I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Aarons; my whole family go there and I would never go anywhere else. The Optometrists are so knowledgeable, I have every confidence that I am getting the best, up to date, thorough, eyecare. I feel that they are honest and professional and genuinely care about their patients. They do not sell for selling's sake, like some other chain opticians I could mention! My Mother previously went to one of these big chain opticians and was, basically, taken advantage of and ripped off; which makes me quite angry when it is your eyesight and a matter of health and something which has a big impact on lifestyle. I have full confidence that Aarons will never do this and now, so does my Mum. She has been very well cared for at Aarons. The practice is clean, comfortable and relaxing and the service, from booking an appointment to walking out is superb. Very friendly, they all put you at ease. They have good opening hours for convenience and if I needed an appointment urgently, I have always been seen, even without an appointment. They have a fantastic range of spectacles to choose from and give good, honest advice on which type suit you. I also get contact lenses from them and although they always give me free trial pairs of the latest lenses, I never feel under pressure to spend more if I don't need to. This is my personal opticians which I have been going to for years now. I used to go to a well known mega-company highstreet optician but came here for the prices and service. The staff are absolutely great and thorough and I know them on a first name basis! They provide a brilliant after care service, help choosing spectacles and advise on other eye care issues. They are award winning, having won the Outstanding Optomotrist of the Year 2005. Can get quite busy but that is testament to their achievements in eye care. read more

I have been using aarons optometrists for nearly 13 years now and I cannot fault their service. All of the staff are extremely helpful, professional and genuinely care. They're not like a big high street chain that only care about making money, they genuinely care about your eyes. I've had the same pair of glasses since I started needing them and not once have I been forced into changing them. As a contact lense wearer, the team are absolutely fantastic, you pay your monthly fee for contact lenses, which is a small price to pay for perfect eyesight and all of your aftercare is free. Aarons actively encourage you to come with any problems, a little red eye, stys, inflections, aarons will happily see you if you walk off the street. They are medical practitioners which mean they can prescribe you the medication needed to fix your problem. In a high street chain, you would have to go to a hospital for that kind of treatment. Any eye test you have is extremely thorough, I can't profess to understand some of the tests and why they are done but I know they are done to ensure my eyes are in the best conditions possible. I understand all about my eyes, I have dry eyes, an astigmatism and my prescription varies from eye to eye, this has all been explained to me so that I can look after myself as best as possible. Anyone who really values their eyesight should never go anywhere else. The team are passionate, professional and have more qualifications in the trade than it is thought to be humanly possible.
