Beach taxi provides a decent alternative while you're in town and the bus system has failed you for the evening. Good, reliable service - and not too expensive if you're traveling within the city of Westport itself. Bear in mind that Beach Taxi *is* a mom-and-pop operation. One gentleman runs the only taxi, so you may have to wait up to fifteen minutes from your call time. Also, the driver has a slight slur to his speech. While this is a little off-putting when you first call him, I have used his taxi services several times and can vouch for him, well, not being drunk. He's actually a pretty nice guy. Anyway! Yes, it is possible to get around Westport at night if you have a few extra clams at your disposal.

My ride was scheduled for 4:30AM and we were told to be outside by 4:15AM. The driver never showed or called. I had to wake my 60 year old mother up at 5AM to catch a ride to Seattle. Then 5 hours after they were supposed to pick us up the people at Patty Wagon call to inform the us that they never showed. The woman gave the most apathetic apology and told us that reason her driver never showed was because he "confused AM with PM" and that going forward she would "make sure the drivers know the difference between AM and PM". This was the west experience I've ever had with a medical ride company BAR NONE.

Like her wallet, cell phone, clothes, and make up. My son's gf had a tracker on her phone so she tracked it and found that the taxi driver had tossed her things out of the taxi after he drove down the road away from the comfort inn. He was able to pick us up from our hotel within 30 minutes, and got us to the rental car agency the next town over for about half of what Uber had been quoting us for the same ride. The driver was friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and we could not have had a better experience. Definitely give them a call for a ride!
