Looks like they started a new page cus their old one was getting bad reviews: SCN development, Nelson family Properties, it's all the same and they're horrible. These reviews are not disgruntled tenants - I've lived in rental properties for 10 years now and this is the only place I feel compelled to actively warn people from YEARS LATER. You can leave the place spotless and they will find anything and everything to get as much money as possible from you. Want to challenge that $1200 paint job that was unnecessary, or the $30 light bulb, or the $200 fee to clean the microwave that you already cleaned when you moved out? They'll send collection notice before you can finish reading their poorly written damage deposit return statement. I've said it it other posts, do your research. Go look at the other aliases for this company and check the Oregon public records. These people are crooks, I just wish I had the time and money to take these people to court.

Waking up to these incredible views while having easy access to all of Portland via highway 84 or the Max stop at our doorstep gives you a sense that you're at the center of it all. The location is the perfect mix of urban living while benefiting from the less chaotic pace of a suburban neighborhood. Among my favorite characteristics is the diversity of the neighbors which have all been incredibly warm. This may be that a large percentage of them are dog owners and are naturally outgoing and conscientious. It makes for a great vibe while out on the terrace or spending time in the spa. The staff at Aster tower deserve a resounding accolade. I've experienced nothing short of professionalism from all of them, and they are a welcome sight at the front desk. I've been a huge fan of my apartment layout and the smart design that dots the space. With the recent heat wave Portland was experiencing temperatures of up to 116 degrees. My saving grace is that all our units have air conditioning. This is a rarity in Portland even in new developments. It will certainly come to be an important feature in the coming years. As I post this review I'm rather amiss about Megan's review below. Perhaps this is their first foray into adulthood and they have never come across a lease agreement before but Hassalo is very upfront about the $165 a month parking space. A charge that is comparable to the vast majority of buildings I came across in my search -- if not cheaper. Did they not tour the handicap accessible apartment before signing? Rather bizarre that you accepted a living space only to complain about it in a public forum as if it was forced upon you. Aster Tower is definitely worth your consideration and if you're on the fence I would recommend you take the plunge.

Right away, they were annoyed they were working, and treating people with such disrespect, it got me so upset I wrote this review. The front desk rep was a male, wearing a mask and should not be really dealing with the public if they don't have a modicum of respect for people. Forget wanting to help. We're all had bad days, but come on. Treat people like how you'd want to be treated.

The nice lady I spoke with on the phone had a new one delivered. As I was recovering from major surgery and needed a recliner to sit in. That's when things began to go south. The first day that we used the dish washer, a swarm of small black ants appeared. We called and the lady we had spoken to initially had quit (she was very unhappy with how she had to treat people), the new woman promised to have someone come by to exterminate the ants. No one showed up. We were there with them at their Canyon Road location and never once did someone come to handle the ants. Put neighbors above us also had some strange machine running every single day early in the morning, right above our bedroom. We complained, but nothing was done. We also had to deal with construction being done the entire 2 months that we were there. They'd start at 6am and end at 7pm. The noise was unbearable. They were repainting and repairing the structure apparently. For $525 a week for a one bedroom, these things are ridiculous. There should be no ants, no damaged things. The screen door had a huge hole in it, and my 3 years old cat got out of it and fell off of the balcony! Thank God that he was OK, with no injuries, but this screen should have been fixed before we were moved into the place. Very unhappy with their service. Don't go to them. It's much better to just stomach the cost for a hotel or extended stay hotel.
