Cornerstone was the second Drywall company we contacted and their quote came in under the first bid, even though it included additional services such as painting the ceiling and didn't require any additional prep work on our part. The work was tedious as it required using drywall of different thickness and double layers in some areas to accommodate new cabinets and tie into existing plaster walls and ceilings. To eliminate the issue of matching ceiling texture, Mike proposed skim coating the ceilings of linked rooms so that the ceiling texture was uniform. The drywall/painting team that began work on our project had a couple issues that marred the result of their hard work. The team seemed focused on speed of work instead of quality, with the result of some details being missed. Examples would be ceiling LED placement, wrong drywall thickness in a key area, and dings in the ceiling. These issues were identified by Mike during inspection and he immediately took over the project himself. Mike corrected each issue, replacing existing drywall where necessary and making multiple visits to ensure the work was done properly. Thanks Mike.

I am happy to report that Ruiz Painting did a terrific job. During the estimate discussion, Mr. Ruiz listened more than he talked. He is a smart and patient man, and took his time in determining the best course of action. He asked excellent questions, and quickly came to an understanding of my needs. We are selling our home, and wanted to make it as attractive as possible to buyers. He inspected the house carefully, making note of places where repairs would be needed prior to painting. I especially liked how he explained the process. When asked, he readily provided a certificate of insurance coverage. I have always preferred to use Benjamin Moore paints, but also appreciate being able to get qualified advice from an experienced professional. This is something just that can't be found at the big box stores. About two years ago I refinished my kitchen cabinets and painted my home's exterior. The gutters were covered in mildew and the kitchen cabinets had been hastily painted by the prior owner with cheap paint and had numerous finishing defects. The owner advised me on surface prep and recommended excellent products, including a paint that would minimize the need for multiple coats on my exterior. He even custom tinted a recommended primer (which wasn't a Benjamin Moore product, surprisingly) for my cabinets. Two years later, in a home with a young child, both paint jobs still look as good as they did on day one. I highly recommend them and will be buying all of my paints here.
