When install day finally came in August, the doors were the wrong size, and the delays just kept piling up. In October, I'd had enough, fired the big box store, and called Building Material Outlet. In just 10 days, our custom doors were ordered to our exact specifications and ready for pickup. Roger and the whole BMO team were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and the timeline they gave us was spot on to the day. If you're renovating along the Emerald Coast, skip the runaround and go straight to BMO. We'll be back for our next project!

My experience... Walk into sales office @ 4:19 pm Friday 27…read moreMarch. The following transpires: "Captain Joe" (or CJ played by a pissy old dude with an attitude): You have 11 minutes before we close. Me (well me of course): This probably won't take that long. I'm looking for some redwood. CJ (still with a pissy attitude): Well what dimensions? Me: 2x2's, 1x3's (and as I start to say 1x2's)...and 1x2's CJ (interrupting): Nope, nope, and nope. We don't have any of that. Me: Well what do you have? CJ: 2x4's and 4x4's. Me: Can you cut it? CJ: Nope. OSHA won't let us. They don't sell lumber and we don't cut it. Maybe in California you can find that size. We're the only ones who sell redwood in this area. Me: I was told that there is a saw mill on Highway 90 just past Milton that sells it and also I was told that Meredith and Son's sell it too. I thought I'd try your place first. CJ (with an even bigger attitude) Well that saw mill... Me (cutting him off, I had had enough): Well you seem to have a real attitude about this so I will just go somewhere else. I walk out of the sales office to my car. Get in the car, start the car and notice that the "Captain" has followed me outside. As I back out of the parking space he is motioning me to roll down my window. I don't and wave him off saying that I will take my business elsewhere. It's doubtful he heard me say this, since the window was not down but I certainly heard him yell out to me "to hell with you" as I drove away. Draw your own conclusions but if my life depended on purchasing a piece of lumber and "Captain Joe" had the last piece of wood from the last tree on Earth I would just as soon die. A world without trees would suck anyway so I'd be ok with it...

What kind of management do you guys allow here??!! I will NEVER come back to the store Not because of the dirty store or the broken fridge I bought but because of the people. Called Kaliey; she was not at the desk associate looked at it and saw one fence panel as well, so now adding that in, raising the estimate by 800.00 dollars from the 1.000 she quoted us. So we go for an estimate for a 4ft fence. After waiting for family emergencies, leaving early, and the hurricane, she calls and apologizes. She gives us a new estimate over the phone, not in writing, sets us up to get an installation price, and then we get the estimate sent to my husband, and it is for a chain link fence around my yard over 7.000 ft when the whole time she was told we wanted the iron gate euro and metal bars and 32 linear ft total the man who was suppose to do the estimate Tuesday gave us a 3 hour time frame to do a virtual estimate and never called we were suppose to stare at our phone for 3 hours to know when he was trying to reach us I guess. Now he is supposed to do it tomorrow as well. We need a fence first before anyone can put it up. We've been using Lowe's for a long time, but thanks to this circus show with Pro Desk and asking to speak to the manager while waiting, the call gets dropped. He is on his way, then I call back, and he is busy. Supposed to be a manager named Sean, most likely customer service, trying to protect Kailey, who has no business behind a desk with pro in it. There are zero professional skills there, like a cashier who cannot count back change without the register telling her how much fun waste of two weeks how depo my family will be going to Home Depot as a retired store owner they should be embarrassed.
