The wife and I have been in the process of revenotating outside and inside our home lately. I could be wrong, but I think this common area bathroom is the end of the inside projects. The outside still needs the driveway replaced. I called for a few estimates and settled on The Handyman Stop. I had already had him renovate and paint my outside storage shed, (you can my before, green shed and after, white with blue trim pictures, see it on this site). It was in sad shape. Peter and Pop's, did an outstanding job with that task, so I decided to give him a shot at my bathroom. They did not disappoint us. When he removed the old cabinet, (which he carried away at no extra charge), we found out the underside floor had to have tile laid, for it was Old 80's linoleum, which we expected. Peter went right to work laying the tile I supplied. The next day he returned and completed the job. The new cabinet was damaged on one side and he repaired it so you would never see the damage. After the cabinent was installed, it required a few minor modifications to provide a perfect fit. Peter did a outstanding job taking care of this. The finished product as you can see was perfection. My Wife and I are very satisfied with the instalation. Our 89 house has been updated throughout to come up to the 1920's Era and we are completely satisfied our house update project is finally completed inside. We also had the roof replaced, but that is for another review. Peter's The Handyman Stop business is a small family operated one, but don't let that deter you. I think I have found our Handyman we can trust to do it right the first time and obstacles he may run into dosn't stop his determination to satisfy his customer. He said he is available for all projets, no mater what you need, just give him a call. I highly recommend Peter and Pop's for your projects. We used the Handyman Stop to do a remodel on our guest/ downstairs bathroom. We were very impressed at the final result of installation of of our new luxury bathroom which eliminated a tub/shower insert to a beautiful new walk-in shower, replaced the flooring, vanity, and fixtures. The crew ( Peter & Mike) were extremely professional and gave us good recommendations that made the bathroom look amazing. I get that things don't go as planned sometimes and that we're living through a pandemic. Times are hard. Some things have changed. What shouldn't have changed is the way a business responds to its clients. I scheduled three separate dates for someone from The Handyman Stop to come look at my bathroom for a tile job. Each time, this business did not reach out to me about not being able to show up. The first time was last Wednesday (Feb 10). I chatted through here with the business and set up a date for them to come. They were willing to come early so I wouldn't stay up too late (I work nights) so +1 star for that. They give me a window of 6am-6:30am. 6am rolls around and I'm waiting. 6:30am - still no knock, no text, no yelp message, no email, no phone call. I decide to be patient and wait until 7:30am to call THEM. And a man answers the phone, I ask them if they're still coming and they say no, the woman (I guess who runs the yelp messenger) couldn't fit me into the schedule. Great, right? So we rescheduled for a week after for the same time. Strike one. Second time, I wait same as last week but before I let it get too late I text the man I spoke to and ask if we're still good for today. He says no he's got an emergency water leak to fix and MAYBE some other guy can come out tomorrow at the same time. Strike two. This morning rolls around and I decide to be patient one last time. This is a 5 star rated company after all. I'd really like for them to do my tile. So they gave me the same 6-6:30am time window. I wait until 7:30am this morning again and just went to bed. I woke up and as of 6:53pm there still hasn't been a call or text or any form of communication from this business. Strike three. The Handyman Stop must have been doing pretty well to disregard a potential customer. Hopefully no one else experiences this but this place has definitely lost my business and potentially the business of everyone I share this with. read more

I was extremely pleased with the work Peter did to help me get settled in a new apartment. I loved the fact that he returned my phone calls, listened to what services I needed completed. He then set up an appointment where he visited to actually review the work request and gave me an estimate. Most handymen that I have tried to contact don't even return calls. Peter installed medicine cabinets, redid closet shelves, anchored large TV to wall,, installed curtain rods and hung the drapes, installed several bathroom hooks and commode seat and shower head, and several other items on my list. Peter was the epitome of professionalism! He came by within a day to assess all the repairs and gave us a brief run-down of how he would address it, and a quote shortly after. We were on a short timeline so we moved before he could get started, but he coordinated with our property manager to get access and did an AMAZING job, including painting! There were a lot of cheap fixes done by the flipper who we purchased it from and he corrected all of them ontop of some of the wear-and-tear incurred during our time there. After having multiple people fall through, I found The Handyman Stop and I'm so glad i did. I recently moved to the area and had a lot of work I needed done, some of which needed to be done pretty quickly before I officially moved in. Peter, his wife and employees have been amazing! He fixed and redid flooring and even found a crack in my foundation and repaired it before I got to the house (he managed to pull this all off within about 3 days). I have been here for close to three weeks now and he has done a number of other jobs, including but not limited to: regrouting, window repair, door repair, removing a half wall, repairing skylights, etc. I am so glad I found someone reliable who does such good work! They showed up, removed the old door and found water damage at the bottom from the previous installer putting cardboard under the existing threshold. We had requested 3 different quotes and Peter was the only one who responded - or in a timely manner (within 48 hours) for an estimate. We are getting ready to put our house on the market and needed to get this project going as soon as possible. He was very reasonable so we accepted and scheduled the work. We had a project of removing some wall paper (Hallway, Living room and bathroom), painting inside and outside of the house in different areas. Peter and crew are very hard working as they spent two days - long hours prepping and painting. In the process he discovered a leak from the upstairs toilet coming down into downstairs bathroom. The remodeling of the upstairs bathroom two years ago - that contractor never sealed the toilet correctly, therefore it leaked. Peter is the one who noticed it and had it been anyone else- I don't think they would have seen it (as we didnt) nor would anyone else have been able to repair it as Peter did. He got right on bathroom repair upstairs - replaced the flooring- sealed etc.. Repaired downstairs bathroom ceiling. All very professional work and I know it is fixed right. The bathroom added on much more time than Peter had anticipated but he still worked it in to get it repaired. All of Peter's work is top notch quality. He cares about his work - he is meticulous! He was fun to be around as he worked in our home and I even left the front door unlocked one day for him to come in and start working. I trust him completely. He always let me know when he was coming - if he was running behind - or if he had to reschedule on a different day. We will definitely have him handle any future projects( which we have some forthcoming already). Peter is very versatile in all he can do (one stop shop for everything!) so it is nice to know any project he can do it and reasonable priced.
