My Daughter started in 2012 at the age of 1yrs old. My son has flourished at this center, he is top of his 1st grade class and even recently was tested for the gifted/challenge program, many thanks to the amazing staff and owner at Kid City!! My son was reading at a 1st grade level at age 4yrs old, due to the ongoing high standards of teaching. My daughter who was very antisocial and shy when she started at kid city, has grown to be a social butterfly, she has many friends and many of them have been attending since she started at age 1yr. She loves going and she has very strong relationships with the staff as well. It's like a family there! If you want amazing care and a loving environment for your kiddos you should consider Kid City. I feel blessed to have my kids at Kid City!

The teachers put genuine effort into making each class engaging and nurturing, and Dr. Jun's passion for education is evident in the way she connects with children and families. There are a number of positive adjectives I could use to describe how welcoming and hard working she is, but they would probably come short of actuality. She makes childcare a top priority. Thanks again to people like Jackie for helping be a constructive person in child learning!

Well, My princess daughter starts last year in the preschool and I'm very thankful and appreciate their work, the way they teach the kids, The activities they plan, the room they decorate, and their friendships-- it's all incredible, and it's helping our daughter (and us!) believe that school is fun, which is incredibly important. My daughter will be in kindergarten next year, and she's ready for that, she can write her name and trying to read full word too in addition to counting and art etc. The preschool have fun classes every week like music, dance and happy feet class and monthly programs like parent night out, or a special visitor like the book mobile or a magician or baby kangaroo and horses (they will come in the next two days). This preschool is cool and very special Thanks for everything!

Starbright is like a second home…read more My son started back during COVID when we were very unhappy with his care center and how they were handling things (combining classrooms, being lazy in taking precautions, etc). We took a tour with Starbright and instantly felt at ease. You could tell they clearly cared so much about the kids, keeping everyone safe, and remaining as normal as you can during an abnormal time. My son attended until he went to kindergarten. My daughter has been there since she was an infant. It's a terrible day when you drop off your baby and go back to work, but it's much less terrible when you know that your child is going to be taken care of by incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and kind teachers. Ms. Pam has been there for over 20 years, and she is wonderful. Our daughter will be heading off to kindergarten in the fall, and it will be so sad to say our goodbyes at the end of August. We have loved each teacher for the way they have helped both of my kids develop into the beautiful, caring people they are today. My kids are different people, with their individual personalities, and both have been able to grow and flourish into incredible versions of themselves. Ms. Melissa is the Pre-K teacher for my daughter, and this class is incredible. My daughter has learned so much since being in this class. The way Ms. Melissa makes learning fun and creative and engages the kids is remarkable. Sidenote: I have attended a few field trips over the years, and I will say every single time we arrive somewhere, the first thing I hear is how much they love Starbright kids because they are so well-behaved and have such great manners. Lastly, Lexie and Jen are incredible, and like family. They know every single child's name, parents' name, and have a story to tell you about something that your kid did that week. I always appreciate communication via email when something changes, and the willingness to talk and find a resolution if there is a concern. They keep things running smoothly, and they truly care about every child that comes through. We will forever be grateful to Starbright. I have tears just writing this.

The boss babe, Jen, she listened and took action anytime it was needed and did her best to make your requests made- EVEN THROUGH the hardest times of the pandemic. I was so sad to pull my son out of after only being there for 6 months because I REALLY loved how they loved and cared for my son. But he started to feel unsafe and would cry and fight going. When I asked why, he would tell me the name of one teacher who just made him feel unsafe. I came to learn that anytime my son had to be around Ms. Nevi that he would do what he could to leave the immediate area. I also noticed little things that she would say or do didn't always add up. I cherish the memories we have from Starbright and was really looking forward to my second baby going there- but I couldn't continue to keep my son in a place with a teacher that he would scream in discomfort about.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful and it looks like there are fun activities that happen. The reason I'm leaving three stars is because the infant room is closed so frequently. We've been at KinderCare since November and have had to find alternative care so many times. I think everyone is doing the best they can, but it is hugely inconvenient when this happens so often. The infant room frequently seems to be the first one closed due to staffing shortages. I get that this makes sense from logistical standpoint as it displaces the fewest families, but when you are one of the families getting displaced over and over again, it can make things really challenging. If you need consistently available care/don't have much flexibility with work, I don't know that this would be a good fit for your family. I'm hopeful that things will get better soon now that we're getting out of cold season, or that some sort of substitute plan could be put into place.

They have recently changed their tuition rates and teacher-to-child ratio, so hopefully this helps with future staffing. They handled the COVID restrictions pretty well at the time (restrictions have been lifted recently). The daycare only had to shut down once. They alerted us quickly and the symptomatic child did not spread it to my daughter (she was in very close contact with her). My daughter loves her teachers and friends. She will soon be leaving since she is moving on to kindergarten. She is well prepared for it but will be sad to leave. My 2 year old son is enrolled to start in a week so there's a nice transition and I will still have a child there. I expect my son to be well cared for as usual. The teachers are so caring but I also feel so confident about sending her to kindergarten in a few months. She has come so far learning how to write her name, letters, numbers, counting, drawing and coloring, and selfishly I love how she picks up after herself when playing at home! They do such fun crafts, stem projects, she has brought home plants before and one year they made a homemade peppermint soap for Christmas. So cool! They have a great balance of learning inside but also lots of time outside! They have an indoor play area too which is nice when it's super rainy outside. The director, Christina, is very mean and has no patience for any thing that requires special care . She gets annoyed very easily and shows zero compassion for parents with a special needs child. Unwilling to accommodate my son's dietary needs and yet, I can not pack him his own lunch from home. If everything doesn't go as planned, which with a toddler this is a usual occurrence. The director is, in my opinion, not someone who can handle special needs children and does not have patience, directed specifically toward the parents. I will not be taking my son here and hope parents with special needs children read this berfor going through what i just endured. Even the employees are rude and they do not seem to care about making me feel comfortable with them, which is important since i am leaving my son with them for a length of time. His first day they had lost my son's teddy bear, which he takes everywhere with him and when i asked about it, they replied with an attitude saying "a teddy bear?" "What teddy bear?"... it was a condescending rude tone and even before then, I was trying to talk to one of the girls and she walked away when I was speaking to her about my son. I do not feel they have the caring, compassion rgat is needed to run a daycare. Very strict, cold and not at all a place I would want my son to go to.

The ELC is set up in two parts - daycare and preschool. Daycare is for ages 1 and 2, and then the kids move up to preschool for ages 3-5. My son began attending daycare at the ELC just after his first birthday. He is now moving over to the ELC's preschool and my younger son is starting their preschool this month. I could not imagine entrusting anyone else with my children. I really feel as though my son's teacher is a partner in our parenting. She is a wealth of knowledge and I have learned so much from her. My son absolutely adores her. The ELC also has regular parenting classes on topics ranging from nutrition to discipline. Since the kids didn't come with instruction manuals, I really appreciate having an extra resource to help me be a better parent. I just LOVE the ELC and highly recommend it to anyone needing care for a child age 1-5!
