This company (not the downtown location ! ) is a joke to work for. They lie, tell you what you want to hear to obtain you as an employee then you find out there is no pay structure , they promise to pay for gas then take that away too. Their is no payroll stability or pay structure your payed when they feel like it usually "around" (haha) the 1st and 15th of each month (still no pay going on week 3 past the first of December) The workers are not respected or shown proper respect. Again I'm NOT referring to the downtown location. My family has suffered because of this companies lies and broken promises if your looking for work don't come here. If you have a chasing background, you definitely won't like the shit this company pulls. Good luck obtaining scanners and radios.. that's on you apparently. This company may put on a good front but if you knew the chaos behind office doors you'd run. Sure they provide great service and charge you up the bit for service yes it's reliable but from an employee stand point it's a farce and I'd run run run to another company ! Not to mention the woman in the office who knows nothing about towing or chasing and sends threatening emails and warnings about speeding when a simple pass was necessary...Hello lady if I'm passing someone , the speed goes up, if I'm On my way to a wreck the speed goes up. Pay attention to times and learn to do your job properly and enough of the power tripping it gets you nowhere with grown men who live for the chase and love this game which your clearly ignorant too . Thanks for the unnecessary headaches the missed pay, lies and unnecessary stress.. don't FORGET TO Request a driver with more than a month experience they hire anybody and throws them into the lions den with little training hence all the damages and unnecessary deaths these brave tow truck drivers have suffered due to lack of training or self negligence because they knew no better. I've been wanting to write a review for quite some time about service I received a little over a year ago. February 2017 I was in a car accident - my first accident ever, also with a newly financed Mazda 3 and in a new province, having only moved from the east coast a month prior. The accident was in the middle of a large winter storm. The police called a towing company, which happened to be Abrams. The driver was Winston. Winston needs a serious raise. I knew nothing about accident protocol in the city, but Winston drove me to the collision center. On the way, my phone was dead and I wanted to call my family. I was crying and very distraught. Winston drove me to a place and offered to cover the cost of my charging cable. I got my charging cable and he took me to the collision center. I asked him for a recommendation on a shop because I am new. He told me that he knows a few shops, but for me to make my decision after being in the collision center. The collision center was adamant I call insurance, etc. but instead I went with winston. Winston waited and drove me to the autobody shop - which also was amazing and very helpful!!. Winston chatted the whole way, lifting my spirits and being extremely helpful. When we arrived to the autobody shop it was very late. I did not know where I was and did not know how to find transit, where to go, etc. Winston had FINISHED his shift, but still, knowing it was late, and I had no idea where I was drove me with the tow truck to the end of my street, which was about a 30minute drive from the shop and in the OPPOSITE direction of where he needed to go. THE BEST SERVICE I have ever had. Had I been with someone who was crabby, and unhelpful, I can not imagine how this already horrifying experience would have become. Winston was a guardian angel for me. A man with a beautiful soul who goes above and beyond. A friend of mine had an accident a few months ago, and I told him "call Abrams" I'll never use another company! read more

My car would not start so I had to have it towed to the service shop. Since I had a tight schedule of customer meetings that day and the next, I could not wait for a tow truck to come. I called Abrams and asked if I could book a tow for the next day and be assured that my car would be picked up at 9:00 AM since I had a very tight schedule. Abrams representative emphatically told me that they would be on time since they have a "huge fleet" and very professional drivers. The following day a tow truck did not turn up at 9:00. I called Abrams and the representative told me that the driver had some trouble with the previous tow, no other driver was available and the driver would probably get there at 1about 10:00. When I explained that I could not wait until 10:00 the representative told me that I could book another time. Since I had already experienced that booking a time would not assure me that I would be towed at that time, I declined and decided to try another towing company. read more

0/5 star. (PLEASE READ! As of Feb 2019) Driver (Marvin) was rude and impatient. He was disrespectful to the employers at the auto shop upon arrival. He seemed irritated and wanted to leave immediately to his next appointment. Had no consideration for my time. When trying to start my car, he broke my key and didn't apologize. As well, I was given the wrong price quote. When I called, I was told the service would cost 75$ for hooking up a 4wd vehicle + 3.90$/km (so around 104$ with HST). However Marvin charged me twice the amount (85$) claiming that I was given the wrong price quote for towing a 4wd vehicle, and the final price came to 204$ + HST! Overall very happy with how my recent tow went. It was a wet and rainy night when my alternator went on the highway, I managed to get off to a gas station. At first I was told the wait would be 1 hour 40 mins - I later received another call saying that the wait time was shorter and would now be 40 mins and shortly after that heard from the driver saying he would be 15-20 mins (again, sooner that originally expected). It was great that I was updated as the wait time got better, as it allowed me to stay inside the gas station and stay warm. Aziz (driver) was very friendly and helpful! He was able to get me laughing off a bad situation which really helped. Overall A++ driver who was able to get me hooked up and home in the normal expected time. read more

I left a light on all weekend and my car battery died. Due to work and other non-negotiable obligations, it was midnight by the time I was home and able to call for a jumpstart. As an absent-minded person I've had my fair share of other roadside assistance experiences and was expecting a two hour wait or so for the truck to come, but they arrived within only 30 minutes and I was in bed by 1:30. They charged me $70 for the jumpstart, which is a bit on the high end in my experience, but I'd happily pay that again given how prompt, efficient, and (relatively) hassle free the experience was, especially for a late night call. Well, I phone their toll free number to make an appointment to tow my car. On the appointment date, i waited for 15 minutes past the meeting time, then called the company, I was told, they will come in 20 minutes. After 35 minutes, phoned again, I was told the driver is on its way. Finally, I got pissed. I phoned again as it was freezing cold that day. Now, I was told he is just around the corner. Waited for another f******35 minutes. I phoned again. I was told they got caught in traffic. I told them to fcuk off and cancel my appointment. On their site, they mention 20 minutes fast service. My ass ! ZERO STAR for service and LIES. That's what happen when the company is too big. read more

I left the lights on in my car and the battery needed a boost. When I called Canadian Tire Roadside assistance, I was told that it was a busy night for tow trucks and the wait could be 2 hours. But the dispatcher told me that if JP towing could re-route one of their trucks to help me sooner, they would. They did! JP Towing arrived with 45 minutes of my call. My car battery was boosted with a powerful battery pack by a friendly guy who took the time to answer my questions and gave me helpful advice. Tow truck driver Max was awesome. I drive a big truck that broke down. It wasn't a simple pick up. Max first had to re-charge the air tanks, then pull the truck out from under the trailer, then re-hook up to the rear of the truck for towing. He then dropped me at my car at our Mississauga yard before dropping the truck at our shop in Guelph. When we arrived at the Mississauga yard, he asked me where everyone was. I told him I was the last driver of the night. He then waited out on the street until I left in my car to make sure I wasn't stranded before he continued with the rest of the tow. My vehicle had a total electrical systems failure, parked in my condo's parking garage which was undergoing construction. I thought it would have been stuck underground for weeks because of the low clearance and the sharp corners; how could a tow truck possibly manoeuvre it out? I was so impressed with the friendliness and determination of the driver, Ali. Ali hooked it up to his truck and with the precision of a neurosurgeon was able to tow the vehicle through hairpin corners and up the ramp to the street. I got into car accident in Hamilton Mountain. My car was towed to Abrams Ancaster on a Saturday. I called to check if the car is on the lot yet so I could come get my stuff and have it towed to a shop. The two the agents picking up the phone were so rude. On Saturday, the first agent told me to call back on Sunday to check, then hung up. On Sunday, I called. Another agent told me to call back on Monday and then hung up. I did not have chance to ask anything else in both calls. But they charge $60 storage per day based on the police website. I just need some answers, that's all. read more

Saeid driver #903 was amazing. So skilled and knowledgeable and not only got my van out of a difficult spot in my underground Garage but then skillfully got it through the bar that comes down at the top of my garage without it hitting my van. He knew to wait even though I tried to keep the bar up with my fob but it came down anyways and fortunately he was prepared and stopped so the bar came down between my van and his truck. We were in Barrie last Sept. Car quit in IKEA outlet parking lot. Wouldn't start. When I called the dispatch the lady said it would take about two hours because I was stuck in downtown Toronto. I told her I have no choice but to wait. I am so glad I did ! Waited like 30-45min but was worth it. Abrams Driver (Asian guy, forgot the name) was one of the best professional haulers I ever had experience with. Car is Corvette Z06 low rider so extremely lowered and I pop 1 tire. They guy had all extra ramps so he could SAFELY put my car onto his flatbed and NOT scrape the undercarriage or bumpers.
