Aarvengard Lock & Key did the old bait and switch scam on me today. I called to have a 2013 Grand Caravan key fob programmed that I purchase on the internet. The older male that took my call ask me the year and make of vehicle. He said the person that would do the programming and cut me the emergency key that is with-in the fob would call me with a price. I thought that was strange.
The young lock smith that called me gave me a price of $88.00 dollar. When I tried to ask him questions, he would mumble in a low foreign accent. After he programmed my van he wanted another $20.00 to cut the key and add sales tax. We got into an argument. He wanted to play the funny math game with me on his phone.
He gave me a receipt with no company information on it. I could not make out his receipt because of his hand writing. I asked him the name of the company he works for and he said 24/7. He calls himself giving me a deal by charging me $118.78. Well, the dealership I go to wanted $120.00 and I turned them down, but they were up front with me.
Plus, the young lock smith came to my home in a van like mine and it was unmarked. I thought that was also strange. read more
