Went for a birthday party which was super cute. You can bring in your own food and drinks. They…read moremake a painting. They sign a huge birthday card and get goodie bags. They also get to pick their smock color. Small space so not much seating but its designed for drop and go.

Review is for the summer camp experience…read more The classes are advertised like the children will make pottery and learn how to paint scenes or animals (similar to bigger paint studies that do the step by step instructions). However, they didn't do that. Instead they used clay to make something, that was never in a kiln so it comes home wet and soft. In regards to the painting, most of the paintings had glitter or wet paint. Leaving tons of glitter in my car and in my house. The paint getting on my clothes as I try to help my child collect all her artwork for the day (did ruin my shirt). Also, my child was sent home with what looked like blue "glob" that immediately made anyone's hands turn blue when they touched it. Also, my child left there everyday with paint on herself. They need to incorporate a cleanup before pickup to remedy this and put all items away. We would immediately go home and have my child wash up. As a full-time working Mom whose children have been in daycares, Kidcreate Studio would benefit from incorporating some of the day to day of daycare (cubbies for children's items (lunchboxes/water bottles for easy grab and pick-up/drop off), 15 min at the end of each day for cleanup and washing up, anything not fully dried stays over night and can be picked up later, etc.) Therefore, I find this summer camp overpriced for what you receive and will not be returning or recommending to friends and family.

This place just opened and is currently my all time favorite art gallery in Virginia. They have…read morereally limited hours and never seem to be open which is frustrating and has caused us to miss some exhibits. They have classes and a lot going on. The art is fantastic. My wife is an artist and knows what she's looking at. She has been raving about the exhibits this summer (2009) and has been inspired to new levels in her own work by what she has seen there. There was a show there this summer that was probably some of the best art I've ever seen in Northern Virginia. We went to two concerts and enjoyed both. One was a classical quartet and the other was a concert and an art talk combined. I hope they stay in business and will expand their hours. Oh ... check out the website. But, I've learned to always call because there are usually extra things happening that week which aren't on their website.

This is a great little gallery and studio, featuring shows by local artists. Minimalist,…read morestreamlined space in order to showcase the art better. Classes are also offered in the adjoining studios. Pops is currently showing here along with his fellow artists from Building 10 at the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center, so husband, Moms and I went to the wine and cheese reception they held to kick off the show. Curators and employees are friendly and knowledgeable, and the caliber of artist is exceptional (no bias here, really). All the pieces on show are for sale, and the gallery also has a little gift area selling smaller pieces like stationery, jewelry, and pottery. Husband and I picked up a miniature ceramic vase for a steal. ArtSpace is a bit isolated and remotely located near "Old Town" Herndon, but it's worth seeking out.

My friends and I wanted to do something fun to celebrate a birthday and kick off the holiday…read moreseason. Painting and drinks sounded amazing! We chose the day, time, and paid on their website. We showed up 30 minutes before everything starts. Our table, easels and paints all set up. We grab an apron, a drink and wait for the festivities to begin. The instructor and staff were so warm and welcoming. They have a great variety of libations, small bites and great atmosphere. The playlist was perfect and we had the best time. They went around during and afterwards taking photos of our progress. The staff was amazing and we are looking forward to coming back.

We arrived 30 minutes before class was scheduled to start and were immediately greeted and shown our seats, where we can pick up our aprons, where we can hang our jackets, and the bar area. Note that patrons have the option to order directly from the bar or from their seat; there is a QR code on everyone's easel that directs patrons to the menu to order. I thought the class was run pretty well having only been open for a day or so. I appreciated not having to be conservative with the paint; palettes were refilled by a staff member there as needed. I know my brother really enjoyed the activity too. The instructor Matt is very talented and did a good job explaining techniques and engaging with the painters during the demo.
