Switched the gauges on the fence without notice and told me it was stated in the estimate. I would've gladly spent the extra couple hundred to go with a different company. Ray even had the audacity to complain to collect payment since he was on vacation when his crew finished late. The price? $850. It turned out that the estimate had been made to power wash the whole home, not the deck. I called the estimator expecting to clarify the situation. He decided to tell me that though the contract said the whole dwelling, he meant the deck. Paraphrasing, "I've got overhead, trucks, insurance I got to pay for!" After 15 minutes on the phone with the tension rising, I'll grant you, I was upset at his reaction, and mine, he said he'd cut the price to $700, "Just to get you off my back". He called my wife a few times over the next days. She didn't answer. And he still never completed the job of 2 coats of stain.
