My three children have been with ABCD for 7 years and have always had a great experience. As a nurse, I can appreciate the care and education that their staff still provides even with all the hectics and buzziness that the medical field has. Even if I cannot see our personal pediatrician for a sick visit, I have had to see another doctor in that clinic or stone oak and all of their pediatricians and NPs have been excellent . We were patients of Dr. Simone that was absolutely extroardinary in her care but moved away. We are now with Dr. Maclaren and he has been great as well. read more

As a parent, this was one of the most frustrating and heartbreaking experiences I've had. My son had a 9:00 AM appointment with Dr. McLaren at ABCD Pediatrics Schertz. I was told his prescription was sent to Walgreens but when I got there around 11:30 AM, there was nothing. I spent the entire day calling the clinic and their main line, trying to get answers. No one answered the office phone. The main line confirmed no prescription had ever been sent. I called again and again, hoping someone would finally take action. My son was sick, uncomfortable, and waiting for relief. Hours passed. The prescription wasn't sent until after 4:00 PM more than seven hours later. No parent should have to fight this hard just to get basic care for their child. It felt like we were completely ignored. I'm deeply disappointed and truly hurt by the lack of urgency or compassion shown today. read more

We've been coming to this office for nearly five years, but after our experience yesterday, we've decided it's time to move on. The struggles started when their system changed, and while we were patient, things have only gotten worse. This particular office has mostly kind front-desk staff, unlike the Stone Oak location, which feels unwelcoming. However, the lack of consistency in providers and care has been frustrating--my children have seen four different doctors due to staff turnover. The wait times are long, we're required to fill out paperwork at every visit and I'm not talking about milestone forms but address, phone number, email and new consent form during every visit (which we've never experienced elsewhere), and getting in touch with someone when there's an issue is nearly impossible. Yesterday we had an appointment with Dr. McCalen (I think that was his name). After waiting an hour in the exam room, we were finally seen. To be fair, he was very kind and informative, no issues there. However, when it came to prescribing medication for my daughter's double ear infection, he chose one that was extremely difficult to find. My daughter was in a lot of pain, and I wanted her to start antibiotics as soon as possible, rather than risk the infection worsening. I called over 30 pharmacies, and none had the medication in stock. I contacted the doctor's office to request a different prescription, but the response was vague--they said they had sent a message to the doctor and that either I or the pharmacy might receive a call. Hours passed with no update. I called again, expressed my frustration, and asked if another provider could step in to resolve the issue. I got the impression that no one was prioritizing this, so I took matters into my own hands. We ended up doing a telehealth visit with a new doctor, where the provider promptly prescribed a different antibiotic that we were able to get that night. Meanwhile, ABCD Pedatrics finally called back today --only to tell me to keep calling around for the original prescription. The lack of communication and urgency from this office was unacceptable, especially when dealing with a sick child. Paid an 20 copay and drove out of the way all to have a nightmare of a day try to get this situation resolved. After years of frustration, this was the final straw. We won't be returning read more

Absolutely do not take your child here! I took my boy here for a while and had serious concerns about my son having seizures. The provider did give me a referral for test to be done way across town but failed to do her part and submit an authorization. My son(3yrs) was scheduled twice for the STAT orders that she placed and both time I had to reschedule due to the lack of urgency to complete the authorization. I called the office, my insurance and the imaging facility for two weeks trying to help mitigate the issue and get the authorization. I requested a call from the provider on three different occasions, a call from the office manager on two different occasions, and called the rude ass front house staff over 15 times trying to help them help me get this test for my child and still have not received a call back till this day! I have sent messages on the patient portal with no response from no one in the office! I really had faith in the provider as she was nice during the visit but the front house staff is TRASH!! And after this Experience I will never bring my son Back! I do not respect the blatant disregard for patient care and communication from this facility and will not recommend to anyone!! read more

My kids have been patients of Dr. Simone for over 10 years. I love the care that my kids have received. The only issue is the disorganization and lack of communication between the front office and scheduling and billing departments. I've been thru changes of several different front office staff and they all have been terrible. read more

We've been established patients for almost 9 years and at the beginning it was wonderful. Low wait times and visits that were timely and managed. We have tried to see Dr.Rosado and Dr.Hernández to both start and follow up with for behavioral health for my sons ADD. Both times we waited over an hour. Luckily today I had my mother with me waiting in the car with my other children. I had to leave at the hour mark because I had to go to work. I get things are different with COVID now. But it's really frustrating being a working parent and trying to advocate for your child only to have to wait for the doctor to decide they're ready to see your child. read more

Drs are great, but front desk staff is horrible! They don't answer phones, mix up your appointments, then make you to show up 15 mins early (regardless if all your information is all up to date, but make you wait forever to be seen! Ridiculous! Place has gone downhill! read more

Doctors are really nice only issue is they've lost my children's shot records and was confused about what shots to give my kids they also never have appointments when needed especially when kids are sick or just got out of the hospital on top of that their phone system completely sucks they've been saying for the last two years that they're going to get help and re-organized but they haven't read more

My child has come here since 2010 as a preemie. Her primary doctor was Dr. Guerra who is amazing, patient, and gentle. His popularity eventually made it difficult to get short-notice appointments so we began seeing Dr. Simone. She is fantastic as well. My daughter loves seeing her and has never once been fearful about visiting. She's seen other doctors in the practice as well for sick visits. Only one left me with a bad impression, but it was a personality thing, not a medical competence thing. As the practice has expanded, I can definitely see the doctors under a little more strain and the wait times are quite a bit longer than in the past. But overall, I have been extremely happy with the care my child has received. read more

We have been in Cibolo and visited the Schertz location many times since Oct of 17. We like the hours they are open. I don't think we have seen the same doctor more than 2x though, and once we saw a PA that I was not impressed with. The majority of the doctors we have seen have been great, taking the time to explain what is going on with my child's illness or issue. There has only been 1x that they could not "fit us in" so I went to an urgent care (on the weekend though!). If you are new make sure to book a well checkup or you will not be able to get a sick visit. I do recommend ABCD. :) read more

Overall this office is average. The receptionist staff isn't overly helpful or friendly. Same to be said for the nurses. However, Dr. Guerra has been amazing. He goes above and beyond and is very caring. He takes the time to be nice with my kids, explains things in detail, listens to everything I have to say and makes me feel at ease with treatments. Both of my boys (10 & 13 months) see Dr. Diaz De Leon and have been for over a year and a half now. He is great with my kids and always answers any questions I have for him. He's very informative and never seems to be rushed. I highly recommend him and any doctor at this practice. read more

This practice has moved to a new building on FM 3009 Roy Richards Dr. I am new to the Schertz area and have only visited this office once for an establishment visit and part 2 of his flu shot for my 8 month old son. I was made to feel very welcome by the front office staff and the nurses. They were actually able to squeeze me in with Dr. Simone the afternoon that I turned in my paperwork even though I hadn't made an appointment. Dr. Simone was delightful! She answered a few questions I had with expertise and great patience, and even drew me a diagram to explain it. She told me the different options for addressing the concern I was having and explained her reasons for her recommendation, but left the final decision to me. I'm excited to have found a pediatrician that is such a good match to my personality and that is so good with my son. read more

I have been taking my daughter to ABCD pediatrics since she was a newborn. Dr Guerra has always seen her and she absolutely loves him. There have been 2 times when she has been sick that other doctors had to see her but the level of customer service remained the same. He always explains to my daughter exactly what he's doing.. why he is checking her and what he is looking for. Which always makes her feel at ease. She is only 6 years old and he always helps keep her calm by explaining his every step. I like how he always has little conversations with her. She always gets excited to see him and talks nonstop but he does not get annoyed at all. They have always been good about getting my daughter in when she is sick. For well visits appointments usually have to be scheduled weeks in advance.. But they are so awesome that I don't mind. I definitely recommend this office because the pediatricians are all wonderful! read more

Absolutely love this whole practice! We've had a couple different doctors and everyone has been amazing. In the hospital a doctor from the stone oak office came and checked on us and he was super nice. Then when we got with our primary, Dr. Simone she was amazing. We're so lucky have her, definitely recommend Dr. Simone! She's insanely smart, extremely compassionate and so sweet to my little man. This review is for ABCD pediatrics in Schertz. My daughter was a patient since she was 2 years old until today, she is now 9 years old. When she was younger we had more frequent visits for sick visits and immunization. As she got older the visits were less frequent since she wasn't getting sick and did not need any shots. I called today to make an appointment because my daughter was running a fever and they told me that because we have not been in for 3 years, we are now considered a new patient and at the moment they do not accept new patients. I was also told that if I did a once a year wellness exam I would have remained as a patient. This is absolutely ridiculous! We did not go to the doctor because she has not been sick. Why would I go to the doctor to pay $60 only so they can look at her and tell me she is healthy, I am basically paying $60 a year to keep my "membership" to the doctor! My son has been a patient at ABCD Pediatrics for years - he is now 17 years old. The staff has always been courteous and friendly. Very easy to get an appointment and the wait time is not bad at all. Dr. Schlosberg is the BEST! He has a great rapport with my son and takes the time at every appointment to answer our questions and makes sure my son know that he can call him whenever he has something he needs to talk about.
