The Secret Garden at Mount Shasta is a charming cottage, delightfully furnished with a well-appointed kitchen and bathroom. The garden certainly lives up to its name, it is simply magical! As two female friends travelling together we would have enjoyed the following additions to make our stay perfect: both beds made up as doubles (we are friends, not partners), a black out curtain in both rooms to prevent the street light outside shining on us all night, a clothes rack or clothes line and another mirror outside of the bathroom. My friend and I needed to get away from the busy Bay Area and decided to trek up to Mt Shasta for a much needed rest. We chose the Dickon's Cottage, part of the Secret Garden vacation rentals, and were absolutely delighted when we arrived. Quaint, cozy and oh so comfortable, we enjoyed our cottage so much we could hardly leave to go sight seeing! (Of course we did tho!). The cottage was fresh and clean, furnished with everything one would need in a vacation rental and pleasantly decorated without being overdone. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it!!
