We visited this place while staying in Grand Haven for a bowling tournament. We wanted Mexican and chose Arturo's because they had a parking lot (the other place we found only had street parking.) Lot was small, but easy to enter and leave. Arturo's is quaint with not a lot of seating. Decorated well without being too showy. Very, VERY clean. We chose to carry out because we thought that with the small amount of seating, it would be cramped. However, they were so fast in delivering food to customers, we realized that we would have done well eating in. Now ... the food! Freaking amazing. Pimp and I had the pick 3 dinner specials. For $13 you get rice and beans and 3 main items (i.e. tacos, tamales, etc) I chose a taco, tamale, and quesadilla. Pimp had all tacos. The beans and rice were seasoned to perfection. After filling up on my beans, I barely had room for the rest. I used my fingers to scrape the last bit of the beans out of the container. LOL (I could have just settled with the beans and rice.) But I braved it and dug into my chicken taco. We both agreed that the chicken was very well seasoned, moist, but not soggy. It was a good amount of it on the tacos without being too much. We were so full after the beans, rice, and tacos, we had to take a break for a siesta. I still got a tamale, and quesadilla left and Pimp had two tacos. But if we finished, this review would not get written. Buen trabajo, Arturo's. Lo has hecho muy bien. We'll be back after bowling tomorrow to get some of those beans to take home.

Excellent food truck!…read more I was out with friends looking at RVs, and we came across Lovie's at an RV dealership. We hadn't planned on stopping at a food truck.but the sandwiches looked delicious so we gave it a try. We each ordered different sandwiches, mine was a veggie. It was piled high with toppings, plenty of cheese, and the mayo and mustard I had requested. It was excellent! My friends selected other sandwiches and they were extremely happy with their choices too. We all ordered homemade potato salad and it was tasty. The servings were generous. Fast friendly service. Prices are extremely reasonable. We will be looking for Lovie's food truck!

He just opened again for the season (find his calendar on his website) so I had to stop by for opening day. I picked up the burger of the month - 1/3 beef patty, hash brown, fried egg, bacon, ketchup and mayo. I'm a huge fan of breakfast sandwiches so this hit the spot. Everything tasted fresh, he got the fried egg yolk perfect, just right amount of sauces, juicy beef. Literally no complaints. ALSO HE INCLUDES TAX IN THE PRICE LIKE WHO DOES THAT. I'm a fan and I'm coming back as much as I can. Don't sleep on this place. Also I'm not sure what's going on with the one-star reviews on here but they don't look real at all. All posted around the same time, only one review for the accounts. Just saying those definitely are not real.

The order counter is across the room, with no signage or menu. They have a QR for menu access on their counter. The photos I saw on Google do not match the reality and food options are different from the pictures shown. Once clicking on the QR menu, they don't serve all the options on that menu either. I ended up ordering the Palm Butter with Chicken ($20) with fufu. Plus a side of Jollof rice ($6). The Palm Butter was like a curry with 2 giant Chicken Kegs in it. The sauce was good, but not great. The Chicken was tender and tasted fine, but the skin has a negative slimy texture. The fufu was like a mux between bread and mashed potatoes, odd sounding, but pretty good. I did not like the Jollof rice at all and ended up not eating it. The service was very friendly and they certainly tried. Overall a 2 star review. Maybe this type of food just isn't for me, but I was trying something new. Would I return? No, however if you enjoy West African food I suggest giving it a try yourself and maybe it will be more to your liking.

Fufu is a plain tasting dough with mashed potato/mochi like texture. I tried it with egusi (melon seed) soup. The soup was more like a sauce and it was on the bitter side with a strong earthy seedy taste and loads of texture from finely minced veggies. If you don't like bitter foods, I'd avoid egusi. What you have to try is the chicken quarter and plantains with chili oil (not pictured). That was heavenly. Phenomenal flavor with a delicious spicy oil to go with. The fried plantains were soft, mushy and ultra sweet. I loved it, though it could be firmer. Excited to come back for other dishes.
