We were married March 2nd, 2010 and we couldnt have picked a better place to be married. Everything was perfect. Except dont expect to get your deposit back unless you hire a cleaning crew that will cost you just about the same amount as the deposit. They should call it a cleaning fee not a deposit. My husband and I stayed until 12am cleaning up the mess our selves in our wedding attire. Then once we got everything cleaned up we were told we also have to take all the trash to the dumpsters half a mile away. So we didnt make it to our honeymoon cabin till 3am and I ruined my dress with trash because of this. For the price they should DEFINITELY have included a cleaning fee. I only write this so that other couples can expect to not get there deposit back or hire a cleaning crew. Either way I felt that we had the best wedding ever.

For some reason, it reminded me of Hawaii with its setup. We came here for a birthday party (cousin's wife's cousin's daughter...I hope I got that right). I felt like a little kid having fun exploring the nooks and crannies of the grounds, but I didn't have the chance to see the rest of the place. A walkway built for couples surrounds the perimeter of this beautiful lagoon. Actually, I think the walkways are just wide enough for Skipper to walk through. Sorry, Gilligan. Benches, huts, a firepit for toasting S'mores, tiki torches, and various live tropical foliage embellish your journey throughout the vast walkway. I remember hearing another party next door, but wasn't sure if it was within Corona Yacht Club's domain or a neighboring competitor. They have two bathrooms for women and one for men, which would be along the path to your left once you enter the main hall... in case you realize that the 10 freeway was much much longer than you expected. I didn't make it and had to go at a gas station. All of their staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food on the other hand, was average, but I enjoyed their mini-burgers and chicken quesadillas. I think they may have gone through a vendor for this, so I can't have that impact my review that much. The open bar made my night, but dancing on the dock over the lake and constant laughing with family and friends guaranteed that I had a night to remember. Party on little buddy. Party on. *A Note on Directions: After exiting Dillon Rd on the 10 Freeway you'll make a right onto Dillon Road, then a QUICK left onto Vista Del Sur. If you pass the gentleman's club, you've gone too far. We got lost trying to look for (in English) View of the South. Once on Vista Del Sur though, you can then make a right onto Tyler Street. The place is on the left side. You're welcome. P.S. Here's their website, which I noticed wasn't listed at the top: http://www.coronayachtclub.com/

We had such a fun and unique stay at Lazy C Ranch! It's tucked away right along the mountains, so…read moreyou really get that peaceful, western ranch feel, but you're still just a short drive from downtown Palm Springs and everything there is to do. We came with a big group of families and stayed in several of the different casitas throughout the property, which was honestly perfect. We basically had our own little ranch getaway! Each casita had separate bedrooms, a full kitchen and living room, so there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable. The kids absolutely LOVED all the animals! There are horses, donkeys, goats, rabbits and more, and guests can interact with, pet and sometimes even ride the animals. One morning, the ranch manager took all of our kids around to visit the animals and gave each of them food and carrots to feed them. They had the best time and thought it was the coolest thing! The pool area was probably one of my favorite parts of the property. The pool was the perfect temperature and the setting is gorgeous -- there's a huge natural boulder right alongside it and the mountains are basically your backdrop. There are cabanas for lounging and a long shaded table where our whole group could sit together and eat meals. It was such a pretty, relaxing spot. And then there's the SALOON! Such a fun touch and definitely a hit with our group. It has western-style saloon doors, a bar area, an air-conditioned game room with pool tables, and picnic tables outside. We spent a lot of time hanging out there. There's also a fire pit by the main ranch house where the kids made s'mores at night, which was the perfect way to end the day. This is such a great place for families or groups traveling together who want something different from the typical Palm Springs hotel experience. You really feel like you've escaped to a little mountain/cowboy ranch, while still being close enough to downtown to go out to dinner, shop, or explore. The kids had a blast, the adults got to relax, and having so much of the ranch to ourselves made the whole weekend even more special. Such a hidden gem in Palm Springs!!

We both had king sized beds with huge closets and a bathroom to share between the bedrooms. The small seating area with couch and a small dining table with 4 chairs was between the bedrooms in front of the bathroom. The kitchenette included a medium sized fridge/freezer and sink with a Keurig coffee maker. It would have been better if they added a small microwave as well, I felt it was the only thing missing. My room with the balcony facing the street also had a wireless charger and sound machine. What a great touch. My friend took the front bedroom with the view of the pool. Both bedrooms had TVs and ceiling fans. The robes were also perfect! I brought my own hotel slippers. Pool area lacked a little bit more of shade but that's a personal preference. It's so nice that the pool and hot tub was open 24/7! The pool bar is so nice to have for a smaller resort like this. It definitely made our experience better! We didn't get to try the restaurant on site but will definitely check it out next time because we're already planning our next stay! Shout out to Sierra for being such a sweet hostess!

This was the proposed hotel for a friend's birthday weekend. Based on the photos, it didn't appear…read moreto be a place we needed to be particularly concerned about--it looked like it would at least meet the basic necessities for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the experience was far below even those expectations. After a long drive, we arrived for check-in and were told that the AC in our suite was not working and that we would instead be placed in separate rooms. Since we were traveling together, we were not comfortable being separated. The front desk associate was also extremely rude and told us that because the manager had moved us, she could not place us in another room comparable to what we originally booked. She said the only option was separate one-bedroom rooms. We asked to speak with the manager, and once he became involved, he immediately instructed the front desk to put us into another room--apparently a two-bedroom room was available after all. I'm still not sure why we were initially told that wasn't an option. Unfortunately, the problems continued once we got into the room. I found visible stains on the sheets, and there was a large, dark footprint on one of the supposedly fresh towels. I have stayed in hotels, Airbnbs, and even on cruise ships, and I have never experienced a situation where the basic linens provided were visibly dirty. I immediately reported the sheets and towel to the staff. When the sheets were finally replaced, the replacement set was also dirty. At that point, I gave up and slept on top of the sheet rather than continuing to ask for replacements. They also only provided one sheet, so I had to wear additional clothes that I had packed with my pajamas just to stay warm. The response time was also frustrating. It took roughly an hour from when the issue was reported for someone to come replace the sheets. I also saw the staff member carrying the linens by hand rather than using a cart, and the linens appeared to be coming up from the stairs, which did not exactly give me confidence in the cleanliness or handling of the bedding. Then there was the hot water--or lack thereof. We essentially had COLD WATER for our showers. This was not an isolated issue; other members of our group staying at the property experienced the same problem. Over our three-to-four-day stay, there was maybe one hot shower available between the three of us. Hot water is a basic expectation at a hotel, and having consistently cold showers was completely unacceptable. I previously worked in property management, and a lack of hot water would be treated as an emergency maintenance issue. That made it even more concerning to see this treated as though it were a minor inconvenience. I have stayed at properties throughout the U.S. and internationally, as well as on cruise ships, and I have never experienced this combination of issues during a stay. We dealt with a room change due to broken AC, dirty sheets, dirty towels, inadequate linen replacement, extremely slow response to a cleanliness issue, and essentially no hot water. This was supposed to be a birthday weekend, and instead, we spent a significant portion of the stay dealing with issues that should have been resolved before guests ever entered the room. The experience fell well below what I consider basic hotel standards, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Both my husband and I found it such a repulsive smell that we immediately left. We called Jermey and told him the problem. He agreed to give us a refund. The next time we communicated he retracted his offer, and said his cleaning ladies didn't smell anything so he was going to keep 1 night fee for "cancelling at the last minute". I reminded him we didn't cancel, the unit was unfit for us to occupy. It is clear they never wash the comforter, it had white stains all over it! I think a local motel would probably smell better than this place. And Jeremy is highly dissatisfying and disappointing to deal with. Huge waste of money! **As you can clearly see the type of person Jeremy is by his response to this review. He is grasping at straws trying to defend the smell in his unit! Nobody ever said there was a dog smell, it was a wet, musty "human to human contact smell" to put it nicely. This was supposed to be a night time getaway for my husband and I, as we were spending the days at a house not far away with friends and family. To be clear we had 2 occupants for the room. And he maliciously stocks me on the Internet to get these type of theories? This man is crazy! Maybe Jeremy needs to wash his comforters once and a while so he wouldn't get reviews like this.

The grounds were clean, which was so nice. Having grass to be on was great. There are also cabanas around the pool, which all had power. I think if you have four people, the cabana is full. Two is perfect. The pool is a nice long plaster pool it could use a scrub, but it looked great. What I really liked, aside from the staff, was that it's a big enough space to not feel crowded at all. I think we had a little over 100 people and there were no places that felt cramped. They could benefit from more seating. There were nice chairs by the pool, but many people ended up on towels, in the nice grass area. That would have been ok, but they could also use more umbrellas. The place has a good casual vibe and I definitely recommend it for large parties. The only drawback was the sparse seating and shade. Do, bring a couple umbrellas and enjoy the park like setting.

We visited Palm Desert to see our St. Louis CITY Soccer Club (SC) play Austin in pre-season MLS soccer at the Coachella Valley Invitational Tournament. This was a late-planned trip, and my wonderful wife was still able to pull off getting us into our favorite Marriott Vacation Club property - Shadow Ridge in Palm Desert. Every trip before this one we have stayed in the same building near the entrance; this was our first time staying in The Enclaves, the buildings located further back in the property, the ones with a more noticeable adobe-like southwestern motif. Being only three of us, we stayed in the studio, which is a one-bedroom with a pull-our sofa; then kitchen has counter space, but less than the master suite (no island / no wrap-around counter), and place settings for four; there is a small dishwasher. There is a coffee machine with a carafe (a pot at a time not a cup at a time). The room is laid out well and has good decorations. Our room happened to face south, so we could get some sun on the patio. We were also next to the Snakebites pool and enjoyed sun there - pool, cornhole, table tennis / ping-pong, and more. We have been visiting Shadow Ridge more often the past couple years, and that is a good thing, for doses of vitamin D from the sun, and from the relaxation we always feel when we are there. On this trip, I did work a couple days, too, and the Business Center in the lobby has much counter space and power plugs that could support 3-5 people working in there; though conf calls would be a noise challenge in such a setup; I was in there solo and was quite productive. See you soon, Shadow Ridge! ----- ----- -----
