For the last week- my pharmacy and I have been trying to contact the office to get a prescription refill (Nexium- which I have been taking for almost 30 years). My pharmacy, Express Scripts, contacted them over a week ago and I have submitted prescription refill requests online at least 3 times. I finally called and left a message (because there is no way to talk to anyone) inquiring as to why my prescription has not been refilled. I finally received a call stating that they were rejecting my refill request because I needed to come in for an office visit in order to get it refilled. They kept rejecting the request but did not have the decency to contact me to let me know. I mentioned that there is still currently a pandemic and since this is a standard medicine, why can't they just refill? It has been just over 1 year since my last visit (and a pandemic is still very active) but they insist I come into the office. No offer for tele-medicine, no offer to extend the prescription until the pandemic is more under control. In the meantime, I am running out of medicine and left to scramble to find a new doctor.
