. (I like freebies =D.)

The sales lady approached me and asked me in Chinese if I needed any help but when i told her i didn't understand she spoke to me in English. I told her i didn't need any assistance yet she kept following me around for a bit. This made me uncomfortable and it was easy to tell that I was nervous and awkward, but i know she was following me because I probably came off as some creepy shop lifter or something(I kept browsing and picking up things and I had to check my money in my bag discreetly). That's one thing, you have to know what you want to buy before entering so they can take you seriously, this goes for a lot of cosmetic stores in flushing. They have a large selection of eyeliners, bb creams, skin care products, eyelashes, powders, face masks, skin care etc. What drew me into the store was the bb creams. In the glass window display at the left side of the store, you could see all the brands of bb creams like skin79, lioele, missha etc.. They sell the REAL Skin79 hot pink triple functions bb cream for $30, which is cheaper than fashion city's price, but it definitely be cheaper to buy online. They also have many powders and compacts, I saw that they had some lioele compacts, blushes and bronzers and other asian brands as well. They have so much eyeliner! There was a whole wall/rack of it in the back right hand corner. I bought the MSH eyescream gel liner which was $20.00.I asked her if they had gel eyeliner and she recommended this one stating that she had even used it on her eyes that day. They even had Dolly wink products : eyeliners,eye-shadow palettes, eyelashes + lashes case. The Dolly wink eyeliner was $18-22 dollars which is cheaper than Belle's Beauty lab in the Queen crossings mall next to mango(which sold for $25). It's a great store with a large variety of Asian cosmetics :)

The staff is incredibly helpful and I always end up finding exactly what I'm looking for or am recommended a 2nd option if not. I can't complain about prices as beauty store to beauty store you'll find that certain items are priced differently. The only thing I'd complain about is parking. Depending on the time you go, you'll have to deal with parking blocks away since all spots are occupied by Long Island Rail Road riders that park their cars near-by for the day. I'd suggest weekends if possible. ;)

The first thing that came to mind was, "When did Aden get here?" The second thought was, "I wonder if this will save me a trip to Jamaica Avenue?" As I pondered these things I noticed one very important detail. The owner did not greet me. I have potential customer written all over me yet there was no greeting. As I perused the aisles I took pictures and made a mental note of what Aden carries. Although Welcome Aden Beauty Supply and I pray that you do well!

I live in the neighborhood, and have previously had to travel to Jamaica Avenue or another Beauty…read moresupply two bus rides away. I was ecstatic when Aden began opening up. I was even allowed in to shop before the shelves were stocked. Moreover, I noticed that the staff did not know prices because they were not labeled. I was not greeted but followed (stalked) by the floor worker with every turn. I did my best at being courteous and engaging her in conversation when I could to assure her that I am no threat and will be a regular shopper. I forgave the price issue and even excused the "hurry up and buy vibe." However, that is a pet peeve of mines because I despise liars and thieves, so to be treated as a potential one really gets under my skin. However, I still purchased several packs of braiding hair because I was in need. I used my debit card and was charged a surcharge! Also the hair was not that reasonable. Fast forward to a month later; I went in again yesterday to purchase more hair (with cash and because the store is close to home). The cashier was very friendly but the young lady working on the floor who stalked me last time was in full effect. I even turned to bump right into her because she was all over me. Also, the isles still aren't stocked fully and the prices are high. Therefore, my question to any hard working woman who purchases beauty supplies on a regular basis is: would you shop at a place that has a limited supply, high-end-average prices and are followed around but not assisted? I will not be visiting Aden again. I will make the trip to the other two stores that I frequent, with better prices, selection and customer service. I hate when people of color come into a neighborhood with people of color and act like fools. BTW that location has had several stores there over the past couple of years, it isn't a lucky location. They better step up there game if they want to last. Shame on YOU!!!
