I was looking online for a Sthil leaf blower and I found some that I could order online and wait for and then go pick up. I really did not want to wait, though. So I called Abbot's Pro Power. They had them in stock. I purchased a Sthil leaf blower and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and just plain good people. They answered all my questions and even helped me carry the equipment to the car. You can't get that when you order online. They even register your product for you. I came in later to get a small tire mounted to a wheel and they did it while I waited. It took all of 10 minutes. I highly recommend Abbot's Pro Power. read more

promises made and no results, I delivered my mower there for what I was told to be a quick fix for under or at $100 and take a week or so IN APRIL ITS NOW JULY and now when I call there is now answer!!!!!!!! We couldn't figure why our Toro mower wouldn't start. I dropped it off at Abbott's at the end of the day. Their Toro expert came out and looked at it and said he thought knew what's wrong with it from a quick look. He tore it down the next morning and confirmed the problem was what he thought it was. Dishonest and rude! We were quoted under $200 dollars to get a chain saw repaired. When I called to pay over the phoned I asked if it was worth $200 to repair and they said definitely as it was a $600 saw. They didn't want me to pay until it was finished. A week later, I called again to pay and to say we needed it the next day. The man who answered said, "you'll be lucky", laughed and hung up. When we picked up the saw the next day the bill had risen to $400. Double what was quoted! They stated it needed a few more things done and since I agreed on the phone to fix it they did. That is a lie! I agreed to under $200. They knew we needed the saw for a job and had no choice at that point! Completely dishonest and to top it off the saw runs like crap! read more

I won't shop here or have repairs done again. very,very back logged, don't like go elsewhere attitude and double the quoted prices AFTER fixing. way over priced and I know they have the high end equip than home Depot but absolutely no sense or reasonableness to negotiate prices to a reasonable level. Both the owner (name?) and the repair tech (Danny) provided excellent service. My Craftsman mower needed a new starter cord, related springs, etc. Abbott's completed my repair in 2 days and under my budget of $75 for this mower. For this price they also changed the oil and did a basic inspection of the mower. Danny the service tech was very knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant to work with. I decided to order some much needed parts for our Honda Lawn Mower, instead of buying a new one. Rosa answered the phone, I did not have part numbers, she looked everything up for me, returning my call so quickly, ordered 4 different items for me, they arrived a day before she promised, called to let me know. My husband picked them up and was able to get our old Lawn Mower up and running! All items were the correct parts. I would definitely call them again, as we got the best service ever!!! APP is a great locally owned business. I have visited them several times and they have always treated me well. For my last visit I need work done on an older Honda generator. They were able to track down parts and restore it to peak performance. The cost was very reasonable and I expect this generator to run another 20 years. read more

* I have a Honda Harmony II mower from Home Depot that needed a tune-up, blades sharpened and the clutch cable fixed because it did not pull forward when clutch handle was engaged. I took it in on 9/28/2010 around 11:00am. I talked to the short older stocky guy at the counter and told him what the problem was. We went out to my truck to get the mower, I started it up and showed him what was wrong. I asked him how long it would take to get fixed. He told me by Friday (10/01/10) I told him I would be in Fri to pick it up. I didn't get a chance to pick it up until Tues (10/5/10), I called and the lady who answered the phone told me she would see if it was finished, it turns out that they had not even worked on the mower, according to her. I wasn't too happy about that so I asked her how long before it would be fixed? I then talked to one of the mechanics and he said they would have to order a clutch cable and it would be in by Thurs (10/7/10) and it should be done by Friday (10/8/10). I then called them on Wednesday (10/13/10) and they told me they were still waiting for the part that was ordered!! I finally told them that I needed the mower and to put it back together, I was not going to wait any longer!! I was told originally when I took the mower in that it would be done in 3 days. It was still not done after 16 days! When I got home to mow the lawn I noticed that the throttle does not stay in one position now, it keeps moving from high to low by itself! I am willing to drive to San Jose or Hollister (I live in Morgan Hill) to have any work done on any of my power tools since I would NEVER go back to Abbott's Pro-Power in Gilroy again!!! Suggestion: If you do use Abbott's Pro-Power, make sure they can guarantee it will be done on the day promised and get it in writing, put in some kind of penalty clause for insurance. I guarantee you will not be satisfied!! Good Luck if you do!!?
