Able plumbing was recommended by my neighbor who had used them for years. We called and that very afternoon Able arrived and within 45 minutes problem solved and p v c pipes replaced with new better configured ones, cleaned drain and no more back up at a fair price. Very clean with drop cloths and pleasant. Definitely would call them again. read more

We scheduled an appointment with them for our rental property and after coordinaton with the tenant they cancelled the appointment 10 minutes before they were scheduled to come and provide an estimate . Very unprofessional and not expected from someone who has only 5 star reviews. read more

Someone referred me to Able. A plumber came the day I called. Up to that point, the service was great. In terms of meeting a need immediately, I cannot complain, nor take this away from this company. But what happened afterwards, I can definitely complain about. I needed to replace a shower valve for a bathroom renovation. The walls were removed, all I needed was a plumber who could do something I couldn't. I would have gladly paid a premium for this, but it wasn't super time sensitive. The plumber immediately told me that everything in my bathroom (all the shower pipes) were set up in an "old way" and needed removed and that the cost would be around $500. From previous experiences renovating bathrooms, I instantly smelled the BS. Then the sales pitches started coming. All of these things that the plumber could do for me, for a minimal/cheap total price of $1200 +. And if that wasn't enough, I was forced to pay a $97 service fee. And this is probably how they hook you into using them, because who wants to get a second opinion after spending roughly $100 on the first guy. But I went and got a second opinion anyways, and now have a perfectly renovated bathroom. How much did the other plumber cost? $199 TOTAL. So the Service Fee from Able + the other Plumber combined were cheaper than the quote from Able for full service. If you have an emergency, Able will likely be able to get there within 24 hours. I won't take that from them. But if you have time to wait, look elsewhere. The money you save could pay for the next plumbing issue you have! read more

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! I was completely clueless about hot water heater/plumbing issues. Rob from Able plumbing took the time to explain everything fully to me without being condescending. And he patiently answered my tons of questions. After he gave me an estimate,I did research some larger companies. First I didn't like the fact that most of them take forever to answer your call and when they do it's an automated response. Then when you do get a person, it's not as personal. I did find one that was a little less expensive but you get what you pay for and I wanted great service that I could trust. I ended up calling Able plumbing back and I was very, very satisfied with their work. I highly recommend them! read more

I was pleased to get a plumber (Rob) out to my house on the same day, and a Sunday. He made a fast and accurate diagnosis that our pressure valve had malfunctioned and replaced it all within the same hour. I didn't bother to research other companies but I am confident that the job was done within a reasonable price. That includes a one year warranty on the job and part. read more

We have used Able for a few jobs so far and been happy. Our house did not have a lot of necessary shut off valves (there was one for the whole house) and Rob installed several for us. He also installed a new line for the dishwasher. Based on the time and effort required, we were very happy with the pricing. He was friendly and did a great job. read more

Very disappointed with this plumbing service. They sent two plumbers and billed 2 plumbers for a job that needed one. Then I had to call 5 times to ask for the receipt. The receipt did not price out any of the parts and I am sure I was over billed. Avoid this one. read more

Abe came over the day I called and fixed my burst hose bib. It was a tricky job because it goes past all of the electrical for the house. He was able to reroute the pipe and install a new bib. We thoroughly tested the repair and he showed me how to prevent it in the future. read more

Able Plumbing (Danilo and Alan) put in a new main water line for me a few months ago. I was so happy with the service, I called them again today to get a running toilet repaired. Danilo and Alan came to the house one hour after my call. They are wonderful and answered all my questions patiently. Rob (the owner) is great and always available to answer questions. Honest, fast, reliable service. I have used Able plumbing for everything...frozen pipe, blown water supply line for washing machine, toilet repairs, kitchen sink leaks, master shower hot water mixer etc... Able were not able to plumb in a washing machine in Woodbidge. They sent the same guy around twice. The second time he left I was alerted to water leaking into the flat below. I was forced to get another plumber to finish a very simple job. For my pains, they took me to Court for their unpaid invoice. Unbelievable. I have a paid receipt from the plumber that finished the job and photo evidence of the damage caused to the flat downstairs. If they do not retract their claim I will be making a far larger claim. read more

In November 2013 I called Able to replace my kitchen faucet and the leaking drain pipe under my kitchen sink. I had used them previously to replace a sump pump in the house I owned at the time. They did a great job. So this time was a no brainer, I thought. The work was performed well, but Able gouged me on the price. Able charged me $97 for their first visit where no work was done because I needed to get a different faucet. Able said the $97 would be applied as if the next visit was the first visit. When the Able plumber completed the work on the second visit, Able ignored the $97 that had already been paid and I got no credit for the $97. I considered this to be unethical. read more

Bryan came out and was super efficient. I had a water leak and he discovered a bad gasket within minutes of being here. He charged me $150 for everything and I was quoted between $250-$700 at another place. I am a single female, and I felt very comfortable having him in my house alone. read more

I am a military member and this is an amazing company. Trust me, I've learned it is hard to find quality trades work in this area, not sure why? I will also tell you I have several plumbing companies now calling back for work, and this forum is no place for the details--bottom line I don't get their business strategy? Most seem just lazy. Anyway, I needed a sump pump replaced and Able's team was out here, today, the same day. It is a family owned business and the office is managed by exceptional staff; very, very friendly. Price was spot on, if not better. Most important, the service was thorough, flawless, quick. They used the best material, sump pump, piping, .... Rob was terrific. I had loud 'water banging' when we did a wash or flushed a toilet. He explained the various ways to fix this problem. We started with the cheapest - and it worked. Wow. This organization was great from top to bottom. I called around to multiple different pluming organization to get an estimate on a 75 gallon water heater replacement and found this company to really value their customers. I called and spoke with very nice person on the phone, Valrie, and asked for an estimate on a 75 gallon water heater replacement. She took down my name and number and told me that I would get a call back ASAP. In less then an hour I got a call back from from Rob who explained to me his opinion/experience with the different water heater manufacturers and which one he felt gave you the bets bang for you buck. After a lengthy discussion about the different manufacturers that he worked with I chose one and we set an install date. On the day of the install I got a call from Valrie letting me know exactly when the install team would arrive and and 3 hours later they were gone. Nelson and George did the install and did a great job. They cleaned their area when they were done and took the old one away and then asked me if I had any questions. This organization as really spot on from top to bottom and I will be using them again for all my pluming needs moving forward. read more

Called him out for a tub issue. Less than two weeks later had to call him out for a sewer issue. He said he would be right out, called him again an hour later and he said we would be next, called him again an hour and half later he said he decided to take someone else before us and it was giving him issues. Called him back another hour and told him to get to my house or I'm calling another plumber, all of a sudden he's on his way in less than 20 minutes. Asked him why he didn't call us to let us know he would be late and all he had to say was that he should have called. He did his work and flung fecal matter all over my basement on clean clothes and furniture from his auger machine. Paid him and he left. Called him back less than two weeks again and asked what type of guarantee he had on his work. He said no guarantee but he would give me a discount for coming out again. Less than a month later called Roto Rooter and they took the time to do the job and take the roots out that Able Plumbing somehow missed. Don't tell me that roots can grow fast enough to have two pounds of roots coming from the same spot in less than a month. Able Plumbing used to be my plumber forget him. Roto Rooter is the way to go, you get phone calls and they get the job done right. They also guarantee their work for a year. read more
