I recently hired So Be It Handyman Services to handle some repairs in my bathroom, specifically to…read morereface tiles and fill in cracks. First off, I want to acknowledge that the job was completed and the pricing was quite fair, which I appreciated. However, my overall experience was bittersweet due to a few significant issues. The work on the tiles was adequate, but some of the fillings on the tiles could have been smoothed down better to blend seamlessly with the existing tilework. It's slightly noticeable where the plaster was applied, which detracts from the aesthetic I hoped for. My main complaint lies in how the work area was left post-service. There was spray residue all over my bathroom floors and items, and it even reached the floor of my adjacent bedroom. This was quite upsetting. A more careful approach, such as using tarps to cover the floors and removing items from the bathroom before beginning the work, would have greatly improved the situation. In conclusion, while So Be It Handyman Services gets the job done at a fair price, they could significantly improve by paying more attention to the finishing touches and cleanliness of the workspace. If you decide to hire them, I recommend discussing these aspects beforehand to ensure a cleaner and more polished completion.

In August, he was working on my bathroom and didn't put my washer drain hose in the drain pipe, which caused my washer to flood all over the brand new floor he had just installed. The flooding damaged my neighbor's ceiling below me. He came out the evening of the incident to access the situation and said he would make it right by doing the repair. He did start the repair of their ceiling but never finished. It is now October, and neither my neighbor nor I have been able to reach him. Now my neighbor is going to find another contractor to finish the job and bill me for the damages Brett of Bella's Drywall caused! Definitely 0 stars for lack of professionalism and follow thru.

I took off work to help with this. Then it turned out it would take 3 days to complete, which turned in to an inconvenience for us personally. We made it work, but it would've been helpful to know it could be 3 days in advance. The painters were nice and meticulous with the work, but there was a language barrier which made communication difficult. The cost was higher than I originally expected (approx. $2400 and that was with a discount) for a living room with vaulted ceilings and a fireplace. I'm not sure if I would pay that much again, I will probably go with a different company or do the painting myself.

I spoke with the owner, Ray and when I asked about his process for painting cabinets, he sounded knowledgeable so I was all in. I told him I live about an hour and twenty minutes from Chesapeake and asked if that was in his service area, also told him I had plenty work to make the trip make sense. I told I would send him my location and he could decide. He then told me "well I have a job that's up past Newport News" and said he would come to my house Monday (labor day) to look over everything. I was out of town and CHANGED MY PLANS to come back early just to meet him - and he no showed/no called. I sent a text telling him to let me know if he decided that it was too far - that was ignored. I called his office THREE times and my calls went unreturned. I will end as I began...UNPROFESSIONAL. I read the other review regarding the quality of their work, and now I believe that it was nothing but the Lord that saved me from the full experience of their "services". Be Ware.

When they finally do come , They proceed to negatively discuss me and my husband using profanity and also suggesting in their discussion that we rent our home which we don't but why were they discussing that outside on our front porch and inside our house. We were not home during their discussions but we heard what they said about us on the doorbell camera, which they obviously were not wise enough to notice. (I Still have footage of them talking about me and my husband on camera) They painted 2 areas in my house the wrong color and had to redo it, which made them take longer. They smoked cigarettes on my front porch and left the cigarette buds in a empty flower pot on my porch. They were hired by a restoration company to paint my entire house. They did not paint all the rooms they were required to, once I finally talked to the restoration company and told the restoration company what was going on the restoration company came out and saw the poor quality of work and how horrible these painters were. the restoration company then fired them from the project. They left paint in my kitchen sink, on my counter tops and spots on my hard wood floor. They missed corners and entire ceilings. The restoration company that hired had to send someone else back out to my house to finish the job and do it correctly. Beware Do not hire these painters!!!
