My guidance counselor told my parents that I had a low IQ, I tested low on ACT's and SAT's, and I'd never make it to college. Not once did those guidance counselors pull me aside and actually try to understand my life. I was living my life in survival mode dealing with trauma after trauma yet your counselors never picked up on that, instead they called me dumb. I graduated cum laude and made the deans list multiple times while receiving my bachelors. I truly hope your counselors are better educated now and will actually help students instead of calling them dumb.

They have a LOT of learning activities even in the short 9-1 day, plus playground time, lunch, and free play. He always wants to show me what he did that day before we even get to the car. We are always greeted by more than one staffer on our way in and out of the building, usually referring to my son by name. Not only is it a charming environment, you will be amazed at how much more they manage to cover than just the basics. There is a focus on fine arts and performances, which are so great for confidence building. But they also get into robotics, go on cool field trips, and seem to have more fun events and activities than you might get in public school. The summer camp sessions are great, too!
