This is a follow up to my review of the landscape services after the owner responded (but notably…read moremakes excuses and offers no true apology): Regarding the owner's response, there was never any offering to go back out to address these issues without charge. I had to argue several times over email with their manager just to get them to offer to send the technician back out, and finally they offered to go out begrudgingly after I said I was not paying for services not yielded. So this is dishonest and frankly, disappointing to come from a local business owner, who has never reached out to me personally and has my email... Re the work not done-- These were obvious, overt landscape issues with overgrowing and infiltrative, blackberry bushes, a front bush that was reaching the roof of my porch, and a whole side of my house that had been ignored, as later admitted to by the manager. But this was only after I had to plead and argue with them to come back out for their 'initial clean up.' The owner states they can not do it all, but again, this was a basic minimum-- nothing grand was done at my house (but heaven forbid they ask for their landscapers to do a good job for $250 on a small cottage property that is otherwise good condition ). I guess that doesn't include invasive vines in your yard, overgrown bushes, overgrown fire hazard weeds and bushes along one whole side of the house... so buyer beware. If you look at their other one poor review (out of just a handful for the on site nursery and for On Tap, the restaurant- different businesses essentially), she pretty much echoes what I am saying. So obviously, this is a pattern for them, and I certainly would not trust to refer them to any of my friends or family members locally. A professional business would reach out to the customer, try to make it right, instead of just further accusing the customer. I think it speaks volumes and reflects poorly on business philosophy and customer service experience when a business owner responds this way instead of asking to reach out to the customer for further resolve, or just to apologize and promise to improve services and poor management.

There is local art in the front and bird related items, such as bird baths. Further in are all the bird feeding supplies one could want, from feeders to food, including bulk items. The new owner is enthusiastic and fun to talk to. In wandering through the store I saw an item I had to buy. It was a peanut feeder for jays. When we go on vacation we worry about our two California scrub jays. We feed them peanuts but can't leave the food around unattended because squirrels will eat it. This feeder looks like it will meet our needs, we can hang it on our balcony, out of reach of the squirrels. I need to train the birds now to get their own peanuts from the feeder. They are creatures of habit and this will be something new for them. If in the area, stop by the Raven Tree, you'll be charmed as well.

As two female friends travelling together we would have enjoyed the following additions to make our stay perfect: both beds made up as doubles (we are friends, not partners), a black out curtain in both rooms to prevent the street light outside shining on us all night, a clothes rack or clothes line and another mirror outside of the bathroom. Identifying all of the lines (8 stations) and reconnecting the main lines and the laterals was a daunting task. Fortunately I found Camelot Lanscaping. The owner, Cameron, was prompt in his response to my request for service and committed to repairing my sprinkler system. Despite the cold and rainy conditions, in which I suspect many contractors would not have worked in, Cameron worked efficiently to troubleshoot and repair my system. Changed the location of my setting box and coordinated everything so it turned on automatically at 5:30 am and ran through each zone. They were so nice and knowledgeable. They tried to only charge me $110 and I gave them an extra $100 because I knew they were the best at what they did. These days it's not just the work, it's the experience, the comraderly and future relationship.
