Five dollars a piece. Got them back right away, nice and sharp. That was great. I also brought in an antique Singer Sewing machine that needed a new cord and a tune up. That was going to be $80 and $5 for the new cord. I didn't ask what the tune up entailed but did think $80 was a little pricey. On the other hand I realize this is not Walmart. There are expenses and overhead for a small business. And many of us want to support these independent shops, right? I was told it would take a week to be done. A week came and I didn't hear so I called. It sounded like the owner forgot all about me and my sewing machine. I thought it was odd because no other customers were there when I was in and it didn't look like he had many items lined up to be fixed, but you never know. So, I was told that he would look at it the next day and if it didn't need any parts it would be done by the end of the day. End of the next business day I came in and he hadn't even started. Again, no one else was in the shop and I didn't see a back log of repairs. I really felt like I was more of a nuisance than a customer so I took my Singer and went home. That makes me sad because when I walked in I thought it was a wonderful place. I wanted it to be a wonderful place and I wanted to be a happy wonderful customer. Oh well.

I spent at least 5 hours on the phone getting the run around between the store and customer service each one pointing the finger at the other with no resolve for me-the customer. The store said they didn't have a record of the gift card purchase so they couldn't help. I'm pretty sure they were just too lazy to look it up. This company had no customer service!! Next time I will go to Sur La Table or Bloomingdale's for kitchen supplies/ equipment.
