We stopped into Abbadabba's East Cobb to find our daughter a pair of comfortable, classic shoes she could wear for dressier weekly occasions, and we walked out with the perfect pair. I've shopped at this location before and have always had great experiences--especially with the Birkenstock shoes I've purchased for myself and for Nicole. Abbadabba's consistently carries higher‑end, eco‑friendly brands that are built for comfort, durability, and everyday wear. Their selection goes beyond footwear too; they also have some very nice women's dresses and attire that fit the same quality‑focused vibe. I called asking about a pair of Birkenstocks in a specific size and color. The kind lady told me over the phone that she'd hold them for me at the store. If I could put a zero star I would. I was not asked what I needed the lady said I have a mask for you. I told her I have a medical condition and she harassed me and followed me around, I will never be coming back. The fact that I had to explain my medical condition is against HIPPA. One of the worst things about breaking my foot last summer was that it changed shape ever so slightly when it healed. I didn't notice this until the weather warmed up this year and I put on my comfy Birkenstocks only to discover that the right shoe no longer fit. Molded to your feet shoes are great, until your foot shape-shifts, now I have to replace my Birkenstock collection...very depressing considering I used to work in a trail shop and sold Birks and got them below cost, it's tough to pay full price now :( Found Abbadabba's by doing a dealer search on Birkenstock.com and was really impressed with the brands showcased on their website. Their website could use a little help, but I'm more concerned with their knowledge of feet, not HTML...and besides, DSW's website is really snazzy but in my opinion that store shouldn't even be allowed to sell Birkenstocks since I'd bet money that they don't know how to properly fit someone for a pair. Anyway, don't let their website deter you, they really know their stuff when it comes to shoes. Not only does Abbadabba's have an impressive collection of brands, they have an impressive selection within each brand as well. These shoes are expensive, take Chaco sport sandals for example at around $100 - most independent stores will stock two or three styles, REI might stock four or five styles - I can't be sure but it looked like Abbadabba's carried their entire line. Every brand was well represented with lots of styles and colors, and based on my experience selling these types of shoes that means one thing - they move that merchandise, they have to to invest that kind of money in their stockroom. If you ever bought a pair of Birks at DSW and you thought "these don't fit, they're uncomfortable, they suck" you're probably not wearing the correct size. Birks fit your arch length, not your heel to toe length - ask someone at DSW to measure your arch length and then snap a picture of the face they make, I'd love to see that. The guys working in the Roswell store know how to fit people, know the differences between brands (such as this one runs narrower than that one), sell awesome insoles like Super Feet, technical socks for all kinds of sports/activities (socks are fascinating, I took a three hour class on sock construction once), and are just super nice and knowledgeable about the products they sell. So if you're looking for good foot support (which leads to good knee, hip, back, shoulder support - you know how that song goes) take your tootsies to Abbadabba's and experience what real shoes feel like, and don't be afraid of the prices - good shoes can last ten years if you take care of them - and they have a nice clearance section too :) read more

We went here looking for really hard to find Vibram Barefoot Running Shoes. The only places we were able to find them in stock were Abbadabba's and Half Moon Outfitters. Not only did this location of Abbadabba's have them but we worked with a salesperson named Katie who was helpful, patient, and highly knowledgeable about the product without ever being pushy. Walked in and looked around and tried on some clearance shoes this evening. Walked around some more and probably spent a total of 20-30 minutes in the store. I was never greeted or asked if I needed help, despite two employees looking directly at me several times. I had a pair of shoes picked out, but put them back because being ignored/treated like you're invisible really sucks. I went home and bought the shoes online from the brand's website (and I'm glad I did because they gave me a 15% military discount). Won't go back. read more

Stopped by this store so that my boyfriend could pick up a new pair of Vibrams Five Fingers for the Peachtree Road Race and we had a quick and easy visit! The store itself is located next to one of my favorite tapas restaurants, Red Sky Tapas. As we walked in, we were greeted by two store clerks and since we knew exactly what we wanted, one of the clerks was able to assist us quickly and efficiently. They have a handful of great designs for men so if you're looking for Vibrams, this is the store you want to check out. Unfortunately, the Big Peach Running Co. does not carry this brand so we were referred to this store. It's a cozy store. Well stocked and the all shoes and accessories were displayed nicely. The entire visit was probably about 15 minutes or less. We both appreciated the fact that they were quick to find the shoe styles and sizes we were looking for which made our visit painless. They had all types of shoes for men, women and children but since we visited for one particular brand/style, I am unable to account for the other merchandise in the store. I can vouch for the cleanliness and well organized layout. Great customer service and I'm sure we will return again if "the Vibrams" need to be replaced. read more

In fact, I hate shopping for shoes. I prefer to be barefoot most of the time (just ask my friends). But when I need shoes, especially the casual variety, I hit up Abbadabbas. This was my first time shopping at this location and it was a pleasure. The place is the largest of their stores and the staff was so friendly (but not nosey or obnoxious). I browsed and found the two pairs of shoes I liked and the young women (I forgot to get her name) was quick to ask the right questions and go get my sizes. She was unable to find one pair in my size, but found comparable styles that I might like (and also similar in price) for me to try. Huzzah - I liked both alternate pair she picked out, so suddenly I had a conundrum - which to choose. I walked the store in the shoes to make sure they were a good fit, while we made small talk and discussed the party I was going to later in the day (and which of the new shoes would be most fitting to wear) and by the end of it I had two new pairs of shoes for $150 and was a happy camper. I highly recommend these guys for any Toms, Birkenstocks, Uggs, Crocs, Dr. Martens, etc. They know these brands so well - they will find you the right, style, fit, etc. And they have amazing customer service! Nice shoe selection, but somewhat apathetic customer service. I base that on the experience I had when I ordered a pair of KEENS that they didn't have in my size at the store and was told it would take 1-2 weeks to come in. That was ok with me. But when I called to check on the status two weeks later, I was told it could take 2-4 weeks. That seems absurd - 4 weeks. I had to make several calls trying to check on the status, never got a straight answer, and was also told that they didn't put my shoe order in until a week after I had placed it in the store. I think they could've been more up front with me in the beginning and apologized when I called to check. I felt they wasted my time and didn't really care that they did. And that's not a great feeling to walk away with when you spend money with someone. So...I love their shoes. Been shopping at their Chastain/Buckhead store for years and years. Great styles that I like a lot. But I don't think they treated my very well. I don't need bubbly service, but I would like to be treated like they care about my service and business. Cannot say enough great things about the customer service in this store. We (my daughter and I) had to ask our salesman for his biz card because we knew we were going to write about him. You must ask for Sean Mackinder when you go. This man knows his inventory like the back of his hand. He was super fast, friendly, knew exactly what we wanted, even brought out other options "just in case", made us laugh a few times with his wonderful personality, had a quick answer for every question and made our shopping experience fun and quite productive. Sean is a true "people-person" working in just the right environment. While we tried on (many, many!) shoes, he was even fast enough to help other customers in between us without making us feel abandoned for even a moment. He allowed us to walk around and look without being "pushy". We were there for 3 hours! - but it went by so fast. We had no hesitation dropping over $1,500.00 in there and we only came in to buy one pair of athletic shoes - came out with 9 pairs of shoes/boots/sandals because the experience was so fun for us. He even offered to ship them for free since we were only there visiting; even emailed us our tracking numbers from UPS. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping make this the most fun mother-daughter shopping experience. When we are back in the area this is the ONLY shoe store we will visit.
