Don came to my property to give me quote for tree cutting service. He gave me the best quote and also cut some 3 small red wood tree for free and hauled tree branches and cut log for me. They set me up between their appointments and got the work done on time. Steven and Don along with one more guy came early as they informed me previously ans did wonderful job. We little misunderstanding which Steven the owner got it resolved ans he and don went beyond to get resolved. I would recommend this business over all other in market. Don't hesitate to reach this guy, they are wonderful and nice local businessman. Here is work they did including taking out some branches that were on my roof. Thank you guys for helping with the work read more

I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience with this tree removal company's owner. I responded to a flyer from the owner for a quote to remove a tree, and although I never met the owner in person, he left a business card at my door and provided an estimate, via text. After obtaining both HOA and city approval, I agreed to hire him and we scheduled a date for the work to be completed. Unfortunately, he showed up one week earlier than the agreed-upon date due to his own scheduling mistake. I have text messages clearly showing the correct date requested. I was not home, and he immediately began demanding a $500 cash payment upfront from my roommate before any work had started. The interaction then became even more concerning when he asked my roommate to put on his shoes and come outside to speak with him. After moving him away from our security cameras, he began asking personal questions, including what my roommates relationship was to me. After being told we are family friends, he left. I found this behavior highly inappropriate and completely unrelated to the job he was hired to perform. I tried to call him twice with no answer. When I provided proof via text messages that he had the date wrong, instead of acknowledging the mistake and rescheduling, he chose to cancel the entire job. Mistakes happen, but professionalism, accountability, and respectful communication are important when working at someone's home. Showing up on the wrong date, demanding cash from someone who wasn't the person who hired you, asking intrusive personal questions, and then canceling the project after being shown evidence of the scheduling error left me with a very negative impression. I guess they aren't "above it all", after all. While I was very taken aback at Stephen Bell's behavior, I was able to find an amazing company to take care of it. read more

Terrible! Destroyed my roof and a bedroom ceiling left a mess in yard. Steven is a great guy! Honest, good pricing and does great work! His number is wrong on Yelp, Please check his website or call/text him at 916-857-4737. https://www.aboveitalltreecaresacramento.com/ He trimmed our 4 palm trees, removed two trees and trimmed our Magnolia. Did an excellent job! Highly recommend. read more

I called Steve in the evening and he returned my call the next morning. He came out that day to give a quote and 2 days later 3 very tall cypress were down. He undercut other quotes by 2k and he and his partner, Shane had the job done in less than his estimated timeline. Very impressed with the work and at a great price. I will be using his services again for tree trimming. read more

Did a great job. Great communication, on time, very fair price. If I had more trees than needed care, would not hesitate to have him back.

I'm overall pleased with the tree care and would use them again. Hard working with competitive pricing and responsive communication. Had 5 trees pruned and all turned out fantastic. I noticed the use of personal safety gear being used which is great. They were always on time and willing to talk about the trees and what to expect. Did not need a loud chipper for this job and just bundled up branches on a trailer nicely to haul away in several trips. read more

We needed the big tree in our front yard trimmed back and some trees & bushes in our backyard. After speaking with them, they were able to come out the very next morning. They were done with everything in about 4 hours! They did such a great job & our yards look wonderful. We highly recommend them. read more

Update: Even after pruning so far back we still had several hundred peaches grow on our tree. Enough for all the neighbors, a few peach pies and over 30 jars of peach jam. Anyone can hack away at a tree but it takes a pro to trim with integrity and still have us retain a wonderful harvest this summer. read more

Wow! We were so impressed! He responded within a few minutes, gave a quote from our photo! (everyone else wanted to come out first to give an estimate) He was available the next morning and super reasonable pricing! He was courteous, completed the job in the time frame he told us, and kicked ass climbing our 4 palm trees. They hadn't been trimmed in 15 years and were making such a mess in our pool! To top it off, he even jumped in the pool to make sure he got all the palms cleaned out! Rockstar!!! This guy knows what he is doing! Highly recommend! read more

Steve showed up and gave me a quote. i called him a couple of days later and told him, i was going with his company. I was at work but they showed up when he said they would and did a great job. They cleaned up everything and my dog was still there. ( was a little worried, she might get out of the yard ) Steve assured me that he would keep an eye out for her. I would recommend this company as they did exactly what they said, showed up and on time. Very courteous and respectful and did a great job. Thanks, Steve! read more

Called to have three tees on property trimmed/shaped. Steve arrived early, and was very professional. Was respectful of not only our property but if our neighbors as well. Would definitely recommend his service. read more

Steven responded on Yelp quickly and courteously. Showed up in a mask without being asked. Made a ton of free recommendations and advice in addition to a no charge consultation visit the very next day after contact with no fuss. When asked, a price was provided (a very fair one at that). Steven is a professional. Thank you Steven! read more

I hired this company 11/29/2023 and Steven came out to cut our very large Oak Tree in Placer County. At this time I was satisfied with the job when it was done. Recently due to the past storm we had the weekend of 2/4/2024 I had the top of the entire Oak Tree come crashing down which created very large trunks of the tree, branches and debris. I called Steven to come out and give me an estimate. Instead he was very different and said he was busy with big dollar jobs and really did not want to help my husband or me knowing it was a very large job for my husband to do who is a heart patient. Spoke bad about our tree which is protected in Placer County you are unable to remove. Quoted a large dollar amount which was ridiculous and even wanted to cut some more off from where the large trunk had fallen. Steven didn't want to help us at all. I am very disappointed with this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Very disappointed. Take your money and run. Very Unprofessional, Unacceptable Business Ethics. Really deserves 0 stars. I have never ever had such a terrible experience with a Company. Patty Cameron read more

Had Steven out to top a tall redwood tree... His price was fair and he got the work done fast... I'd be happy to hire him again.

Was one of the only services to give me a quote without needing to come by and physically see the work (I had provided a picture). They were here the very next morning to complete the work, sooner than they even estimated! The workers were very careful to not harm any of the plants in my vegetable garden that was about a foot away in a tight spot while getting a tree removed. I really couldn't be happier with their work they completed quickly, safely, and with much care for the surrounding landscaping. read more

I went with this company because they gave a good bid (middle of highest and lowest bids I received) and were personable and professional. They showed up on time, confirmed the scope and got to work. They removed one tree and trimmed/thinned two others. They worked about the sprinklers and other plants and didn't damage anything. The yard was completely cleared of the trimmings and looked exactly like it was before they started. The trees look great. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Very prompt and personal. Did a GREAT job. Hope to have them back again! Palm trees, what a pain when finished, So happy! read more

DO NOT USE HIM!!!! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT: Advertises as licensed and told me he is, but is not. He came to cut some branches down, left the whole mountains of branches in my front yard, then tells me he will be back the next day to clean up. The next day, he doesn't show up, I end up calling him to hear him say that he will not be coming back unless I pay him an additional $300 for the cleanup. We talked and said that's not what we agreed upon and he agreed to come the next day to finish cleaning up. He shows up late in the day, cleaned up one branch all the while walking around the neighborhood, then proceeds to URINATE in my front yard, which was literally recorded on my security camera. After urinating, he just gets back in his car and leaves. I call and he says it's not fair to him that I won't pay him. I proceed to ask him for his license number so I can look into him, he tells me he is licensed in Berkeley, I say that's fine just give me that. He refuses to give it to me saying it's expired and then admits he is not currently licensed. I ended up paying another company additional money to clean up after his mess. HE HAS BEEN REPORTED to the Contractors State License Board. Per their website, "It is illegal for an unlicensed person to perform contracting work on any project for which the contract price is $500 or more, including labor and materials." read more

To start with, I'll tell you one thing these guys ARE NOT. These guys are NOT flakey. But you know what IS flakey? Taking several weeks to remember to write a review for a couple of guys who did a great job on your trees in a more than reasonable amount of time, for a price that nobody could beat! Forgetting to write the review like that is flakey! But like I said, these guys are NOT. Steven came by to look at the job shortly after I first reached out to him and others for estimates. In fact, he was my 2nd of 3 total estimates and I really should have called the 3rd guy and told him never mind, because I knew nobody was going to be able to beat Steven's price. And it wasn't like one of those "oh sure, you get what you pay for" kinda things. They did a really great job and cleaned everything up and hauled it away. I'm really glad I found these guys and I know I'll be using them again in the future when I need more tree care. It seems like they really know what they're doing, they work hard and efficiently, and they're very professional. Thanks guys! read more

This guy (Steve Bell, company owner) is great! Responsive, very reasonably priced, does great work, and friendly. I had him out once to do some tree work - and liked it so much had him back to do more - and liked that so much I had him back a third time. Very professional, gets the job done quickly and well, and easy to work with. You will not be disappointed with this company. read more

Did a great job! Came when said for quote and job. I wasn't home but all went smoothly and they cleaned up the mess.

Above It All The Care was just right for the job. Our older-than-us pine tree started leaning dangerously, after the rain and winds in January 2020, and needed to be removed. We received quotes from half-a-dozen tee removal outfits that ranged from the reasonable to the outrageous. Above It All's price blue them all away because he saw the simplicity of the job and matched his price to it. Once he arrived, he was swift, professional, and very careful not to damage my numerous plants below, for which I was especially grateful. He even took special requests, such as leaving me the rounds for a yard project and a portion of the stump for a plant stand. All in all, Above It All The Care was outstanding and earned my highest recommendation. read more

Yay our house is save thanks to "Above It All Tree Care"! Last Friday due the nasty wind we had I posted asking for recommendations for a tree company due to our huge tree about to fall on the front of our house due to wind damage. We already had 3 huge limbs high up break off and fall just as went walked by and entered our house about two weeks prior in another wind storm. Above It All Tree Care was able to come out during the wind storm last Friday within 20 mins while the tree was going crazy and make a plan to cut down and remove the tree the was leaning over the front of our house. Also remove all the roots that have caused havoc throughout our grass, gone under our concrete, and had worked its way towards water sources. They provided excellent customer service from start to finish and we feel relieved knowing that the tree will not come crashing down and injury or kids/us or our house. read more

I have waited several months to post this review hoping things would look better. They were responsive. Good value...no as they brutalized one of our trees in front. It is a street joke and someone even put a Lorax on it. It looks terrible and is basically ruined. They did offer to remove it only after the ruined it for good. Out Japanese maples we're brutally cut as well. I would not recommend them for tree cutting or trimming. read more

Steven did a fantastic job! Very professional, with great customer service. The work was completed quickly with a competitive price. Spoke to Steven over the phone about cutting down two palm trees I could not prune anymore since they were so tall. He gave me a very fair quote. The communication was good and he said he would be there at 8am Monday morning. He arrived on time and ready to work. Steve and his crew were very nice and professional. They observed where the landing of the debris would be and did a good job not hitting my spa or Japanese maple or anything else. It appeared they took pride in there work and I was impressed overall. I will call on them again the next time I need a tree cut down or pruned. Thanks, James~ read more

Would not give a bid until they knew the other bids. Yeah, they asked. Gave a price in the middle, then hounded me for 3 days about how dangerous the branches were while I was collecting the rest of the bids, saying they could do it on Friday. So I caved in, said yes, then they changed it to Monday. Told all the other tree guys I already found someone, thanks anyway. Monday morning they text me and say we changed our minds, we don't want to do the job, however, they will remove the branch stuck in the tree for 500 bucks. I told them forget it, to which I got a rude reply. A week later I still can't get anyone out here. Good luck people. read more
