It was busy and at the same time clean and orderly. It had been years since my last shopping experience and I noticed that not much had changed... Until seeing that clothing was tagged by size.. meaning a size SM would have "S" and so on for a tag. General prices were listed on placards... Much easier than going through a rack, finding something awesome only to find out it's definitely not in your size range! So anyway I picked up a few what I feel are really nice items..and even better the tag being the color of the week - 50% off. I moved on to housewares and poked around some. I really was just browsing more than looking for anything in particular. My eyes caught some bakeware items that looked the perfect size for what I use.. so inspecting it I saw they were all " new" and Chantal .. even better the sticker on them was the 50% off color of the week. So I chose just 1 and tossed it into my cart. Checkout went very quickly. I found any of the staff I interacted with to be friendly and helpful. I felt perfectly safe shopping - people kept their distance..some masked and others were not which is the case now at the time of this writing. Its a haul for me but with the incredible deals I got I'm already planning my next visit!

There are also no bathrooms open to the public. So if you decide to go make sure to dress in a way that would best accommodate trying clothes on over them. I found great items but when I tried them on I had issues putting them on with my clothes on (even if they might work if I didn't have clothes on, I ended up getting nothing)

Updating because I just do not get it. They hired a new jewelry person and they are pricing things…read moreWAY TOO HIGH. I went in today and saw a brooch with almost all the rhinestones missing, priced at $24.99. I asked the jewelry person if there's any way they could give me a better price because of the missing stones, and she said "no because someone will buy that just for the silver." What she doesn't understand is that 1.) sterling isn't worth all THAT much--it's not gold; and 2.) that brooch was made of MAYBE 2 grams of sterling, which would be worth about $2. I mean, this woman was putting regular old beat-up Alex & Ani bracelets in the locked case....I'm not normally able to make it to this Savers during the work day, but I made time for it today because I wanted to see who was doing this. I've spoken to the manager about the jewelry pricing and he said he agreed and that management was planning on speaking to her about prices being too high....that was at the end of January....i mentioned it again and he basically said they were trying to convince her to lower the prices. Convince her?!? She's an employee. Am I crazy, or should she do what management tells her to do......?! Also: I have seen almost ZERO gold/gold-plated/gold-filled jewelry in the case since the new year when she started. That leads me to believe that whatever gold is coming in is getting "lost"...... It's no wonder I've seen the same jewelry in the case for over a month. Their jewelry sales must not be great now, and I bet they have TONS of jewelry just piling up and piling up and piling up. It's a real shame that people who can't afford to buy decent jewelry new can't even afford it used now. I miss the last jewelry lady--she didn't give the jewelry away, but she also understood the importance of providing treasures that make the hunt worthwhile.

For dorm supplies like bed risers, notebooks, whiteboards for your dorm room, etc., the Clark…read morethrift store is a great place to go. I've found some basic kitchen stuff here, but I've also noticed that a lot of their pots and pans are really scratched up and not in good condition. Staff/volunteers do a nice job of styling the mannequins, but I've hardly bought any clothes from this thrift store, and I thrift for all my clothes. I haven't really found any amazing finds here. No really nice brands. It seems like cheap college kid clothes. I am a Clark student and know that the store gets many donations from its students around move out day, so maybe then is a better time to shop. The store also gets its donations from unclaimed laundry, so those clothes for sale are often clean, on the bright side.

Despite its size, this small shop seems to have amazing array of stuff including appliances and…read moretrendy new clothing. Apparently they get most of their donations from the university and the student there in, that explains why the clothing styles tend to be so modern. If you are looking for dorm goods or newer styled clothing than what you might see at most thrift stores I would recommend checking here first.

The shop has a large number of vendors, some of whom I am friends with. Unfortunately, the owner is very outspoken about their far-right politics on social media. It's distasteful when business owners are so vocal about their political views, regardless of the side they support. This shop is a thrift/antique market; who do they think their primary customer base is? In their post, they stated: "If you don't like this or don't agree with it. You already know there are other shops to choose from, or take your ass to Target" I sent a message suggesting they should be careful about publicly taking sides on political issues. I mentioned that I know some vendors there and that I would most likely not return. The owner's response: "No one asked you what you thought; we don't need you to return. You most definitely dont have any friends lol so have a good summer Karen." This is not how a business owner should behave, and it's incredibly toxic! While they are right that there are other places to shop in the area, actions like this likely lose more customers than they gain. When I stated that I would make sure others knew how he acted he then placed my image and information on blast on FB and Instagram for "his customers to decide" Of course adding a ton of far-right political nonsense where his equally toxic supporters added their thoughts.
