If I could rate this a zero I would. My baby sister had an appointment Saturday (May 14th 2022) to find her a wedding dress. Not only was it scheduled, it was confirmed by phone. We were all there and the business was closed! Couldn't get ahold of ANYONE by phone the entire day! Still never received a call to explain or apologize! We waited to see if maybe they might have hit traffic and NOTHING! No call, no show---to make it worse we asked the business next door and they said we weren't the only ones who mentioned this same issue that day let alone in recent years. This is suppose to be an important event and big day for many yet this was just unprofessional and inexcusable all around. We are all grateful for it though...because had this happened later down the line when needing to pick up the dress let's say after alterations---total nightmare I imagine. I feel for any bride trying to get ahold of anyone at this location. THANKFUL for ELLIS BRIDAL for not only accommodating my baby sister on her special day but us all. DO NOT GO HERE FOR YOUR WEDDING DRESS!!! It was THE WORST experience ever! I had an appointment and i was not treated as so. The lady there named christy or Chrissy, had to be on something. There is no other explanation for the way she was acting. She couldn't answer any of my questions. I was looking for dresses on my own with no help from her. I didn't know about sizing or fits or anything and she just stood there creepily laughing and taking forever to answer my questions but it would be the same answer over and over. This dress shop was my first stop in shopping for a bridal dress. I thought the dresses were beautiful, and even walked out having one that brought my mother to tears. However, I personally left feeling very frustrated and upset. I had indicated to the stylist before she pulled any dresses what my budget was, and how anything over that budget would be difficult for me to purchase. The dresses she put me in were very beautiful, but the two "favorite" dresses are significantly over my budget. I just felt like what I was asking for was being ignored and I was being upsold on dresses that I absolutely cannot purchase. I did love the stylist and the look of dresses, but will discourage anyone from looking here is you have a strict budget, as I do. read more

Take everything they say with a grain of salt. They do NOT do custom wedding dresses. If they tell you while you are trying dresses on that they can do custom work, they are telling the truth. But, after you order your dress and pieces to customize it, they will tell you afterwards that they ARE NOT taking any alterations at this time and you need to go elsewhere. Also, they will tell you that they never told you they would customize your dress for you. Even though the exact phrasing, "Once your dress comes in we will let you know so WE can start on alterations, so that once the other pieces come in WE can add those pieces on." Too bad. Because they have beautiful, reasonably priced dresses and could be a top contender for business. Maybe you should work on your customer service. read more

Can you imagine getting your wedding dress for $600? Well, you should...I had a unique and classic wedding dress thanks to Abelina's. I live in NYC, and looked plenty here...found nothing that really felt like me. Thanks to Abelina's I found the perfect dress for me (and it was tea length which is surprisingly very difficult to find). A small issue if you are ordering from out of town and having someone else pick it up. Make sure to tell them all the extra things that might be coming with it. In my case, the belt that I had ordered was not with the dress and my mom didn't realize it should have been. She had to go back to pick it up. Not a big deal, but would alleviate any extra stress by mentioning it to the folks on the phone. read more

I recently just got engaged and was super excited to try on dresses, especially from here because a family member got her dress from here, but after today i do not recommend. i came in there, just to look around and ended up finding 4 wedding dresses i really liked that i wanted to try on. keep in mind that my sister and i were the ONLY ones in the store, but when we went to ask to try some on, the ladies in there made us feel super unwelcome, kept looking over at us all suspicious, i even caught the lady peaking at us. they were basically acting like we were gonna steal something. they made us make an appointment (which is completely fine and i can understand) but the way they spoke to us and their attitude made it seem like they did not want to help us, let alone make an appointment for me to come in to try dresses on another time. overall, not a good experience especially being the first bridal shop i went too after being engaged, i should have just canceled the appointment after the way they treated us. read more

I have only shopped the casual clothes side of the store, not the formal dresses/bridals, and I have to say that Iove small affordable boutiques like Abelinas! It's not overwhelming like Forever 21 and prices aren't crazy! You can get through their inventory pretty quick, yet you'll find something you can use! They carry the usual boutique brands. Just take a peek at their website and you'll get an idea of what they carry. Keep in mind that they don't have everything on the their website. In addition they have trendy jewelry and sunglasses. After the first dress, they wanted me to say yes to the dress. After trying on three dresses, they told me that they didn't have anything for me and I needed to leave. The dresses at this salon are all beautiful and I ended up buying my wedding dress here. I have no complaints regarding the actual dresses. However, the staff made several big mistakes that were really stressful to deal with, so I want potential buyers to be aware of that! I purchased my dress beginning of May and was told it would arrive in four months. When I went to the store a few weeks later to pick up extra lace that I had ordered, I inquired about the status of my dress and Sarah told me it was expected to ship on October 23 - two weeks before my wedding and two months after they said it would! I called the salon later to discuss options and it turned out that she had misread the date. However, I would not have known that without following up. My dress arrived at the store in August and I was not notified until nearly two weeks later when I contacted the store to inquire. Had I waited a day longer, they would have begun charging me daily for each day the dress stayed in store. Again, Sarah assured me they had tried to call, but I had received no phone calls from their number the day they allegedly called, and they never attempted to call again or email me like they had in the past when the lace arrived. The color of the dress belt was different than the one I ordered, but I decided it wasn't worth dealing with the staff anymore to try to fix it. The burden was on me to make sure everything was done correctly and in a timely manner, and I would have appreciated them taking better care of my order: Ultimately, I am happy with my dress, but extremely disappointed with the competency of the staff and the service I received. read more

My family and I have shopped at Abelina's Boutique for numerous occasions and have usually left happy. However, today I had an awful experience. I live in Dallas and over the holidays I purchased a shirt at the boutique. When I arrived back to Dallas, I realized that the employee forgot to remove the security tag. I called the store today and was told that it was my problem and that they could not offer me any help. Not professional. I would really have appreciated a contact in Dallas that could remove the tag or an offer to pay for shipping of the garment to Abelina's to remove the tag. I have never been treated like that by a retailer. Now, I'm stuck with calling local Dallas retailers and finding some nicer people to solve my situation. read more
