In search of professional and knowledgable tree removal or tree maintenance of any kind? Able Tree…read moreServices provide this and much more. We had a beautiful Ash tree on our property, which we loved. It provided shade in the summer and shelter for nesting birds and wildlife. For years we had trimmed and pruned it, however, we were seeing signs of age and decay. The tree was very large, its canopy spreading over the roof of our home, as well as, our neighbor's. We had been concerned for years of a large branch breaking under snow load landing on our home or the neighbor's. We called other Tree Services and received quotes, information, and suggestions. Dale Nova, the owner, and Certified Arborist, accessed our tree, and without hesitation suggested it be removed. Though booked out, he considered our tree to be a safety concern, and did his best to schedule its removal as soon as possible. His crew, Nick and Todd, arrived the day scheduled and did an extremely professional job. We had other ornamental trees directly under the Ash, and they took every precaution to not drop limbs or destroy surrounding trees and structures. The entire job was done with safety, precision, and professionalism. Dale followed up a day after the job was completed to be sure we were satisfied with the work. He even took the time to recommend varieties of tree species to replace our Ash. We highly recommend Able Tree Services and thank them for a fine job.

Dale was very prompt in his communications, and also followed-up after the work was done. As it turned out, Dale had already looked after our trees prior to our taking possession of the property. He knew the trees well, and was able to identify a beetle infestation and the need to deep root feed 3 of our trees. Dale was concerned about saving as many trees as possible. He also identified the varieties of trees on our property, as he is a certified Arborist. As we surveyed the trees on the property, Dale explained how they had installed a specialized cable system in our very tall forked pine tree out front by the lake shore. He had his crew check the system out while doing our job, to see if the cable system was still in tact. He wanted to make sure that the tree was able to face the up to 100 mph winds that we get off the lake. Dale's crew arrived on time, and they were very pleasant and professional. They worked all day long, and even cut up the trees into fire wood for us. They also offered to remove some cuttings that we had made while pruning shrubs. Dale was so pleasant and VERY knowledgeable. He also helped us to work with the home owners association to facilitate the tree removal process. His crew were very polite, hard-working and safety-conscious.Thanks again Dale and Able Tree Services! We will definitely use your services again, and encourage residents in Weed and in the Lake Shastina district to call upon ATS!!

I am the current owner of the home where this contractor performed remodel work. The workmanship…read morewas extremely poor -- multiple installations were done incorrectly and below professional standards. The bathtub faucet was installed without proper bracing or support. It has repeatedly loosened and leaked. Even after they returned and claimed to fix it, the problem continued. When the issue was raised, they blamed the homeowners instead of admitting the defective installation. That response was dishonest and unprofessional. A local licensed contractor with over 20 years of experience reviewed the faucet installation and stated he had never seen one installed that way and called it unacceptable. In addition, the flooring was not properly supported. The locking tabs are now breaking and sections of the floor are failing. There were other incomplete and incorrect items as well. Overall, the workmanship was substandard and the handling of the problems was dishonest. I do not recommend this contractor. Update: The contractor has replied by claiming I am not the homeowner and that the photos show damage caused by the occupants. I am the current owner of the property -- the title is in my name. The issues shown (including the improperly braced faucet that has continued to leak and the flooring failures) are workmanship problems with the installation, not damage caused by the occupants. This issues began days to weeks after completion and all the pictures are from his recently completed installations with issues resulting from his poor workmanship.

Never heard from him that week. The following week I followed up via text and he responded saying he could go that very day. I thought great it will be looked at. No one ever showed up, there was no call or text saying they couldn't make it. If you don't want the job just say so, quit wasting people's time. Update: Just after I posted my review I got a call from Double S. They said someone did go out to look at the job on Tuesday, Sept. 1st. Here is a timeline of my contacts with Double S, the initial call and text was in August 26, at that time he said he could check the issue out that week, never heard back from him. I followed up with a text on Sept. 1st, he said they would look at it that day. I immediately let my tenant know someone would be out that day to look at the roof. On Sept. 1st and on Sept. 2nd I never got any communication back from Double S. I checked with my tenant and asked them if anyone had gone to the property, they said no. Therefore, today, Sept. 3rd I posted a one star review. When double S called me to complain about my review they said they hadn't had time to write up an estimate and it's been raining. Ok, I get that but wouldn't it have been reasonable to either call or text me on Sept 1st or Sept. 2nd saying they looked at the job and would follow up with an estimate at some point? Just a lack of poor communication.
