Staff are super friendly and everything was organized so well. While shopping in back for plants, I couldn't help but feel like I was in a friends's backyard. You know the type...they take an interest in hobbies, and have several projects in motion! i will definitely return when I am in the area. There is no on-site parking but there is plenty of street parking. They open at 10 AM, not 9 AM as posted in some places.

First off, I must give props to Steve for his well thought out responses to many of these entirely…read moreunreasonable reviews. Chill out, people! I am a dedicated thrift store enthusiast, generally seeking home décor, dishes, books and clothing, which is not really what Restore is stocking. On my first visit I left empty handed, though I saw some interesting things, and figured someday I'd get to the nitty gritty of Restore. Well, we just moved to the area, and are doing a ton of work on our property. My husband mentioned he needed some doors for our greenhouse, and I recalled seeing some at Restore, so we ended up returning just a few days following! Yeah, that's right, they have doors aplenty (like 50+), and that's just the start. We bought three doors (lol, so random), one of which is an antique farmhouse door with a giant pane of perfect glass. Swoon! Next, doorknobs for $5 and hinges for 50 cents each. My husband found several super specialty plumbing valves that retail for $250+ priced at $25 (seriously, I looked it up!). We also got a yellow fig for $5 'cause I needed a little fun! An aside regarding the plants: they get extras from nurseries, but they also get many from a local guy who just loves to grow plants, and they are gorgeous and giant! My fig was over 2 feet tall, there were huge hot pink hydrangeas, passion flower, herbs, tomatoes, etc. There is a variety of furniture, bits of flooring that would probably be enough for a bathroom remodel, toilets, sinks, light fixtures, paint, tools, hardware, appliances, etc. The store is large, easy to navigate and pretty organized, all things considered (it's still a thrift store, though!). A lot of it is used, but there are new things, too. Basically, if you are remodeling and not in search of a specific item/style/brand, Restore is the place. We are planning to build a tiny house in the future and Restore will be our go to spot. We'll look here first, then go to a big box store for anything additional. The prices can't be beat, there are some seriously unique finds, and every employee we've interacted with has been as pleasant as can be.

I write this with regret as we always try to support a local business over the big box companies…read more After a week of interaction I would avoid this company. Lot of good talk but that's all. We scheduled their service guy well in advance but got no notice until the last minute when he was at the wrong address and upset. We stopped at their location in Newberg and gave them photo of the washer info 5 days prior. The service tech (Wendell) showed up with preconceived idea of what was wrong despite even the error code on the machine. Did little to no investigation except saying the machine was over 5 years old, we needed to "junk" it, and to go their shop and buy a new Speed Queen. Totally torched any other product including our Maytag (which they sell). He did no investigative work and walked out. My step son looked on the internet and found the exact problem...unplug and let it re-set. Its now been 2 days since and numerous loads (after a week without a washer) with it working fine. Wendy (the Owner) called my wife today and admitted that their service guy "lacks communication skills". We also have a email from their sales person saying the same thing. It appeared to us he only wanted a show up fee and to sell us a new machine. And they marked us as "out of the area" on the service call even though we are only 2 miles from their business. I hate putting down a local business but I'd avoid this company even if it means going to the big box companies.

From start to finish the installation went well. I knew it was going to be a beast. (Re &re wall…read moreoven) Scott & Jeff handled it well and everything worked and looked great when they were done. Quote was very reasonable. I'm hanging on to their card for future work.
