I've been a patient at this practice 3yrs now. Dr. Tabassum Safari is one of the 4 doctors at the Lenora Church road location. The staff from the front desk to the nurses are all friendly, knowledgeable, patient , understanding professionals that are consistent on every visit. If you're uncertain about an appointment or insurance benefits, they will look into it and get you the answers. The office itself is nice and clean. Not very much decor in the lobby like most offices I've visited but it's nice. Several chairs spaced due to Covid precautions. 1 TV that's set on one channel more like an advertisement of Emory services. So a little something to ponder while waiting to be seen by your doctor The lab and exam rooms are typical nothing really special there. Parking lot is quite large .. I'd say at least 50 vehicles maximum including handicap parking. I do apologize for not taking more pics of the exam, lab and lobby areas but I will on the next visit. If you're looking for a Family Doctor, give Emory a try. There are several locations throughout the metropolitan area. Scheduling an appointment is easy and convenient. Most doctors are accepting new patients. One thing I love about Emory Healthcare is that everything is there. If you need a colonoscopy, it can be done there. Every visit, diagnosis, appointment, surgery, etc is in the portal. Your doctor is notified of every lab report and exam although he or she may not have done the procedure like a colonoscopy. It's pretty cool! It's a paper trail of your healthcare...Who wouldn't want that!

A doctor who is passionate, cares about her patients and on time. So we made an appointment and as a new patient there was a 2 month waiting list, which was fine no rush and this office is supposed to be exceptional so why not wait! As we arrived we were greeted by a not so friendly receptionist who was quite rude, we were asked multiple times who referred us and were proud to tell them we found this office online and chose it due to the overwhelming flow of great reviews. Well as Dr.Sharma came in to introduce herself she went on to ask the golden question of the office, who referred you? We told her we found the office online and she then explains well I work primarily with the elderly as an advocate for their health and I will do my best to work with you but you are young and healthy. I don't understand, why you would say that to a patient and why do you not understand we waited TWO MONTHS to see you and your telling us you might not be able to see him as a patient but you will try? Are you serious? Maybe you should have addressed this with the office to not schedule you a new patient that is younger than you prefer to see.. On top of this his appointment was very short and accomplished almost nothing then we were told he needed to come back for a physical in another 2 months!! No thank you, how is this place even running? What happens if someone is sick, do they need to wait two months too?? I would definitely not recommend this doctors office!

She is the most genuine, knowledgeable and down to Earth physician that you could ever ask God for! I am ABSOLUTELY appalled to read the review(s) which state otherwise. As a wife and mother of 10 children, she has cared for me holistically-mind, body and spirit. When I 1st met her (years ago) I was a struggling single mother in nursing school. I faced homelessness during this time. She waived many of my fees to still provide me with the care that I needed.... what other Dr. do you know who would do that for their patients? Most docs are about that all mighty $$$$. Not Dr. Lightbourne! She is focused on the Person, the Patient and her expertise in medical Practice. One of my best friends in my nursing cohort felt a lump on her breast during her self examination. She was very overwhelmed and distraught. Breast cancer ran in her family. She was uninsured at the time and did not have a PCP, so I immediately thought of MY doctor! I called Dr. Lightbourne and asked her to see my friend- she humbly agreed without hesitation. Today, my friend is Alive, well, an RN, and successful business owner, praise God! Ans still a patient of Dr. Lightbourne's. I am a successful Nurse Executive Manager with my Masters degree in Nursing. We both are very, very appreciative for the Lord bringing Dr. Lightbourne in our paths during our past stuggles in life and for being our care provider. All I can say is "go see for yourself!" She is very well put together, inside and out, head to toe (oh by the way she is very fashionable). She is soft spoken, patient and has excellent bedside manner. I will continue to refer my colleagues, family and friends to her.

Sadly, somehow a corporation took over and the information provided here is seriously incorrect. Also note that the corporation let go all of his prior staff and the overall service has become more difficult. I talked to the old staff at the Tree Lane address a few days before it closed and they all told me that the corporation flew a few geniuses in and over a not very thoughtful pizza lunch told all of his old staff that the office was moving, and they were not going to be moving with him or the practice. Yep, cost gutting capitalists took over and they don't give a you know what about the patients. Happily, Dr. Sharpe still does, and so I still use him as my PCP. The docs ... not so much. West now thinks he's a weight loss guru and Sharpe pays no attention to anything. Ms. Bertram is nice, but their former FNP Mr. Pettay was much better. Ms. Bertram always seems to be distracted and in a hurry - I once came to see her with a very simple/common 'lady issue' and she refused to treat me, even after I told her the reason I came to her was because I couldn't get a GYN appointment for another week. She still refused. It's funny ... as a nurse myself, I'd never worked with a doc/NP in any practice that would refuse to treat something so simple ... and then make me pay for the visit. If it was 15-20 years ago, I'd have nothing but raves for this group. Now it's all bells and whistles, flat screen TVs and free water and patient portals. I'd give it all back for the care I used to get in the tiny office in Snellville.
