I think the best thing about Armstrong is that they still have pony packs, meaning six packs of plants. If you go to the big box stores now you can only buy one plant at a time for instance if I want a basil plant I can get six of them in a pony packet Armstrong whereas I would have to pay almost as much for just one at the big box stores. They have San Marzano tomato plants in the springtime. Need I say more? Those are very difficult to find! Every year they give away free ladybug and sometimes free praying mantis that certain times of the year. Armstrong has been here for a long time and I'm very happy they are still here. If you are a senior be sure to ask for the senior discount. They will discount you every time.

It was our first time here and we took in the great views, purchased some homegrown honey (small oz for $7) and a small tree for our home (less than five ft cost is $17.50/per foot). The staff was very friendly and Luis made the experience even more memorable! He let my husband and son cut down our tree. Then walked us through their process of shaking the tree and tying it up for easier transportation.
