I fell at the door face first. The fall was so hard I broke my teeth. I jarred my neck, busted my teeth, I hit my mouth and busted my lips. It was a huge injury. My dentures were broke in 3 places. I rushed to call him. They took me in. I have to thank my wonderful dentist and staff. Sent me out the door looking great. My teeth are fixed now comes the healing. I am in one piece and so very grateful to them. They fixed my teeth they look great. Thank you and not only did they put my dentures back together. He did not charge me. I am grateful beyond belief. He was careful and thoughtful as we talked through the situation, looked at the films and came up with a plan of action which includes replacing one crown and closing a large gap next week. He also addressed an infection that may be brewing and showed me how to manage a gum pocket until my next appointment. Dr. Ollason also has a great team in place and everyone is efficient and very competent.

It's embarrassing enough to admit this on the internet where unlimited hoards of strangers can read it - it was SO MUCH harder to admit it to an actual dentist. Nevertheless, I confessed to Dr. Rose and his team that I was a teensy bit nervous because it had been so long. He correctly interpreted "teensy bit nervous" to mean "on the verge of physically running away", and he and his team all did their best to assure me that there was nothing to fear. They even took time during before my cleaning to ask questions not only about my medical and oral health but also about my childhood and my dog. Getting to know me as a person, not just loser who hasn't gone to the dentist in an unreasonably long time. While no cleaning or dental check-up is particularly enjoyable, this one was the least traumatic that would be possible for someone in my state of nerves and extended oral neglect. They took photos and x-rays, checked my gums, cleaned my teeth, and identified areas that needed attention. I have another appointment scheduled with them for a filling in a few weeks - for which they explained they will prescribe a few Valium so that I can sleep the night before and not try to leave the country on the morning of. They also will set me up with some noise-canceling headphones so that I can listen to music and drown out the drill noise. Honestly, it sounds pretty relaxing, for having a hole bored in your tooth. I'm glad to have found Doctor Rose when I needed a dentist!

The office was clean and professional and all of the staff were friendly and efficient. You can tell by the way they interact with each other that everyone works well together and they are a tight team. I told my technician I have a bit of anxiety and she was understanding and compassionate. She quickly took the edge off with a gentle touch and calming chit chat. She listened to my concerns and explained each step in great detail. The appointment went great and I booked not only my next cleaning for later this year, but also an appointment to discuss Invisalign, because this clinic does it all! We were very happy with each phase of our first day with this company. They set us up with their 1st available appointment that was over a month out, but put us on a call earlier list if there is a cancellation. This was great for us, because as retirees we could be available at a days notice. Both of us got calls to come in earlier than our scheduled appointments. Front desk staff were very efficient at processing Maggie & I as 1st time patients. The dental team makes the 1st appointment 2hrs long to do a very thorough exam. They want your input to get your level of involvement in the dental care process. The equipment they have is top of the industry standard. It gives the patient a good view of dental issues, allowing a more knowledgeable choice by patient & Dentist. We never felt pressured to additional care that wasn't truly required at the present time. We were given a break down priority list of items needed & told they would work with us on payment steps based on the priority list. Even given discounts on how payments can be made. (Yes, I am surprised , I am so young, must be good dental hygiene). When I first went to Albuquerque Gentle Dentistry, Dr Mark Bleak had take over for Dr. Baca. Dr. Baca was master of dentistry in my opinion, and one of the most compassionate medical professionals I have ever been bless to be cared by. I would recommend ABQ Gentle Dentistry to anyone! Everyone there was so kind and so professional. I was having a problem and needed to get in to get some work done before the end of the calendar year for insurance reasons. The schedule was booked but Dr. Lafferty came in early one morning to make sure I would be cared for under my insurance coverage. Kathy gave me the best dental cleaning I've ever had, and was so professional, gentle and non judgmental, especially considering my teeth were really over-the-edge cleaning-wise. Dr. Lafferty did some expert work addressing a receding gumline issue, which had been bothering me for a long time, and eased my worry. Norma S. I had the good fortune of having my previous dentist of over 30 years recommend Dr. Bleak when he retired. As a patient with a long list of issues, I couldn't have found a better dentist as he does everything. He is extremely knowledgeable, cautious, a perfectionist (a good trait for a dentist), and very gentle (a great trait in a dentist). He uses state of the art equipment and has an absolutely fantastic staff (assistants and office). At my first appointment, after having recently switched insurance companies, I made an appointment for a crown and was immediately informed if I waited one more week, my insurance would cover 50% of the cost. It was a great first impression and all my subsequent appointments have been just as pleasant. read more

I started orthodontic care at 7 years old and had just a traumatizing experience with dentists since then. Most recently, I had an appt with a dentist only to find out I was going to need to spend thousands on a crown and get a deep cleaning. I went online and found Gentle dentistry. From the extreme kindness from Harriet and Harley up in the front, to Nate's easy going conversation while cleaning my teeth to Dr.L, who made me feel comfortable while getting me fillings, I have NEVER been to a dentist office where you have so much care from every single person. I went into Gentle Dentistry needing a lot of work, the kind of work dental patients worry about -- deep cleaning and periodontal problems. My worries were for nothing. Best dental office ever!! I was so fortunate to find Dr. Lafferty & his team. From the moment you walk in the door, it's a pleasure. Both hygienist, Kathy & Nate, are fabulous. Gentle, conscientious, & professional. Dr. Lafferty replaced a filling for me. I didn't even feel it when he numbed me up, but he did several little things that made the procedure so much more comfortable. And the tooth! I didn't even realize how poorly done the previous filling was! The next day I realized that food wasn't getting stuck there anymore, it didn't hurt anymore, I could chew confidently! The staff is amazing and laughs at my stupid jokes. That's worth five stars right there. Dr. Lafferty installed my implant and was conscientious about my fear of needles when administering the Cain, aka, Novocain. He was very patient, unlike my fear, and has a soft touch, a good thing when someone has his fingers in my mouth, in a professional sense. The fit of the implant is great, and now I can smile, while showing all of my teeth. Not that I was ashamed of smiling with a missing tooth. Probably because no one could see it unless I open my mouth wide open to show that hole. I'd definitely recommend this to my girlfriend, which I have. read more

Me, my husband and both of our children see Dr. Bleak and out of all the dentists I've seen over my lifetime, Dr. Bleak and his amazing staff are THE BEST! Dr. Bleak is very very gentle and thorough and takes amazing pride in his work. His facility is state of the art and runs so smoothly. I personally have hated going to the dentist, especially after a few really bad experiences. But Dr. Bleak has put me at ease and helped me to develop a trusting, friendly relationship. I posted a review in 2016 when Dr. Bleak was still the only dentist at ABQ Gentle Dentistry, but now I need to give equal kudos to Dr. Lafferty and his kind, efficient, and supportive staff. Almost a year ago, I woke up with a horrific toothache, that resulted in two extractions.
