Ugh, I feel like I spent a lot of time at this place and never really got many answers. So, back in…read moreFebrurary, I started to break out into these hives all over my arms and legs. I had no clue what was going on but I kept getting them every morning. I wanted to get answers because they were obviously irritating and uncomfortable. Basically, I set up an appointment after a week of hives and was told by the Doctor that I had chronic hives. I wanted to know what was causing them and he said the only way to find out was to avoid eating foods high in histamines. I stayed away from high histamine foods for two weeks and continued to break out on schedule. I went back and continued to ask why I was getting hives. He said he did not know but that I could do a $500 allergy test to determine what I was allergic to, possibly calling the hives. I told the doctor based on my prior knowledge that I've done this test before when I was younger and I'm allergic to: Dogs (shedding) and Cats, dust mites, mold, and amoxicillin. He pressured me into doing it anyway and I would have to wait another week. So after a week of waiting I went back in on a Saturday morning. The test took about five minutes and the results came back very fast. Guess what guys?? It turns out, I was allergic to: Dogs (shedding) and Cats, dust mites, mold. GROUND BREAKING!!! So, I said, "Yeah, I knew this already. So what is causing my hives to appear every morning at 7:30 and to last thirty minutes?" He said, "I don't know, we might never know." Me: ..... I ended up having to pay $500 for results I already knew and to this day I still have hives, but not as daily anymore, but I still do not know what is causing them. I feel like I spent a lot of money here and really got no answers. So, I would not recommend coming to this facility. The doctor did not have the best bedside manner, rushed through appointments, seemed rather indifferent most of the time and lacked any empathy of helping me find answers to my medical problems.

Five stars isn't enough to recommend Dr Lee Mandel and his team at Florida Sinus & Snoring Center…read more While there are many ENT's to choose from, finding a specialist in sinus conditions was critical for me, as I suffer from chronic sinusitis. This year my sinus condition was particularly bad so I looked around for ENT doctors near me. Nothing seemed to work, so I went "out of network" to Dr. Mandel's office in Plantation, which had been recommended to me. And I'm very glad that I did! Dr. Mandel is highly skilled, compassionate person and offers individual treatment plans to suit his patient's needs. His staff is exceptional, professional and friendly (in-take, reception, PAs and managers - all). The office is well run and they are responsive your your questions and calls. I can say it was well-worth the expense and the drive to receive care from Dr. Mandel and his team. I recommend Florida Sinus and Snoring Center without reservation! AD Ford

Upon meeting Dr. Hernandez we knew right away that she was the right doctor for us. Her patience, understanding, and loving nature made us feel completely comfortable. She shared personal stories about her own children and their allergies. She was kind and took the time to get to know us and really listened to our thoughts and our concerns. The office is clean and cutely decorated with Minions throughout the office. Dr. Hernandez is so personable, she takes the time and talks through every detail with you. Her honesty and outlook on treatments made us know that we were making the right decisions for our little guy. Her office staff and nurses are always so kind and patient. Especially when working with an upset toddler. They take their time and it is so appreciated. We've been to see Dr. Hernandez three times now, and although our visits aren't always pleasant due to testing, we're happy with the track we're on and happy to have Dr. Hernandez and her staff to guide us through. I highly recommend Dr. Hernandez and her staff.

This is the most unprofessional office I have ever been to. The front desk people are continuously…read morerude. They are always overcrowded, and many times has inefficient staff to handle the injections. Some of the shot givers are new and seem to be practicing. (not the issue today) I came to this office in Pines, and I am a patient of many years- this office did not call in my new Insurance which also included a second insurance from the Va (but this office admitted that they have had the insurance since August 1 or 2 and failed to call in and verify. As a result, my vials were on hold. The staff let me drive an hour to get there and sit another hour prior to telling me and everyone else in the waiting room that my vials are on hold as their office failed to call in my insurance. The girl in broken English told me to call Miami and argue with them; what a joke! the girl went onto say she did not even work there. Really? She went onto say that " NO ONE IS IN CHARGE AND THERE IS NO MANAGER" BUT THEY ARE GIVING INJECTIONS. What a cluster! I watched as the staff just walked by with their heads down did nothing but recognized me as I have been going there for many years. I am fond of my doctor there and that is the only reason that I have allowed this nonsense to continue; there are many issues happening that are not being corrected. I must question if you cannot speak clear and concise English, can you properly read the dosage that patients are supposed to be receiving? If no one is a manager and no one in charge, who is ensuring that the patients are getting the dosages and proper care? How can you run an office like this? I am sure the medical board would like to hear all about this. I have bit my tongue thru the years as many questionable things have happened in front of my face and directly to me- everyone draws the line at some point. Do your jobs- call in the insurance-stop with the humiliation of screaming others business all over the waiting room to others- learn the HIPPA rules before you get shut down. How dare you speak to me in the manner in which you did on Saturday. I only come here to this office for shots as no one else offers them on Saturday. SHAME ON YOU for treating a client of many years like this. Sure hope I don't get sick before you do your job and verify my insurance, I think you would be at fault. I will leave you with that.

Summary: The Allergy…read moreand Asthma Center of Florida is plagued by unprofessional staff, poor communication, and ineffective treatments--despite prescribing me Albuterol and Trelegy, they refused to refill them after four months without another visit, clearly prioritizing my $75 copay over my health; do not trust them. A year's worth of experience with this office: I'd like to preface this review by saying that I am not a frequent patient, nor do I visit doctors unless absolutely necessary, and medication is always my last resort. I first visited the Allergy and Asthma Center of Florida in January 2024 and my experience was poor from the very start. Finding the office was unnecessarily complicated--while they listed the address, no instructions were provided on how to access the building. After wandering and calling multiple numbers, I eventually found my way. This early example of their lack of communication set the tone for my entire experience. The male nurse who attended to me was unprofessional and inappropriate. His demeanor was rude, and during the exam, he positioned me in an uncomfortable manner, sat me between his legs, and made a crude gesture when I mentioned having an IUD, adding a condescending comment. It was shocking. He also gave unclear directions for a breathing test, blamed me for doing it wrong, and was overall difficult to work with. Thankfully, I was later attended to by an older nurse who had excellent bedside manner and gave clear instructions, which was a relief. I was prescribed an inhaler but received no breathing treatments or EpiPen, leaving me with little help for my symptoms. When I returned in August of 2024, the experience was no better. I was met with the same unprofessional front desk staff, who repeatedly sent text messages cancelling and rescheduling my appointment without proper communication. I had to confirm my own appointment by calling, only to be met with a dismissive "yeah, it's fine." The female doctor I saw this time was patient and tried her best to work with my insurance limitations, which I appreciated. After six weeks of treatment, I was scheduled for allergy testing but never received any preparation instructions. No reminders, no written guidelines, nothing. When Hurricane Milton approached and I had to reschedule, I used this as an opportunity to ask how to prepare--only to be given vague responses. I wasn't told how to use the lidocaine cream, where to apply it, or when. When I mentioned not having the necessary Saran Wrap, I was told to "just go to the store." During. A. Hurricane. Ultimately I chose to forego any preparation just "winging it" The test results confirmed everything I had already told them they said my only solution was to go there once a week for shots that may or may not do anything for me. I don't know about you but I don't have a spare weekly hour in my schedule certainly not for a "treatment" that there is no guarantee of success for. I have composed this entire review in March of 2025, while on hold for the last 16 minutes. You see after they denied my prescription refill which helps me manage my symptoms they want me to come in for a follow up every 3 months. What for? My $75 copay is my only logical guess. The woman who called me back a few moments had arguably the worst attitude of everyone I have encountered in nearly a year of this horrific office and when I asked for a doctor to call back she said "well they see 35 patients a day" I clarified "so they're too busy" she stated "they aren't an office that sees 8 people a day, this isn't unusual". And refused to let me leave a message with them. While the doctors themselves are friendly , their treatment plans have proven ineffective. The front desk staff, however, are abysmal--rude, unorganized, and in desperate need of training. This practice needs a serious overhaul in both communication and professionalism. Do not go here, they cannot help you.

Excellent Dr.'s Very clean office with a polite, well-trained staff. Great experience every visit!"read more
