We went to europe for two weeks, my son didn't get sick and did not get diaper rash, we had alot of days when we only changed diaper in the morning and afternoon during our trip. He came back to day care, boom he got sick. i gave him probiotic but i had to stop or he will be sent home for having diarrhea. he had too many ear infections during his stay in this daycare that the doctor warned us he cant take anymore antibiotics. I talked to them regarding diaper rash. The last straw was one day he came home and he had diaper rash and dried poop all over his rash in the crack of his legs but no poop in the diaper, clearly the last diaper changed was not cleaned properly. its been more than a month now in his new day care: zero diaper rash, zero diarrhea (and started giving him again probiotics ), and he only got sick during the freeze time( week of january 31). i waited to get this review to see if we get the same experience in his new daycare. so if you want your child always sent home due to high temperature, or diarrhea or come home with diaper rash please enroll yyour child here. You will basically be paying them so you can take off work and take care of your sick child. I warned you!

The employees at Creative World go above and beyond, providing our little one a safe, clean and enriching learning environment. The facility also works diligently during COVID to keep the facility extra clean and the kids as protected as possible. Although the entire experience has been superb, we think the following points deserve special emphasis: The staff: From the front office, to the teachers, director and owner, the staff goes above and beyond to provide a safe, friendly and enriching environment for our daughter. They communicate clearly and often to ensure we understand what our daughter is learning and any additional resources she may need. Both the director (Ms. Amy) and owner have made a significant effort to meet our family and welcome us into the facility. The teachers in our class room (Ms. Kenna, Ms. Gabby and Ms. Rubby) have been wonderful. They provide tons of pictures and written updates via the app to let us know what our little one is learning and experiencing every day. The activities they do seem highly enjoyable and involved, much more than we would normally provide at home. The learning experience: Our little one has attended several pre-school/day care like facilities and has never experienced the level of development she has achieved at Creative World. We noticed just after a few months of attendance that our little one has made several noticeable developmental jumps. She is also extremely happy going to the school and has never complained or cried when we dropped her off -- something that we can't say for other facilities. If our 2 year old is obviously thrilled to go and has no issues getting dropped off, I think it is safe to say Creative World is doing something right. Reed Elementary is a truly special school…read more We discovered the school because of the Gómez & Gómez Dual Language program and the more we learned about Reed the more we liked it. The campus is well-maintained and beautiful (with a yard full of bluebonnets!) The student population is wonderfully diverse. The talented and caring staff and leadership are the best anyone could hope for. We moved and built a new home specifically to be in the zone for Reed. Our daughter's kindergarten experience was absolutely awesome, and the teachers made an incredibly good first impression on our entire family. We were all amazed by how quickly the kids picked up a second language and were able to jump right into conversation with others at the playground. We had unexpectedly opened up our daughter to a new world of cultural experiences, and more importantly, great friends. This early experience set the stage for many good things to follow. The other subjects are taught just as effectively as Language Arts. Math and Science are delivered in an interesting and fast-paced way that really clicks with our kid and others in her classes. "Specials" are a big highlight. The selection of books in the library, both English and Spanish, is great! The musical and dance opportunities in Performing Arts are amazing, from concerts throughout the school year to unique events like a special performance at the State Capital. The fundamentals that the kids are taught in Visual Arts provide an excellent foundation for future growth in drawing, painting, and understanding of color. The art projects our daughter brings home, and more importantly, creates completely on her own while AT home using her new and improving skills, are wildly impressive. Physical Education is also a favorite, with exposure to activities and sports that would have blown me away as a kid. And Running Club!! Everyone LOVES Running Club! After struggling with reading, our daughter was diagnosed with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia. The school provides special accommodations for these challenges. The amazing 504 team has been able to keep her learning along with her classmates and actually enjoying reading and writing, something that never happened for me as a kid. Our child's education is our top priority, and time and time again, we are convinced that we made the right choice with Reed Elementary.

Oakridge has been life changing for our daughter and our family…read more We first came to Oakridge because we were most interested in getting support for our 8 year old daughter who had gone through a big loss within our family. This loss caused a lot of anxiety and fear. It was critical that our daughter get personalized support at school to not just "deal" with the fear, but overcome it. I am proud to say that our daughter is now THRIVING. Her fears and anxieties are GONE and she is SO confident. Her emotional social and academic skills are light years above her peers. We love the guides/ teachers, peers, and community and we are now committed to staying at Oakridge Academy for the long-term. We have made long lasting connections and couldn't imagine being anywhere else.

I have really struggled with whether or not to write a review for our time at the Joule School. I…read morewill readily admit that we not only had a short stint, but we also came in halfway through a school year - Spring semester and one month of Fall semester in 2018. I feel like there are so many reasons why our experience turned out to be such a negative one, so I would not want to deter anyone from considering Joule if they feel it would be a good fit. But I do want to caution families about some of our final concerns, especially for younger children. Thus the rating - if I'm honest, our experience was more 2 Stars or less, but I can't bring myself to mark it as such so I hope you'll read for a full explanation. The positives about the school are extensive. When I first read their philosophy on their website I felt like it was written directly to me. I wished I'd had a school option like this growing up. Student-led, open to movement, encouraging of different ideas. Academics modeled around the whole child and multiple disciplines. Not teaching to tests or conforming to the ideas of school we've had since the Industrial Age. It was exciting and empowering. The teachers were also warm and welcoming. The Director was informative and knowledgeable. Their discipline was democratic and the children were all unique and inquisitive. I still love their ideas and principles in theory - but in practice, it did not always run smoothly. The lack of structure and student-led methods turned out to be a destructive combination for my 4-year-old son. He was bored at his previous daycare, so we thought the academic challenge would be good for his curious mind. However, he began to regress dramatically socially and emotionally. He started acting out with attitude changes and behaviors that he'd overcome or never had previously. And while I refuse to act as if he had no agency in those actions, he was clearly influenced by some of the other children in his class and in the school. Some of the subjects in the school were pretty mature. It also appeared that screen time and playtime was not always well supervised. Inappropriate language and actions were sometimes used by the kids and teachers without consequence or with varying consequences, which only led to confusion. I am all for "kids being kids". We went to Joule because we did not want our child to feel burdened with unnecessary rigidity. Yet we left feeling like he had been burdened instead with words, images, and thoughts unnecessary for a kid his age to be exposed to so young. We are now at a new school that focuses on a better mix of social, emotional, and academic intelligence - for us. Again, I want to reiterate that our experience may be unique. There were several families at Joule that were perfectly happy, if not ecstatic, with the program. There were chances to really bond with such a small group - it ran more like a co-op, really. Which can be great if everyone gets involved. When we left, I was grateful to see that it seemed like a lot of the new families were really coming together to beautify the space and make it safer and cleaner for the students. Unfortunately, there was also a complete turnover of teaching staff in the short time since we'd started. Therefore, combined with our son's disruptive behavior not improving with the new semester, we decided we should probably just change schools since there was already going to be so much more change. He has improved greatly in the month we have been at his new school. Joule simply did not have the resources or infrastructure to provide everything we needed or wanted. And it's not that our son has special needs - I would say if that were the case and point out that they are open about not having the tools to cope with certain kids' needs. If anything, since his experience at Joule, he now needs some additional help to process his feelings and emotions and overcome rude language and behavior. But since removing him from Joule, he's much happier, kinder, and more fulfilled. I am extremely sad that we had such a negative experience at the Joule School. I will continue to stress that others clearly did not. Every child is different. Every parent is different. Every family is different. I still love the heart, soul, and idea of Joule. But I did not love the stress, pain, or frustration we felt while we were there. I just want parents to be mindful. Especially for younger students. Ask questions. Get involved. But if it's not the right fit, don't hesitate to leave.

Besides a fabulous education and a faculty that has high expectations of what our kids can do, their hearts are being filled to see God in all they do and hide His word in their hearts. I see kids checking on a classmate that is standing to the side, upper classmen giving hugs to my little kids and teachers praying daily with their students. I stayed for chapel just the other day (occurs most Mondays) and I couldn't help but be overwhelmed to know how my kids are starting their week, focused on God, and giving thanks to Him. There is a much to consider when choosing a school and these are a few of my reasons for choosing and staying at Grace. We are so thankful Grace is a part of Georgetown!

My fellow Yelpers…read more About 2 weeks ago now my wife handed her cell phone to the teacher as I was at work and wanted to tell the new teacher " I appreciate your work and attitude you are giving us" as this is my sons 4th new teacher in 8 months. Apparently that is against the rules and the owner let us know we put the staff in danger. Crazy right? My 2 year Old son was a bit for the 4th time. Yes 4. 1st time - I get it. Kids will be kids. 2nd time - make sense please don't let it happen again. 3rd time - ok let's have a quick in person meeting with the GM. Which we did just to see if there is a way we could help out. 4th time - I wrote an email saying " franchise owner - while giving my son a bath tonight I realize he had a bite mark on him. I don't see a report. " Leena the franchise owner responded with " oh no let's have a meeting. And so we are clear we DO NOT have to give you a report for 48 hours as it didn't break the skin". (not being a human being or mom and saying hey kid was bit all good I'll Get your a report. They just avoided it. That's not loving or mother like if you ask me. But to each their own) Me - " I have already met with your GM so I am not sure what another conversation is going to do but nonetheless let's do a phone call." Leena - " I can't let me know when a good time to talk is" Me - " anytime after 515pm works for me and my fiancé" Leena - then calls me at 11am and 3:45pm the next day. Leena - " hey I have been trying to reach you guys. If this is not an issue please just let me know and I'll stop calling." Me - leena you called before 5:15 we can't answer as we are working" Fiancé - " leena I will be there today at 5:30 to pick the boys up let's chat". Leena - " it's seems we have lost your trust. And we are now canceling your enrollment." - then proceeds to bring up handing the phone off is a violation as she had no other ground to stand on. She used the week and a half old excuse of my fiancé handing the phone to the teacher as a protocol violation...lol stop it. She then tries to explain that's it's for the love of the kids. Riiiiight Taking your frustrations with us out on the kids really exemplifies love. Up rooting friends and memories the built of the last two years is love? All a dad was doing is making his kids re safe and not bitten for a 5th time. So that brings me to this review. This all happened Friday. The weekend of Presidents' Day. So guess what schools are closed Monday how do we coordinate with work and get us a new school in time? Super inconvenient and very impulsive on her part. Should have said we will give you a week at the minimal. You know act like a parent/human being. Now for the honest review: My kids went here for just under two years. we were the 5th kid enrolled here so I have room to talk. They Simply can't handle the growth of the Leander. - Understaffed. - Now extremely Over priced for being so tiny in comparison to others. - waiting lines to drop off are INSANE. Especially on cold days. - Small play ground. like tiny and it ruins the kids shoes as they turn dark black. It's cheaply made but at the time we signed up there we only 10 kids and now at 75+ - dirty facility (ie: a yogurt was on the spilt on the ground when we dropped our boys off. We came back 8 hours later and it was still there just now full of ants) - Constantly closing down with minimal lead time for the parents. Never know what to expect really. Not to mention now all the new teachers have their kids go here and have "different rules" if you will. This wasn't a thing before. You will notice the kids behind the front desk right when you walk in. There is a tiny cubby behind the front desk to the right side just look in there and you will see what I am talking about. Their head teacher Ms. Elizabeth was "promoted" about 8 months ago and the place went to downhill from there. They hired ms Normandy who is under qualified and under staffed. From the missed emails, giving my child face rub with no Medical papers signed. Giving my child milk after saying he can't have milk etc. The owner leena or the GM normandy will comment something witty like "we are doing our best to accommodate" and then never proceed to change anything.. they are trained by the franchise to use catchy phrases like " we care" or " align our souls" " we Strive to be the best" but let me tell you from a person who has been paying 2600 a month for convenience ( literally next to my house) that It's all smoke and mirrors. It's turned into a franchise only trying to gain as much ROI as possible. which I totally get but it devalues the love and care that they preach but don't practice. But man I do have to say this was a blessing in disguise we got our kids set up at new school. GM has a PhD, met the owner IN PERSON first day and they gave us all their personal contact info incase we feel like we need to talk.
