I really loved the location of this office. I initially started off being a patient of Dr. Moore-…read moreWaters and ended up being a patient of Dr. D'Souza's due to needing an emergency appointment one time. Let me just say thank God they didn't have the "you-can't-see-a- different-physician-in-our-practice" policy like another medical practice I used to go to. Both Dr Moore-Waters and Dr. D'Souza are great doctors, hands down!! Absolutely no complaints there. Very thorough, friendly and very informative. It's hard to find great physicians like them these days. Now here comes the minor negative.....and I really mean minor negative.... No x-ray facility so if you needed a chest or spinal x-ray, you'd have to trek to Dekalb Medical Center. The clerical staff seemed absent minded at times. I'd call to ask a question and get transferred around sometimes. It wasn't a constant thing but it certainly happened here and there and was frustrating. Now here is why I've taken a one star deduction. I called to make an appointment last month and not only was I informed Dr. D'Souza was no longer with the practice but I was also informed the practice had moved to Tucker, GA. I was shocked because I wasn't notified about any of this and really felt left out in the cold. At this point I feel like I'm at a crossroads. Tucker is not terribly far but I feel like the carpet has been pulled out from under me. I have more questions than answers and I'm not sure what has happened because Dr. Moore-Waters hadn't been at that particular location very long. For years she was next door to Ace Hardware on Scott Blvd but none the less, she's been in Decatur for years. Maybe I'll never know and maybe it's none of my business but I do feel a bit neglected by not being informed. Either way, it doesn't diminish Dr. Moore-Waters' and Dr. D'Souza's expertise as physicians

UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - BELOW…read more Customer Service: Customer service is poor. The staff are nice and friendly in the office, but are almost impossible to reach by phone. They rarely return phone calls. Physician: Dr. Waters no longer sees my family member, she passed my family member off to a Nurse Practitioner, the NP is professional and friendly and so far I haven't had any issues with her care, but she isn't a MD. Office: Office is not too small and nothing special. The last time I went inside the television was off? I'm not sure if they had enough money to purchase Netflix, Hulu or Cable? Parking: Parking area is sufficient, but the office has moved into an area that is not as nice as her previous office. Additional: Dr. Water's office nickels and dimes the patients now. I'm not sure if it's because she's hurting financially (see TV comment above) or what the reason is, but my family member went to a scheduled appointment and asked them to fill out a form for work; they wanted to charge an extra $25 fee to fill out a paper for her job. That should be part of the office visit. I consider that unacceptable and very poor customer service. This medical office has gone from being one of the best in Atlanta to being just like all the others, not very good. Summary: Overall, because it's almost impossible to get anyone on the phone or get return phone calls, because they want to nickel and dime you for every single thing and because they have to send patients out for many things now, I would definitely not suggest Dr. Waters anymore. Perhaps if she addresses these problems and returns to the way she did business before I would change my review, but as of now I can't recommend her to anyone. Pros: 1. Parking is never an issue Cons: 1. Very difficult to reach anyone by phone. 2. Nickel and dimes patients now 3. No longer able to do lab work at office because LabCorp will not send Phlebotomists to office d/t Covid and office staff very inexperienced with drawing blood. (Costing MORE for the patient) 4. Sends out patients because they don't have proper equipment or the experience to perform basic exams or obtain diagnostics. (Costing MORE for the patient) "F" as of this review. Let's hope they improve. UPDATED REVIEW - 10/16/2020 - ABOVE

She listened to me re my medical issues, she was thoughtful, professional, caring, and an excellent doctor/surgeon. Hopefully I will stay healthy and never need another surgery, but if I do I will definitely call Dr. McCarter.

He is an excellent diagnostician. If he does not know what the problem is he has always made referrals to excellent doctors. He gets to know you. You are important to him. He notices Little things that others would not. One day I had a cut on my arm from blackberry bushes which looked like a Clean deep knife cut. He noticed it even though I was seeing him about something else. Dr Raghavan was very quick to inspect it and throughly ask about it. At first I was taken a bake about why he was so concerned about it. But then I appreciated that he noticed and wanted to make sure I had not been harmed in someway beyond a blackberry thorn. I have a difficult medical history due to systemic lupus, diabetes, asthma etc. He keeps up with me and is encouraging to me to work to not give up and To improve, which by the way I have. He goes out of his way for his patients. Several years ago I went to see him with the flu. I had driven myself but could hardly walk. He offered to let me stay in one of his rooms and take me home at lunchtime. I was going to take him up on it, but my brother was available to come get me. My parents felt the same way about him. He provided them with wonderful care just the same as he does me. So this should be 3 stellar reviews instead of one. When all is summed up, I trust him with my life and I recommend to anyone who is looking for these qualities in a doctor should see him. Judy Shurling. Kennesaw Georgia

My wife scheduled what was supposed to be her annual physical at this practice. She had been a…read morepatient here for years under Dr. K, who has since retired. During the appointment, the new physician asked questions about her existing medical history, including cholesterol and other previously diagnosed conditions. My wife answered those questions but did not seek treatment for any new issues. The physician ordered routine blood work, including tests that she has received as part of her annual physical for several years. We were surprised to later receive a bill for a separate office visit. We were told that because pre-existing conditions were discussed during the appointment, the visit was billed separately. We also received a separate bill from the lab for the blood work. What makes this particularly frustrating is that my wife has had these same routine tests performed during her annual physicals for the past four years at this practice without receiving an additional office visit charge or lab charge. Patients should be aware that discussing existing medical conditions during an annual physical at Northside Primary Care Midtown (previously Midtown Medical Associates), even when responding to questions from the physician, will result in additional charges. Basic tests such as cholesterol, lipid profile etc. is not covered under the annual physical with this practice anymore. We wish this had been explained clearly before or during the appointment so we could have made an informed decision. We are disappointed and concerned about the transparency of the billing process. We will look for another doctor.

I called to get an appointment with Dr. Koralewski although I had previously seen Dr. Miller. I asked is the policy in writing anywhere and she said NO. They were extremely rude and it seems to me this is actually UNETHICAL. I will certainly be sharing my experience and searching for a new practitioner.
