Chips and salsa/queso from the food truck! A glass of Red Hawk behind
    Brandie H.

Every time we have been it has been a delight. The staff are friendly, warm, and inviting. The wine is fantastic (try a wine slushee during the summer when they have them) Try the Red Hawk, you will not be disappointed. Also a fan of the honeysuckle, although my husband is thoroughly impressed with most of them! I am not a wine drinker quite like he is so those are two of my favorites when I do decide to indulge. The wine slushees are fantastic to me and him alike. They offer a wide variety of snacks and drinks you can purchase or you can bring your own cheese and crackers along! We love going for the music and food truck events and we drive about 2 hours just to visit, so we definitely recommend! Situated right on the river you can enjoy the water while you enjoy all the vineyard offers!

This place is amazing!!! The service, the prices and the wines are all top notch. We were staying in Abingdon and decided to try it out, as it is recommended as one of the top things to do there, and we weren't disappointed. My husband and I each had a tasting of 4 wines and we bought a few to bring to our cabin. We also truly enjoyed the ambience, the winery is hidden away surrounded by beautiful scenery. You truly can't go wrong visiting here!

Took a drive off the beaten path to this lovely vineyard. Beautiful venue with great wine selection -opted for a flight tasting and was not disappointed. Whites, reds and dessert wines. To go charcuterie snacks and nibbles available for your own picnic inside or outside. Live music on weekends. Owners dog will greet you and make you feel welcomed. Will definitely venture back on my next visit to area.

Fantastic winery. They offered a flight of wine (4 wines) for $25 each and had a live band playing for $5 a head as the cover charge. Wine was good and we also got 1 beer each Creek next to the winery was peaceful and staff was very kind. All of the tables outside were full by 4pm... glad we stopped by on our way to Wise, VA.

Our second time here. My wife and I love their grounds, surrounded by trees and water, it's the perfect place to sit and sip wine. We each found a glass we liked. I enjoyed the Riesling. They accommodated my wife with a free sample before selecting hers. We purchased a small cheese charcuterie box too. It was very good, but entirely overpriced. You can bring your own food, but unfortunately we were not prepared, so we had no choice. It's a wonderful venue in Abingdon.

Such a gem! This place has an amazing view, a heated patio, and fire pits. On top of that, amazing wine from both Virginia and Napa grapes. We did a flight (heavy pours) and then ended grabbing another glass of wine and some bottles to go. While all the wine was good, the favorite was definitely the Virginia red. The owners were super knowledgeable and very friendly with answering our questions. We were lucky enough to be there when they had a Pop up from Jack Rabbit and the food was to die for!! Wish we lived closer, we would definitely be regulars. But if you're passing through Abingdon, this place is absolutely a must-see.

A hidden gem. Worth your while to have a nice glass of wine and enjoy the scenery. Relaxing

The first stop of a multi-day trip to this corner of Virginia. It set the tone for subsequent visits - beautiful venues, with wines made of higher-altitude friendly grapes or hardy hybrids, usually well priced. According to my wonderful server (I think her name was Claudette), Abingdon recently changed ownership; a couple with a flair for wine who decided to put roots (literally and figuratively) in Virginia. They have 13 acres of grapes, and most of their wines are estate. The lineup is currently sweet-wine heavy, but future vintages will likely have more dry styles in line with the new owners' preferences. I did a partial tasting; the standouts were the 2017 Chardonnel with a very clean finish, the 2016 Riesling that had a full mouthfeel, and the Chambourcin that had nice plumb notes. I picked up a Riesling.

My sister in laws and I had an amazing time visiting Abingdon Vineyards. It's such a beautiful property and the owners were so nice during our visit. We loved the views and so many seating options!

Loved the wine and loved the atmosphere! They always have music or events going on so I love to check out their events each weekend by following their social media. The location is absolutely beautiful and the owners are so sweet.

It was an exceptionally brilliant idea. The place has a phenomenal staff (especially Opie). They were welcoming, personable and knowledgeable. They had a deep experience with wines that helped guide the experienced wine drinkers and an empathetic approach to those (aka, me) who were clueless. I (ahm, the inexperienced) were never intimidated or given the snob treatment. However, my brother who knows his way around a bottle or two (or at least actively tries to fake it) was given the appropriate insights to what he was drinking. Across the ten of us, we tried multiple different wines and they were all well liked. Many made their way home as people had to take some bottles home. You can tell that I'm an amateur because the whole "flight of wines" thing was new to me. It was brilliant to sample many different varieties in what I would call shooters to the great disappointment of my brother. Yeah, I told you he acted like he knew what he was doing. They also gave us a brief tour of the beautiful grounds as well as a look "behind the scenes". I would really recommend visiting in the fall and maybe seeing things in action. The drive is a bit "way back there", but I highly encourage you to take the trip. It's definitely worth it.
