Everyone was so friendly. So helpful. My friend was picking fabrics for a small wall hanging. This is her first foray into civil war, reproduction fabrics. Caroline was so enthusiastic, it was inspiring to watch. She explained what she was thinking and looking for in her color choices. I bought three kits. I never, ever buy kits. But Denver Fabrics, long my go-to and most beloved source, closed long ago. I found this place online after searching for a specific type of fabric. They do have a brick-and-mortar location. However, ordering online is easy, and the prices (discounted from retail) are VERY good. Most of the fabrics that I bought were $10/yard! Shipping is both reasonably priced and fast. They have a vast selection of fabrics, including home decor, upholstery, and outdoor. I specifically searched for upholstery fabric by color, and found several. I also bought fabric to make a duvet cover. My only complaint about their website is that the pictures can't be enlarged by much. I solved this by screenshotting the fabrics, cropping, and then saving to my pictures, where I could enlarge them with ease. Also, they don't list the fabric content. I accidentally ordered four yards of fabric that turned out to be burlap and chenille. This is why enlarging the pictures is helpful. I'll use it for a window seat, maybe. Or line a trunk. It's too casual for a formal dining room. Maybe curtains, idk.

This machine is a true workhorse compared to my old Singer! It's robust motor powers through my slipcover project with ease. It's like driving a Maserati after owning a Yugo for 33 years! My one and only request would be for more home sewing feet attachments. I'd love to see feed dog covers and a free form quilting foot attachment. I'm "sew" happy with my new Ultrafeed!! We have had several custom pieces of furniture made for our home by the talented folks at the pumpkin patch. The quality and durability and, of course, the beauty of these pieces are unmatched. We would pay twice as much to have anything custom made by a Carpender in the Detroit area. (I am not exaggerating. We had something designed and priced out.) The similar pieces we found in retail stores were either more expensive than prices at the pumpkin patch or were neither as beautiful nor as well-made. If we lived closer, we would get more of our furniture from the pumpkin patch. The desk/dresser made for our son will last him a lifetime and hopefully become a family heirloom. Highly, highly recommend!
