Divinity owner, Jake, walked the job with us and his crew the day the work started in order to ensure clear scope and quality requirements. He and his crew were great in interfacing with the tenants. Can't believe I convinced them to delete my post a year ago, then again 3 months ago, with the…read morepromise of a timely repair. I hired them to install LVP flooring in my new construction in 2022. Their quote was the lowest, budget was tight, Yelp reviews were good, so I bit. Long story short, I got what I paid for. A below average job with a lot of headaches to deal with. A poor subflooring job by Ivan (who doesn't work for them anymore) with a floating, creaking floor by the master bedroom entrance and a speed bump in the second floor hallway led to many texts and emails, eventually someone coming to inspect, then subcontractors arriving just to cut corners and doing minimal work to make their keep, leading to a broken plank, then a new team of subcontractors coming and almost fixing it but then deciding to cut corners at the last minute when they had to return to fix a crack that occurred from their repair job and persuading me to glue down the one last plank that they couldn't fit in properly. Now I'm left with two areas where edges of planks have tilted up from getting unglued, which started only 2 weeks after their last repair in March 2026. After my last review, the owner Arthur came to inspect in June 2026 and made a promise to get it all fixed. It's October and I'm still getting the runaround, with more promises of "let's start next week," followed by silence to my check-in texts. I waited all this time because I didn't want to spend a dime to fix someone else's mistake. But it's all right. It's time to move on. I'm sure they do a good job most of the time based on all the other reviews. But not on this one. I gave them ample time to right their wrongs to avoid this review, but I guess I should have known being patient and polite does not get rewarded in this zero-sum game.

I was able to go into the showroom, discuss the color options, choose the carpet, and set the installation time for Tuesday evening at 4:00 PM. The installer arrived right on time at 9:00 AM Wednesday morning and was finished by 2:00 PM that same day. I was especially impressed with Lupe, the installer. He did a wonderful job, vacuumed the room, and completely cleaned up after himself. The whole experience was fast, professional, and easy from start to finish. I love supporting local Huntington Beach businesses, and Michael's Carpet truly delivered. Highly recommend!

We knew that we needed an expert to complete the job without the risk of damaging them. We had a difficult decision to make and for this project, we obtained 7 quotes. After looking into each of the companies through the CSLB website, we found out that only four of them had a valid contractors license. We felt very comfortable with George, the owner of Jace. He has vast knowledge of hardwood floors with years of experience, has a friendly demeanor, and is a fellow dog rescuer. One of the other reviews mentions a customer's satisfaction with Jace's refinishing of their 100 years old floors. Though his quote was not the lowest, we chose quality over price. And we are so happy we did. Carlos, the lead tech on our project is also very knowledgeable and approachable. He answered all of our questions, and explained everything they were doing throughout the various stages of the process. Carlos's assistant, Jair is friendly and a hard worker. After the work was completed, Mike came to inspect the work, and grout the transition from our Dining Room to our kitchen. I didn't even have to ask them to do this. George suggested it to replace the ugly molding that was previously there, and on which we would frequently stub our toes. Mike returned a second time to drop off a complementary Bona cleaning kit. From the initial Yelp request to the finish of our project, George and his team were stellar, exceeding our expectations. Our floors look amazing, as if they were newly installed! I would recommend them to everyone in need of hardwood floor installation/refinishing/repairs. It is their specialty and their business name says so. Check out their work on Instagram @jace_floors

Before coming here, we had already visited several other flooring stores and received multiple quotes. We were incredibly grateful that this shop was open on a Saturday afternoon when we were looking. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Eddy. Right away, we could tell he was highly knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to earn our business. By the end of our visit, not only had we selected the perfect wood for our floors, but Eddy even offered to come out and do the measurements within an hour of closing up the shop that same afternoon. Eddy gave us a very competitive offer, and we signed the agreement that same day. He made the entire process so much easier than the horror stories we had heard about other service providers. It was a massive plus that he has his own dedicated installation team, and Eddy himself was on-site several times during the project to check on the progress. The installation team worked incredibly efficiently and finished the job exactly on time. If you want a professional, efficient, and honestly priced experience, ask for Eddy at Flooring Discount Centers. They are excellent!

Once the selections were made, paid for, appointments and schedules made, the work began. The crew who tore out the old flooring for our living and family rooms performed the demolition in a clean and neat manner. However, the crew made a gross error in that they tore out part of the old flooring from an adjoining guest bathroom, which was not part of the renovation project. The tile was gone and there was nothing that could done. They sanded the concrete where the old vinyl flooring laid and evened the concrete so the new wood would lay evenly. They then proceeded with the installatiion of the wood floor with much precision and expert manner. In almost 3 days the job was complete. They then applied some wax or gel film on to the wood floor. At the end of the day, it was obvious the crew was going to go home, as they thought the job was finished. However, I woud not allow them to leave until the wood floor with the wax or film was cleaned up and I asked them to clean up the floor as the floor was unacceptable that way. Their supervisor, an elderly with a heavy accent, arrived to collect payment for the job. I told him I was very displeased with the way the floor was looking with all the greasy waxy look. He said that was from the glue the guys used to glue down the engineered wood. I asked him to get the guys to clean up the waxy film on the wood. He said it was my job to clean that up. I told him I was not going to accept that it was my job to clean up the floor. He was unreasonable and rude. I would not recommend that supervisor. Fortunately, the young men who worked for him cared for the work they did. The wood floor was beautiful but we thought the job was expensive.
