My dad came in for his first appointment and had a very disappointing experience. When he arrived, the front desk staff did not greet him or acknowledge him properly, and he was left waiting for a long time without clear communication. After all that, once he was finally taken to the back, he was told he was not supposed to be seen at that location. That should have been checked and communicated before making him wait. Patients deserve basic courtesy, especially when they are new and may already be dealing with pain or recovery. The lack of professionalism and communication from the reception staff was unacceptable. I hope management addresses this so other patients are not treated this way. read more

The staffs were nice. Came here, referred here for a evaluation about my back. My back was not really hurting at the time, so there wasn't really much that I can tell them, but the fact that I do have back issues and waitng for MRI results. The PT was so definite that she believed there wasn't anything wrong with my back because it wasn't really hurting at the time. But I did tell her, I will wait for MRI results. Since it was just an eval visit there wasn't really much they can do to me but to show me simple exercises or get on the shock machine. A week later I got my MRI results, shows I do have some wear and tear on my discs. read more

I've been coming here for after surgery physical therapy on my right knee. To say that I'm impressed with the quality and service they provide here is an understatement. From the minute you walk in and are greeted by Jenny and Naomi's smiling faces you are made to feel comfortable. Trusha, HC and Nancy are great at what they do. My work place sent me here when I had a workplace injury. I hurt my back really bad and had to do physical therapy. All of the staff in this facility were very polite and professional. I never felt pressured nor rushed. They were all really nice. They were patient in teaching and coaching me with the motions of the exercises and stretchings. The facility is clean and organized. They have a weights and exercise machines area, and rooms where you can do stretching and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. Restrooms are also available. The check in process is quick and easy. Waiting for your session to begin is not at all long. Parking outside is not a problem. You can either park in the street or along the stalls surrounding the building. Two thumbs up for this place. read more

Just hate when it's your first appt N your waiting and not greeter by the pt. Had to wait. Receptionist Was great. They would not help me insisted on me doing exercises that caused so much pain . Called the supervisor to tell them that my dr only wanted me to be stretched out the first few times and no exercising yet. So then they said no problem. So I came back. They were " sorry" but wanted me to do it there way. Really tried but after I did it there way I ended up in hospital from the pain an my bp shot up to 170 from the pain. Talked again to the supervisor and they said they would talk to the Pt And get back to me . Never did. I moved on to the new place. There awesome . They stretch me out I do the exercise I'm sore but that's normal. Listen to your body. read more

This Able Physical Therapy office in Anaheim is related to a few other Able PT offices locally. This one's only been open about three months, and apparently have not yet treated an active Yelper - until now! To begin with, "Able" is a good name for a PT office. In the "Yes, we can" tradition such as "I am ABLE to walk now without pain, now that my injured body parts have healed". Good name. The facility is large enough for what they need. Packed with expensive machines, it makes me happy to live in America where we have all this stuff. I ran track and cross-country for a college that had a Sports Therapy program, so the students would practice on you for practical training hours. This stuff is big business in America. In Australia too. God forbid we don't want injured athletes that can't run straight - that would be really lame and our quality of life would diminish. And regular people don't want to be in pain either. But we don't have to hobble around 'cause we can get PT and set an example for the world by walking straight and tall. (LOL) We want the option of being injury-free so we can re-injure ourselves and do the process all over. That's freedom. What do the people do in countries that don't have PT? Maybe just hobble around indefinitely and either improve or not. As for the staff, I won't name names as I know I'll forget someone. But everyone here is friendly and diligent enough, so it's not "painful" to come here, unless your injury is hurting, of course. The staff are congenial to each other also. You'll do the life cycle to warm up. You'll do the movement and the stretching exercises. You might do some machines, then maybe some electro-therapy. They will suggest subtle corrections in your movement to isolate the subject areas. That's it, no gimmicks. And they will even print out your exercises so you can stretch at home. Nice, cold AC on the hot days. Music to pass the time as you do your repetitions. Works for me and I can run again. Yay. read more

So I had a major injury in 2010 at work. Been dealing with pain for 8yrs now. Workers comp approved acupuncture of all things for pain relief, so gave it a try here. AMAZING!!!!!!! For the first time in 8 years, I have relief from back pain without drugs! I also have regained considerable feeling in my left leg!!! Yuri Fushimi is not only a great acupuncturist, but also kind and truly caring! Who would think that I would look forward to an appointment to have needles stuck in me?!?! One of the very best Physical Therapists that I found for my Mom here! They also provide other specialized care needs, such as Acupuncture and Occupational Therapy for those who need it. We were worried that they would not take my mother's insurance like so many other places, but they willingly accepted us with open arms and made everything very easy. The front office are so rude and unprofessional. When I came into the office, some heavy girl in the front told me that my wife cannot come into the session with me and then I just left. They are always so busy and taking phone calls and everyone is running around and does not have time to even chat with us. Management needs to get better because this was a joke. read more
