And…read moreanyone who has suffered thru severe TMJ or other major jaw issue will tell you how painful it can be, and Dr. Traub was always careful to make sure I could manage any immediate pain, and then maintain a level of comfort thru the recovery process. It took months to recover completely and fully, but in the end I healed so well it felt like a 'well-oiled' jaw that worked perfectly without any pain or discomfort -- so I would highly recommend Dr. Traub. I've been putting off getting my wisdom teeth out for about a year now, but I figured now was the time to do it. Upon arriving to my consult, I had scheduled this appointment about 3 weeks out since it's summer & all of us are out of school + it's the perfect time to get them out. When I arrived, Angela, the front desk person, made the check-in process a breeze -- she had me fill out some paperwork & took care of everything else. After checking in, a nurse came & brought me back to take some x-rays to see how far in my wisdom teeth are coming in... to my surprise, I didn't realize the top 2 were also coming, so that was an interesting time for all of us. After x-rays, she brought me back into the room w/ the dentist chair & asked me a few questions regarding my history -- then we waited for Dr. Urquhart to come. Dr. Urquhart really knows his stuff -- from everything on the consent form he has you sign, to explaining the procedure, to thoughtfully answering any questions you may have... he makes you feel comfortable, safe, & that you're in the right hands. He also writes up your prescription during your consult so you can pick up your prescription prior to your wisdom teeth removal appointment. Fast forward about a month & half, I have just gotten my wisdom teeth out today by Dr. Urquhart & the whole process as explained from the consult was the exact same. Everything went by like a breeze -- he provides you w/ extra gauze just in case & was also nice enough to walk you out to the car too. If you're like me & was terrified of wanting to get your wisdom teeth out but are scared of everything that everyone tells you, DON'T BE. I highly recommend Dr. Urquhart -- you definitely won't regret it!

We started going to Dr. Algermissen in the Nineties, on the recommendation of pretty much an entire law firm we knew and respected (most of them are patients here) and we've never regretted it a minute: Dr. Algermissen is the most gentle, kind and professional dentist I've had in almost sixty years. Tammy, well - she made every visit seem more like lunch with an old friend than the grim dental struggles from which I was always so grateful to escape when I was young. And Merilee, Roicelynn and every other staff person make certain that all questions get answered, reminders sent and every visit is like walking into a family member's living room - smiling all the while. Wonderful. Oh, and they've kept my teeth perfect. Yay! Our hygienist friend Tammy has retired (well earned) and now Ms. Taylor has stepped into her shoes - every bit as professional, vital and genial. She was very thorough and more importantly, she explained everything to me as she was going, and let me make my own decisions on what to do with what problems existed. I have a bad tooth, apparently I cracked it at some point and it needed fixing. Upon hearing that I am in school, she offered me the option to replace it with a crown or try a filling first - the cheaper option by far. The choice was much appreciated. They took pictures of my tooth (x-rays, too, but they took actual pictures of the surface) and showed me the problems and how they planned to fix them. That was not only pretty cool, but also very helpful. No mystery here, which is a very good thing when you're flat on your back with your mouth wide open. I went back for the filling and they were lightning fast - I was in and out within 30 minutes. Awesome! The staff there are all very nice. The front desk folks are extremely friendly and helpful, and the dental tech was also lovely. We had a nice conversation while she took my x-rays and got things ready for the dentist. The first room I was in had a huge window and a pretty view of bids eating from a feeder they have outside. The second one had no windows, but vibrant pictures in the ceiling, a nice touch. The offices are comfy and open, lots of wood and doorless rooms. Doesn't leave you with that 'I'm all alone in a tiny office awaiting my fate" kind of feeling you can get at a doctor or dentist. I haven't been more than a few times, but I really like this dentist office, and I will continue to go there when I need a dentist - I bet you would like them, too!
