I knew when they had to keep coming back to "fix" what was wrong; large bubbles, two-tone colors, uneven texture and later hair line cracks down the middle, I had made a huge error. They offered to keep coming back, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results, then offered insurance after I got three estimates. I was done with it all. My error was in paying the full amount. My brother visited from out of state during the summer and was appalled seeing the inferior job and did what he could to make improvements with limited time. It's obvious when someone knows what they're doing. Lesson learned. Hire reputable pros and get what you pay for.

They said they could send someone out to look at the issue and I agreed. Moore's never told me that they'd charge me to have the technician come out and what the rate would have been. It was $160 for the technician to IMOverify what I already knew in 20 minutes. When I pressed the owner about not telling me up front, he told me it's his practice not to mention service call charges and labor charges unless the client asks and that I should have expected to pay. That's bananas, imo. We agreed on $100, and I went with another contractor who told me everything upfront without games.,

July 31, 2026 my A/C stopped cooling, it was about 95° degrees, so I called Pioneer Comfort…read moreSystems, who said my A-coil was leaking and they could repair/ replace it for $4500-6000!, but I'd have to wait until Monday(it went out Friday afternoon). Then they said if I bought a new system for $16,000-30,000, they could install it the next day. They sent a salesman over who gave me a price on a new basic system for $14,906! Do I repair my 12 year old system for $4500-6000 and go without air in 95° weather for 4 days, or pay $14906 and get a new system the next day? I asked the salesman, Eric Vance, to give me a cost breakdown of the new system and installation costs so I could go online and compare prices, but he said he couldn't do that! I decided to go with new new system. It was installed the next day by 3 young men, one of which weighed about 300 lbs and bent one of the aluminum legs on my attic access ladder. My old attic air handler was hung horizontally from my rafters, but PCS build a wooden frame and installed it on top of my ceiling joists, putting the weight of the system and large drain pan on the ceiling in the middle of my living room. I called Eric Vance and asked why they couldn't hang it from the rafts like my old system was and he said that was not allowed by code. I later looked up the code and it said as long as a similar size unit was being installed to replace existing unit, it could be hung! There were several small things that the installers didn't do very well, which I reported and the installation supervisor came over the next day and corrected those items. Shortly after the installers left the A/C shut off and wouldn't come back on so one of the installers come back and got it running again?? I feel that PCS took advantage of my a/c breakdown and saw the opportunity to greatly overcharge me for the new system and installation. I should have gotten several other quotes to make sure I was getting a fair deal, so don't make the same mistake I did!! PCS charges more than most other local companies!
