Can't really understand some of these low reviews, they just don't match my experience. I purchased all my landscape tools from Able Saw and have been a customer for almost 18 years. I take my gear in when it's running sluggish or after a full season of heavy use. Engine and gear repair and tune up work has always been excellent. Advice is filled with experience, local knowledge, and has always been helpful. I Won't go to another shop, why would I need to.. By the way the new shop is great. Able saw is a great local resource, and I am more than happy with both their product lines and customer service. Great people in my book. read more

I had barrowed a friend's chainsaw. It had stopped working. So I made the mistake of taking it to the closest chainsaw repair shop near me in the hopes that they would get it working and do any needed general maintenance. They told me that it would take about 4 weeks. I called about a week later to check on their progress. They recommended me that it would still be another 3 weeks. When I asked if I could take it to someone else. Their response was that THEY were the ONLY ones that could do the work. I commented that if that was the way they ran their business and informed them that they weren't. They hung up. read more

Able Saw deceived me and damaged my chain saw. I took my saw in after not in use for a while. I was told it would be ready in 3 weeks. After 3 and a half weeks I called to check the status . They said it was not ready yet. I told them I would pick it up in 3 days fixed or not. The next day they called to inform me the cylinder was broken and could not be repaired. I agreed to pay the $35. Inspection fee and took it somewhere else. The new party said Able saw took the air filter and made up the story about the damaged cylinder. The new party cleaned the carburetor and replaced the air filter. $55.later my chain saw worked perfectly. Shame, shame on you Able Chain Saw. Your bad business practices will catch up with you. They kept my brother-in-laws mower for 5 WEEKS, and told him that he needed 3 new spindles and it would cost $1,000!!! Thankfully my brother-in-law took my advice and picked up his mower. I took the deck off and checked the spindles. NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THEM!!! As a matter of fact, I don't even think they took his deck off. I could tell based on vegetation that would normally have fallen off if the deck was actually taken off and turn over for inspection. Long story short, the spindles were perfectly fine. I took the deck off, checked his spindles, cleaned his deck, and put new blades on for him. The mower works perfectly fine. I would NOT use Able's if they were the LAST place on earth. I could only imagine ALL of the poor unsuspecting people they have CONNED and FLEECED for their hard earned cash. This is NO way to treat your fellow man!!! If you are looking for an honest repair shop, Able's is NOT it... The reputable company ZebraScapes did leave a large metal pry bar on his property. How can my brother in law know that a huge pry bar is lying in his field he is about to mow? Yes, my brother in law did run over the pry bar and he was worried that it might have damaged his mower. Yes, his mower did have lots of build up, but his spindles and bearings were perfectly fine. Sadly, ZebraScapes recommended you. You can spin this all you want, but I know that I would not send anyone to you to have anything repaired by you. This is NOT the only review talking about your shady dealings. His mower is doing just fine because there was nothing wrong with his bearings or spindles. Like I stated, I cleaned his deck, replaced his blades, and inspected his spindles and bearings. I tested his mower and it mowed just fine. I will ask him if he wants to take his mower to another shop to verify if his spindles and bearings are actually bad. If he agrees, then I will post the results here. If they are indeed bad, then I will remove my negative review. But as it currently stands, his mower is fully operational with no vibration or any issues with his spindles or bearings. As far as all the other NEGATIVE REPAIR REVIEWS, there is nothing I can do about that. read more

After stopping in, I won't go anywhere else. The sales staff and mechanics are top notch - extremely knowledgeable and friendly. From the minute I walked in, I could tell this company was focused on their customers. From offering me a bottle of water and giving my dog a treat, to ensuring I got all of the parts I needed, and walking me through steps I could take to ensure my machine stayed running smoothly, the guys and gals at Able Saw definitely left a lasting impression. If you want a big box shop that tries to get you out the door as quickly as possible while selling you parts and services you don't need, don't come here. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I trailered my rider to their shop to replace the idler pulley's and belts. One of the pulley bearings had seized up and damaged the corresponding belt. I asked them to replace the three pulley's and belts (good or bad) which they were happy to do. The problem arose when after a month of waiting for a call to either pickup the machine because it was ready or there would be a delay due to parts. These parts are readily available and should have presented no issues with attempting to obtain them. When I spoke to the young lady on the phone in an attempt to get some status, I received nothing but excuses and when I tried to suggest to her that it would be a courtesy to inform the customer when something out of the ordinary was affecting the repair and delivery of the article. That set her off and she commenced with a rude, sharp and nasty response and immediately hung up the phone. I should have known not to do business with these people because this was not my first negative experience with them. My normal repair shop in Prescott Valley was not available due to being closed due to personal business, with no return date. Left with no options I reluctantly went back to Able Saw. Never again, this was the most exasperating experience I've had in a very long time. Not two hours after my inquiry I received a call from the store informing me that my rider was ready for pickup. The person making the call had an entirely different demeanor than the young lady I spoke with earlier. Funny how waiting on parts, to its ready for pickup transpired in just two hours. read more

I took my chainsaw in there because it wasn't getting up to top speed. They said it would be a half hour shop charge but charged me an hour , and didn't do a thing to it. They hadn't touched it since I dropped it off, I watched the guy pick it up from where it was when I left it, turned the adjustment screw on the carb and tell me it's fixed. I am out $120 and my saw is still not working correctly. read more

I would not suggest this shop. They are not honest and do not do work they claim. I brought in a mint condition vintage 60s Homelite Chainsaw for them to diagnose. The said carb was gummed up and replacement carbs where not available. Being a skeptic I took carb apart. No gum what so ever. Diaphragm was still very flexible and in great shape. Problem was main adjustment pin was all the way out. Saw runs GREAT now, even under load. Replacement carbs are also readily available online. Changed me 35$ and pretty sure they did not even look at it. Just made assumptions. They where also pushing for me to give it to them to add to their display of antique chainsaws. Such a shame. Very poor business. Will not be going back EVER. read more

The ONLY place to have maintenance done, and purchase quality products. When Hotshots, landscapers and wood cutters have their maintenance done here, you know this is where the locals go. Just look at the amount of items to be repaired (tractors, chain saws, weed trimmers, etc). It's in the hundreds! I've been a customer of Able Saw for years! I've lived here for 30 years. Lately, I took my UTV Kawasaki Side-by-side there to be repaired. I'm ALWAYS a very satisfied, loyal customer. Co-Owners Isaac and Eric are professionals. Hope to see you there. If you go there good luck, Didn't fix a couple of the issues that I took the mower in for, Warranty work. When I called them on it.... promised to call Monday to make arrangements to fix it on site or pick it up, It's now Thursday and not a word out of them! I took in a chain saw that wasn't running well. Jay did a quick tuneup on it and didn't charge me anything. Very pleasant visit.

Took two saws to get serviced as both were not running correctly. They charged $36 dollars and they have never run better. Don't understand the negative review. I am 100% convinced this is the place to take my tools. Good job read more
