I thought it was optional but my doctor actually would not see me unless I signed up for that mess. Whose idea was this 'concierge' service and is anyone actually paying all that money for things a doctor should be doing anyway?? I'm amazed that a practice that should be focused on patients are focused on making even more money by actually taking thousands from their patients. It's unbelievable, sad and just greedy. Dr. Long was an average doctor and the nerve of her to want me to pay more just to get my annual physical (BASIC healthcare). Shame on her and Piedmont for thinking this is a good idea. I'm proud to say that I'm now with Northside so good riddance to Ms. Long and Peidmont.

This was in response to my request, ONE TIME, to speak to a manager about a gross mishandling of a single appointment. I waited patiently for MONTHS to get an appointment for a routine physical (pretty standard that you have to wait so long...), the appointment was cancelled without my knowledge by PIM because the doctor I was scheduled to see left the practice (wisely, it would seem), they refused to allow me to see any of their other TWELVE doctors for at least FIVE MONTHS after the appointment THEY messed up, and were not concerned at all about my medical needs. I own a hospital myself and have also had to fire a few clients for racism, aggressive/threatening behavior, illegal activities, and other egregious troubles, but never once have I asked any of them to leave because of a single isolated complaint about difficulty scheduling an appointment. The scheduling/management team clearly does not value the relationships between the patients and the doctors and seems to be in a current state of active sabotage. It has become clear to me why not only my doctor left this horrible practice, but multiple other doctors have left as well. I truly hope that those that left have found a better home in a more compassionate, caring, and professional environment. Well, off to find my new PCP, and this practice will not be missed.

Unquestionably the most thorough new patient evaluation I've experienced in 60+ years…read more My appointment was with the nurse practitioner, who unfortunately had the flu, but Dr. Smiddy worked me into his schedule the same day. Dr. Smiddy spent more than 30 minutes, one on one, going over my medical history and was steadfast in his pursuit of details regarding my health. He's also a bit of a rare find in that he possesses a very keen sense of listening. Furthermore, while the results of my bloodwork were good and unloaded into the patient's portal the following morning, Dr. Smiddy had an associate call me just to reassure me that everything was fine, which is a courtesy I've not experienced since patient records were put online. Highly recommended.

When requesting any help with medication refills over the phone, they will read a script to contact the pharmacy again to have them send over the request to get the refill and not allow you to speak to a nurse or doctor. They will not admit any errors or mistakes. Their webpage states, https://druidhillsprimarycare.com/coming-soon for Prescription information, This Page is Under Construction. When you have any additional questions for the doctors, you must make an appointment with the doctor as they will not call you. I am no longer a patient at this office after several years of issues with them as they were unwilling to realize the front office staff was not helping people.

After only two appointments and three visits (one visit was a blood work prequel to the following…read morephysical) I am confident that I have a new, reliable internist in Atlanta. Though the office is home to three medical doctors, I have only been seen by Dr. Michelle Evans and I have been very happy with her approach to working with me and with the ways that she has proposed to treat my recent bout of migraine headaches. Now, when it comes to scheduling appointments I am a little old-fashioned and I generally will do whatever I have to do to speak with a live person to set something up. However, this does not seem possible with Buckhead Internal Medicine and when it came time to schedule a physical and then to go in seeking medical treatment I have had to use their email-driven system of scheduling or to call the answering machine there and leave a detailed message regarding the nature of my request. I will admit, they make this system efficient and it works quickly and accurately; I need to get over my worn-out methods. They have always been super-prompt in responding to me and have worked with me very well to fit appointments into my somewhat hectic schedule. I really like Dr. Evans at BIM because she, as well as her assistants and colleagues, is very personable and thorough and neither over-treats or explores avenues that are just unlikely, expensive and unnecessary. In the past, numerous physicians have put me through extensive testing and a gauntlet of procedures that have provided nothing in the end. Today I was pleased to receive a shot and a small prescription that should nip what is most likely ailing me early on so that I can back in working order almost instantly. In addition, parking is always available, though for a fee, and the fact that they are located on the Piedmont Hospital campus allows them to provide quick services to patients that might not be so readily available were they located further away from such a large variety of medical service providers.

I have both Dr. Gibbons and Dr. Monahhan as my physicians, and I couldn't be happier! They are both very knowledgeable, attentive, and they make you feel very comfortable throughout your entire visit. The office uses an electronic method to communicate and share lab results, and I think it is very effective and helpful. It's called Mychart. I've been able to also communicate directly with my physicians regarding any problems or concerns. The staff is very nice as well. In addition, I can request prescription refills, check my lab results, and look over what was discussed during my visit. I love it! Very convenient!! I absolutely love my physicians and I am very happy that I have finally found my primary doctors! Thank you Dr. Gibbons and Dr. Monahann!!
