There is a large bar top with very nice barstools, a dinner style seating area, a small stage for performances, an area that can either be a dance floor or anything else, and a wonderful back area as a private lounge. The private lounge has privacy glass. It can be a VIP area, or a cigar lounge, or another venue space. There are restrooms for men and women. I was impressed with The Pocket layout. It is accessible from a wonderfully historic staircase from the Tailor's Union upstairs. I loved that at the beginning of the staircase coming down, there is an original fireplace in the brick wall of the stairwell, super original and very nostalgic to the space. Overall, I recommend this space for venues. I hope that they are bookable on Peerspace or another venue space site. Great experience.

I thought that was a really dope idea that you have to walk in and then walk behind whatever you think it's supposed to be there to find the actual bar. When you come in the building is kind of dark. But when you walk back to the bar, it's super white and lit. It looks beautiful! We talked to the owner for a little bit, he was super nice and super friendly. My drink was good. Customer service was pretty good as well. We got there too late to where there was no food, but that's not why we were coming. This is a nice little hidden gem. That's the way the owner described it! I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was really looking forward to this visit since I haven't been here in years, but unfortunately,…read morethe experience fell short in several areas. I ordered the shrimp tossed in chili teriyaki sauce, as listed on the menu. The shrimp were fried extremely hard and arrived cold. Instead of being properly tossed in sauce, there was only a minimal drizzle on a few pieces, which made the dish feel incomplete and not as described. The catfish nuggets and fries were just okay--again, both arrived cold, which seems to be a consistent issue with food temperature. The bar experience was also disappointing. The green tea shots were not made correctly, and the "double" shot of Jack Daniels was poured more like a single. In addition, the menu did not include any drink options or pricing. While the waiter mentioned they have a full bar, having a drink menu (even a basic one) would make ordering much easier and more enjoyable, especially for guests looking to try something new. Service-wise, the waiter was clearly overwhelmed and not very available, but when she did come to the table, she was very kind and pleasant. No complaints about her attitude--just a staffing or management issue. Overall, there's definitely potential here, but improvements are needed in food temperature, menu accuracy, and bar consistency to elevate the experience.

The music, décor, and overall vibe create the perfect brunch experience. Every detail feels intentional. Now let's talk about the food... As a chef, I appreciate when dishes are more than just visually appealing. ESCO delivered chef-curated recipes with thoughtful layering of flavors. Lamb Chops - Perfectly cooked with a beautifully seasoned crust and incredible tenderness. Every bite was balanced and flavorful. Smothered Potatoes with Grilled Onions & Scrambled Eggs - These weren't your average breakfast potatoes. The grilled onions added a subtle sweetness and depth that elevated the entire dish. Even the scrambled eggs were seasoned--not just cooked--which tells me the kitchen pays attention to every component on the plate. Red Velvet Waffle & Fried Chicken Wings - This was the star. The waffle was rich, incredibly moist, and topped with a luscious cream cheese drizzle that complemented the red velvet instead of overpowering it. Paired with crispy, perfectly seasoned fried wings, it was sweet, savory, and absolutely unforgettable. Pineapple Mimosa - Bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Sangria - Fruit-forward, refreshing, and dangerously smooth. One of the better sangrias I've had in Memphis. A special shoutout to Alex, our server. His hospitality, menu knowledge, timing, and personality made an already amazing experience even better. Service like that deserves recognition.
