I had some serious plumbing issues at my rental house, which had been vacant for awhile. I didn't realize the problem until tenants moved in March 1st and things started going haywire. I thought it was a standard clogged drain so I found Able Rooter via positive reviews on a local neighborhood website. Randy came out the same day and cleared the line, but he also figured out there was something big in one of my pipes. By the time he broke this news to me he had already called the City, who were on their way out with a camera. To make a very long story short, it turned out I had a huge (seriously, THREE INCH IN DIAMETER!) root growing into a 4 inch pipe under my lawn The City couldn't find it because their's was a one way clean-out that only went from the bottom of my property out to the street. Randy helped me connect with some great plumbers, but more importantly, he returned several times to clean the drain while I waited for job to be done so my tenants didn't have to, like, move out. He showed up to meet with every other vendor who came to work on this: The City, the plumber who installed a clean out, the plumber who ran the camera down and found the root, the septic dude who made the ultimate repair. Seriously, I felt Randy was almost as invested as I was in getting things fixed. I really appreciated having someone to run interference with other professionals. Had some issues with our kitchen sink not draining properly. It was working one day and the next Slow drain occurred. I tried drano and even snaking the pipes myself. My problem was my snake only goes 20 feet. Sooo I had to break and call in the big guns. Asked the wife to search yelp for a plumber and she came across able rooter. I called and he was able to respond within a couple hours. He came in with a commercial grade snake that can reach 90-100 feet. Obviously a lot farther than my home depot 20 footer. Randy is fast, efficient and knows what he's doing. I called mid-morning and he was here in one hour. He snaked two lines and took care of clogs at each end of our house, which had been causing water to back up into our kitchen sink and bath tub. He didn't even have to come inside the house, he just parked in the alley, we opened the gate for him and he got right to work. Randy also identified a problem with a large pipe in our back yard, said it might have to be replaced but to wait a while and see how often we get a clog before looking into replacing it.
