Sandia Heights Dental Care showed up and so I trusted my fellow Yelpers and made an appointment. So glad to say everyone was right and this is a great facility! The first thing you should know is this dental office seems pretty busy and they are about a month out on scheduling appointments, so if you are considering going in call them now! The office was clean and professional and all of the staff were friendly and efficient. You can tell by the way they interact with each other that everyone works well together and they are a tight team. I told my technician I have a bit of anxiety and she was understanding and compassionate. She quickly took the edge off with a gentle touch and calming chit chat. She listened to my concerns and explained each step in great detail. The appointment went great and I booked not only my next cleaning for later this year, but also an appointment to discuss Invisalign, because this clinic does it all! I even grabbed a handful of business cards for my dental phobic friends. I highly recommend going here whether you are just looking for a new dentist or have some anxiety like myself.

For instance, I broke a bottom, pre-molar by eating a semi-frozen chocolate candy (not the first time; I'm a slow learner). They got me in the next day and I had a crown soon after. It fits and looks better than the original tooth and hopefully won't disintegrate the next time I head for the freezer. Sarah, the hygienist, is wonderful and uses an ultra-sonic instrument to do most of the cleaning so scraping is kept to a minimum. She is great! I have not had work done by Dr. Jeff Snyder at this office yet, but he has done work on my teeth previously and is a skilled clinician. What more can you want but two great dentists in one location? I highly recommend this practice at Juan Tabo and Manitoba no matter where you live. They will not suggest work that is not needed and the dentistry you do get will be top-notch.

Unfortunately you always seem to be waiting for a doctor to check the dental technician's work and provide a quick assessment. The waiting time is usually more than expected, which makes your appointment last longer than anticipated. Some of the treatment rooms aren't fully private, as they have a wall that doesn't fully extent to the exterior wall. You can hear the patient next to you, which is dislike. I have switched to another practice since Parkway dropped my insurance provider. I received a notification from my insurance carrier, but not from Parkway. The courtesy of a notification from the practice would have been appreciated.

He was careful and thoughtful as we talked through the situation, looked at the films and came up with a plan of action which includes replacing one crown and closing a large gap next week. He also addressed an infection that may be brewing and showed me how to manage a gum pocket until my next appointment. Just had my second twice-annual appointment this morning and can confirm Dr. Adkins and the rest of the office are spectacular. The office itself is very nice and doesn't have that cold, sterile feeling many dental offices have. The women at the reception area are extremely welcoming and helpful. Dr. Adkins is friendly and efficient. He does not create issues (overtreat) where there are none which has been an issue I've had with dentists in the past since I take more than reasonably good care of my teeth. Monica, the hygienist who has treated me on both visits, is who I've spent the most time with. Like the others, she is remarkably friendly and efficient. But she's also the most thorough hygienist I've ever had work on my teeth and gums. On my first visit after my x-ray, the gums around every single tooth were meticulously examined and today she spent probably 15 minutes on the cleaning (the tooth-scraping part) alone. I left both visits with my teeth feeling smoother than they've felt in years. She's also knowledgeable and makes excellent recommendations. It's really a comfort to have found a dental office that I actually truly like and am not just settling for. Even if there's a wait to get an appointment here due to folks getting back into their post-lockdown routines, it's worth the wait.

We were very happy with each phase of our first day with this company. They set us up with their 1st available appointment that was over a month out, but put us on a call earlier list if there is a cancellation. This was great for us, because as retirees we could be available at a days notice. Both of us got calls to come in earlier than our scheduled appointments. Front desk staff were very efficient at processing Maggie & I as 1st time patients. The dental team makes the 1st appointment 2hrs long to do a very thorough exam. They want your input to get your level of involvement in the dental care process. The equipment they have is top of the industry standard. It gives the patient a good view of dental issues, allowing a more knowledgeable choice by patient & Dentist. We never felt pressured to additional care that wasn't truly required at the present time. We were given a break down priority list of items needed & told they would work with us on payment steps based on the priority list. Even given discounts on how payments can be made.
